PowerMax is the successor to the VMAX line of arrays and continues along iteration in Dell EMC's Symmetrix product line, which has been around for nearly 30 years and is the gold standard for enterprise storage. It is extremely fast, reliable, and efficient. The Unisphere management interface is faster and easier to use than previous generations. All the expected data services are there: Snapshots, QoS, replication, deduplication, compression, etc. PowerMax is a standard rack-mount configuration that co-exists in the rack with any other hardware, unlike previous generations that required its own cabinet(s)."

PowerMax is suited for a mid-tier to enterprise company. It can easily take on and manage what it may take with various storage arrays. This can work in any vertical, healthcare, manufacturing, financial, insurance, etc. It can easily manage massive workloads and deliver very high-end performance. Is not feasible for small companies, this can and would be very expensive to maintain and operate, and it truly doesn't make sense when a much smaller array can be used.

Stacks up very well. In storage bake off's, evaluating these products as a whole, PowerMax normally outpaces the vast majority.
