From microservices to AI workloads, Db2 is a hybrid database providing availability, built-in refined security, scalability, and intelligent automation for systems.

I have long used this product in our research project as a cloud-based database as a service for a variety of needs, including timely and safe data availability and manipulation. High data availability and low latency are offered by IBM DB2. IBM DB2 will never fail, regardless of the volume of data.

Db2 is very much flexible and scalable database ,as we have started very small with just putting limited data in Db2 as a backup database for our existing database but as we were using Db2 we were very much satisfied by its enhanced capabilities ,better integration with analytics engine and provision for artificial intelligence features.

Many different scalability options from the very simple and easy-to-manage single instance with 1 to many databases to pureScale clusters.
Plus of course the imho unique DPF setup which pushes Db2's MPP capabilities to stretch a single database across many (physical or virtual) servers and even extends such huge systems to support HA configurations.

The product is good as far as the scalability is concerned, good support for indexing, creating views etc. It can be sharded into different parts for better read and write performance and master-slave replica creation is also there for better reading performance. Overall good as far as the scalability of the database is concerned.
