Team members of the following group/department use DB2 in our organization:
1. Planning/IT dept.
2. Exam cell
3. Student section
4. Accounts dept.
While write/update intensive queries are run by Student section and Accounts department, Planning/IT department uses the relational data for analysis.

The teams that primarily use Db2 functionality are E-commerce Data Analysis, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Enterprise Data Management. However, there is broad use of query services against the data warehouse services across the enterprise that support services for Web, Native App, Recomendation Engine, and various AI use cases like Conversational AI and Computer Vision data points.

Our Information systems team deal directly with the DB2 database. We do have over 150 staff who access data from the DB2 database via a web front end.
our information systems team are database managers who write queries. Our general users are teaching and admin staff. Their main need for the data is based around student data. They enter task marks, teaching and learning comments and report comments.

Although I am currently using MySQL, IBM API Connect, IBM Cloud Databases, and Db2 for study purposes only, each of these products represents distinct and essential business functions in an enterprise environment.MySQL: It is a relational database management system. It represents the business function of data and information management.IBM API Connect: This product represents the integration and management function of APIs, essential for the development of digital business strategies. It allows companies to create, manage and secure their APIs, facilitating integration between different systems and applications, and promoting innovation and business agility.IBM Cloud Databases: Represents the cloud database management function, offering flexibility, scalability and efficiency for companies operating in cloud environments. It supports multiple database workloads, helping organizations quickly adapt to changing business and technology needs.Db2: IBM's Db2, being an advanced database management system, represents the business functions related to high-speed transaction processing and complex analytics. It is ideal for environments where reliability, data security and performance are critical, such as financial systems, logistics operations and big data analytics.Each of these products plays a vital role in supporting an organization's business operations and strategies, ranging from data management to digital integration and innovation.

They are from different functions, such as backend developers, devops/SRE engineers, stakeholders, etc. Different people are granted different roles to ensure they have the proper permissions to access the data.

IT uses DB2 for data access to feed inventory database for inventory tool among others.

All mission critical applications in the organization that include: order management, vendor management, purchasing and financial transactions, logistics, and fulfillment.
