What is DataWeave?

DataWeave offers a suite of analytics solutions for brands and retailers that rely on ecommerce, including pricing intelligence and analytics, assortment analytics, and promotional insights, as well as brand protection capabilities (e.g. counterfeit detection).

Pricing Intelligence

Data to enhance top line and bottom line by basing strategic pricing decisions on accurate data. Offer online shoppers the most competitive prices by promptly adapting to consumer demand and rivals’ pricing. Optimize margins with pricing that’s just right. Evolve from speculative price changes to basing decisions on data-driven recommendations. Stay on top of market moves by setting alerts to keep an eye on price changes across crucial SKUs, categories or brands.

Assortment Analytics

Maximize sales by spotting emerging trends and filling your assortment with in-demand products. Can be used to keep shoppers happy by proactively identifying gaps in your catalog and potential disruptions to avoid out-of-stocks. Identify and act on high-demand gaps in product assortment, relative to top competitors. Track and compare the breadth and depth of your product assortment to act on areas of improvement along price ranges, product categories, brands and more.

Promotional Insights

A tool used to outperform rivals by responding to growing consumer demand for deals. Designed to enable users to run smarter, data-driven online promotions using detailed insights on competitors' campaigns. Analyze historical patterns to anticipate and respond to potential outcomes. Correlate promotions (and competitors’) with sales volume fluctuations to pinpoint exactly where to focus promotional expenditure. Optimize marketing by tracking the seasonality of product types, brands and product attributes featured in your competitors’ promotions.

So we are not a retailer and did not use this in the traditional sense. We are a service provider so we used it to compare pricing for the services we provide OUTSIDE of listing - i.e. commercial BPOS, property evaluations for banks and holding companies etc.

Again, this is not being used in the traditional way but rather outside of the box. For service, I think there are a lot of options to add functionality. Although it does function it just does not function as well as it could with additional analytic data from prolonged research. More time would do this well for service pricing.
