BrandsEye is being used for monitoring social media and other online media for reporting purposes to funders/donors and other partners. It is being used by the marketing department predominantly, but has impact on the fundraising and operations departments in terms of securing and sourcing future project funding based on stats relating to reach and advertising value equivalency, as well as new stakeholders within the network of entrepreneurs we support.

  • The platform can be overwhelming to someone who is only needing to use a fraction of what the software can do.
I can only speak from my experience of how I use it and plan on using it. It is useful in monitoring PR management and social media management.

One of the added pressures of working on a sporting event is that your sponsors and partners expect a tangible measure of their brand reach through your online conversations.

The Cape Town Festival of Running is one such event. While it has been running for 18 years, they have never had an online presence, until 2016.

Through the BrandsEye platform, the data provided played a fundamental role in how we drove the communication strategy, while the overall information assists us in making recommendations for 2017.

I have worked with a number of social media monitoring and analytics platforms, and I always return to and recommend Brandseye.
  • Excellent client service and technical knowledge, as well as the willingness to trouble-shoot data anomalies in your reporting and helping you find the answer.
  • The unique ability to attach a monetary value to online conversation, as well as provide reputation & sentiment data.
  • The ability for the platform to actively "learn" from you, especially to verification and curating sentiment.
  • A super-lite "budget" account option for short-term projects.
Providing a tangible value to online conversation for event sponsors and partners.
The ability to track reputation & sentiment, which assists with crisis communications.

We use BrandsEye for monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc campaign reporting. It also helps us define campaigns for better targeting based off the audience BrandsEye overviews.

  • There really isn’t much to not like. I guess from a consolidation point of view we’d like to reply from within BrandsEye - but this may or may not already be happening ;)
It’s been invaluable for or Social team and has already proved an excellent tool. Our best use-case to date was monitoring higher volume and increases in negative sentiment on one of our products. We drilled down into the detail and determined the cause and created a report showing the impact. This eventually went up to Senior Management and relevant shareholders to resolve the problems and make better business decisions.
