Dotloop has revolutionized the way real estate professionals handle their transactions and paperwork. With its user-friendly interface and powerful features, it offers a range of use cases that have made the lives of agents, assistants, and clients much easier.

One key use case is the ability to keep all documents related to a property organized in one place. Users can easily upload and store contracts, addendums, and other important files, eliminating the need for physical paperwork and reducing the risk of misplaced documents. This has been particularly beneficial for large property management offices like the one at a hospital, where it has significantly reduced the time spent on signing, filing, recording data, and reporting.

Another valuable use case of Dotloop is its seamless e-signature functionality. Users can send contracts and other documents to clients and other parties involved in a transaction for signatures in just seconds. This eliminates the need for in-person meetings or mailing physical copies of documents, making the entire process more efficient and convenient. Clients can sign purchase agreements and other important forms from anywhere, without having to leave their homes.

Additionally, Dotloop's collaboration features have streamlined communication between real estate professionals and their clients. Users can easily share digitized documents with trusted partners and affiliates, ensuring everyone is on the same page throughout the transaction process. This has improved transparency and eliminated the need for excessive back-and-forth emails or phone calls.

Overall, Dotloop has become an invaluable tool for real estate professionals by providing a centralized platform for document organization, e-signatures, and collaboration. Its intuitive design and time-saving features have made it a preferred choice among agents, assistants, clients, and transaction managers alike.

Users highly recommend utilizing Dotloop for the sharing, signing, and storage of documents, considering it an essential tool in the real estate industry. They praise Dotloop's seamless and user-friendly transaction program, advising others not to give up on it and to allow some time to become familiar with its time-saving capabilities. To maximize the benefits, users suggest joining a specific team within Dotloop to leverage company-wide document templates. Dotloop is also recommended for streamlining processes, fostering paperless workflows, and facilitating team collaboration for organizing documents. Users highly endorse Dotloop as an excellent solution for managing documents and maintaining order in signatures. They appreciate the user-friendly interface that guides them through the necessary fields. However, users suggest exploring alternative platforms such as Authentisign or Docusign specifically for e-signatures. To enhance proficiency in using Dotloop, users encourage watching instructional videos and tutorials provided by Dotloop. They advise checking with local associations and researching other available options before committing to Dotloop. Despite some limitations, Dotloop receives high praise as a reliable platform for efficient paperless document management. Users emphasize dedicating time to fully grasp all the features of Dotloop and recommend attending Dotloop webinars for comprehensive training and review. Lastly, they recommend offering training to employees to fully leverage the capabilities of Dotloop's platform.

  • Saves Data in an organized fashion.
  • Ease of transferring documents.
  • Is easily integrated into the MLS index and inventory of properties.
  • Sometimes the program freezes as it updates an upload.
  • I wish it would notify users of a pending document via text to create urgency.
  • I wish it would accept jpg instead of just pdf.

  • Signature verifications - doesn't allow multiple users for the same email
  • Workflows - keeps the flow of the transaction well, and allows for remote communication between office and agent
  • Workflows - they could be more customizable, and effective immediately instead of new loops only
  • Reports - this could be MUCH more expanded; including client reports, broken down by agents, clients, new by date, etc.

  • Dotloop has a great user interface. The features that seem small but are a huge help such as automatically scrolling to where the person needs to review and sign is very creative.
  • It has been great to be able to pull documents from the app on a mobile device to a web browser on a desktop.
  • It is very easy to organize documents (add, remove, arrange, edit, etc.)
  • I have occasionally encountered the software's wording/tips covering the text on the document.

  • Unique links for each user makes it easy and fool proof to use.
  • It is so easy to use there are no instructions needed, even for first time users.
  • Can be clunky at times if you need to make edits and resigning existing documents.
  • The admin interface is a not the most user friendly.
  • Should have more training videos for setting it up and adding documentation.

  • Dotloop's user interface is the best I've seen! It brings you exactly to where you need to read and sign.
  • The security features were great and it makes it easy when the client doesn't need to create an account.
  • Convenience is everything! Dotloop has made it easier than ever to complete multiple days of paperwork.
  • The viewing could be a bit more user friendly when opening from different types of devices.
  • It would be nice if there was an alert that clients don't need to try to login when opening a document since they don't have an account.

  • Being able to sign a document without having to come into the office.
  • Being able to have multiple people sign that document.
  • Having everything saved in one place is a plus.
  • I'd like to see better functionality on the property management side. Right now it seems geared more toward real estate sales, which is fine. I make it work for me.
  • It would be nice to be able to just choose signature, date, or initials etc. and just be able to click every line and have it appear rather than having to click on the item you want every time. I know you can copy and paste but you have to click paste every time.
  • It would be great if people could sign using one email. I get why they have to have separate emails, so that not just one person is signing for everyone but it would be great if there was some other way to be able to get more than one person to sign using just one email. A lot of people don't have separate emails or even an email address at all.

  • Various permissions, so privacy is ensured but tasks can be shared with the right parties
  • Status differentiation to make it easy to see what needs to be done next
  • Fairly decent customer service
  • Somewhat clunky interface that can be a little dizzying at times
  • Weird login protocols (at least when I was using it), making it hard to switch from the free to paid version or vice versa
  • Membership limitations that make businesses buy more subscriptions than they need, or not enough
