We are using the tool for production level work, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

Mostly for the complexity in analyzing data using visualizations or building dashboards.

We have already renewed our Datameer license for year number 2. They have come a long way since their initial release and I am expecting them to be a top BI tool in the coming year. The tool was built by one of the original creators of Hadoop. Therefore fits on top of a Hadoop cluster like a glove.

Employees with intermediate SQL and Hive knowledge can generate reports faster than using Datameer . It does have visualization tool but I don't think it is anything that cannot be accomplished by importing the data in Excel .

Datameer has become an integral part of our offering.

It is the first and only end-user focused application for Hadoop based analytics.

The latest version of Datameer provides great data visualization with instant preview of results.
