Facilitates operations when users are off-site allowing us to work remotely. We are easily able to share files in real time and it is most comforting to know that our files are securely stored
  • easy to use
  • no longer need to email confidential docs instead they are shared in dropbox
  • love the fact that it indicates that whenever I save a file it auto lets me know that I am saving in DB so I don't get confused
  • DB really supports the new working environment where we can be working from anywhere in the world!!
  • perhaps ability to see who last modified a file
I can be a digital nomad!!

Dropbox Business is used on literally second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour, etc. As the Founder, CEO, and Integrated Logistics & Solutions Director for TriState Events Dropbox Business is our life source for capturing the work and integrity of our employees who telework as it captures each log in and activity NOT ONLY for those who telework BUT ALSO for EVERY single file share that occurs in and out of our company with noncompany affiliates and intercompany "safe" recipients. Dropbox Business permits our firm/company to set expiration on files shared outside the company when sharing with noncompany participants. This ensures we maintain integrity of our confidential data. Dropbox Business encryption techniques works perfectly with our needs whereas as we progress with our growth into 2024 we would like to work with Dropbox team to be able to create a partnership of having our Vendor Registration Contracts that we already have designed and approved by our attorney, currently found in only a fillable pdf on our website, thus converted to an online submission only whereas the client has the ability to click submit, and the file is automatically saved in Dropbox Business eliminating the need for the end user to download and send to us in an attachment via email. In addition, we would like to also include a payment link which prevents submission without payment being included. Dropbox Business has many more tools available. It would be awesome to have a high level bulleted "Here's What We Offer" when opening Dropbox Business." Businesses who are looking for clear tracking of productivity among employees while protecting documents and managing who has access to what data then Dropbox Business is definitely their destiny. With all access points controlled by the Admin, Dropbox Business also permits Admin to provide access license to such people outside the org like the companies CPA, Attorney, while assigning those individuals their own folder as well. This is very helpful and reduces and/or eliminates email clutter as well.
  • Capture activity reports of license users (all activity across Dropbox, shared data in and out of Dropbox).
  • Reports of data files shared with nonlicensed or out of the firm individuals.
  • Data encryption, security protocols for the business, BRAVO! Job Well Done!
  • Permits secure partnership across its platforms with additional software gurus such as Adobe, Microsoft. As a Beta Tester and ProDeveloper for MS, Adobe, and Host-Server on GoDaddy this ability is phenomenal which makes my job as a developer using various platforms wordpress, webbuilder, WIX, etc much more user-friendly when pulling down files.
  • Removing and adding new licenses.
  • Scanning lost or recovering data, cleaning data.
  • Oh my, Dropbox Business is and must be the most user-friendly cloud based option for uploading, downloading and moving multiple small, medium, and even large files internally and even externally!
  • No matter what file format... Dropbox Business will communicate to you what you need! Communication is key with any software! Love at first site! Dropbox Business, you had me at "Happy Dropboxing!"
  • For Businesses who create their own contracts with their legal firms, provide more user-friendly instructions how to use Dropbox "Link" system to be able to embed these onto the end users website if there is desired destination such as ours, whereas the aforementioned we would be able to then form a submit button and provide a payment button. If they do not pay then it will not submit. Providing these types of instructions with the add-ons of new service plans would only increase revenue for Dropbox and potentially a new revenue stream. Maybe even offer tutorials for redevelopers who desire to learn this aspect of DropBox. Why not? Again it added revenue, what company is not always seeking ways to build into its business plan new revenue streams.
  • New ways to suspend users without being charged for things like if the employee has been suspended without pay etc... things like this are a positive for the small business sector.
  • Offer annual contracts, however they can pay monthly with small interest connect with Adobe Admin to see how they do it. I believe they offer that type of program. Penalty applies if they cancel before the year is up.
  • Offer referral programs to long term clients... Bring Dropbox Business a new client who signs a year contract even if they pay monthly receive 25% of your annual contract even if you pay monthly.
Everywhere as aforementioned it is well suited ... The largest and most appropriate... A business can never ever have too many locations of its data stored. This option allows my company to have our data stored in one location and everyone works it in real time whereas the updates go in "Real time" no matter who is working that file. This is the most awesome trick of the entire program not to mention that I can see everything that Bobbiesue is working on out west at the same time pull another activity report to see if indeed Peggy logged in for work from home at 2p yesterday as she stated she did. Its a check and balance for small businesses such as ours that runs on the honor system for telework employees. At this time, there just is not any less appropriate!

I like the layout of documents when you first log in. It is a very simple file system and easy to find things that I need. I also like the design of it, it is very pleasing to the eye with the color scheme and layout.
  • Layout.
  • Simple filing system.
  • Color scheme.
  • Easy.
  • Compatibility.
  • Sharing.
  • Less features that I like than Google Drive.
I sometimes have to access files of images that people send to me through Dropbox. I definitely can't stop using it but it is not a preferred way that I like to work. I think maybe they could make things more compatible and I definitely get annoyed when I have to use it.

We use Dropbox for Business (DFB) as a vehicle for sharing within our organization. In addition since we work with a variety of external consultants and experts who we do NOT want to provide access to our secure corporate network, we use DFB and provide them with access to DFB in order for them to provide information, review information, etc. DFB is automatically backed up to our corporate servers in a highly secure manner.
DFB has proven to be a convenient solution and we use its team functions to organize information by projects and provide specific team members (internal or external) to the specific team files/information.
  • Provide access for external consultants to information without needing to provide access to our secure corporate network.
  • Organize by teams and projects.
  • Straightforward process for adding and removing team members and access.
  • More helpful training information for users.
  • More helpful training information for Administrators.
For cases where one needs to share information with team members who do not have access to the corporate network. As a repository for secure and team based information sharing. Also can control team member access privileges in a straight forward manner and easily add/remove team members. We have used it to share a wide variety of type of files/documents and it seems to handle well. Also we work with a variety of global team members and the system accessibility is very good.

Our organization uses Dropbox Business across our whole organization. We have employees who are scattered in different locations with several working from home and one working out of state. Dropbox enables us to collaborate on workflow and to share documents across all of the various locations in which we have employees. Not only does it allow us to do this, but it also provides security in that it enables us to store all of these documents, readily accessible, in a cloud. We are very happy with Dropbox and it provides great value to our organization.
  • It enables us to share documents and workflow to all employees for whom access is allowed regardless of where in the world they may be located.
  • Dropbox Business provides a means to safely store our documents without having to have physical copies.
  • Dropbox also allows for easy organization of our documents in folders and such in the system.
  • I don't personally have any thing which I think Dropbox Business could improve upon. I am happy overall.
Dropbox Business is especially well-suited for organizations that have multiple locations, especially with a lot of remote employees as a result of Covid-19. Once again, I can't think of a specific situation in which is less appropriate as it certainly meets all of the needs of our organization. It offers a lot in terms of being able to work together as a team.

I had been using DropBox personal for years and when we began to look for a solution for file sharing, our first instinct was to use our internal network. Well, we soon found out how challenging it can be for people to figure out how to navigate shared drives. On top of that we needed to share files with multiple users who are not employees and don't have access to the network. DropBox Business allowed us to not only share files, but to also organize and back up important financial documents for more redundancy without to fear of losing local data.
  • Backup of important files away from the local network.
  • Organization.
  • File sharing with unlimited individuals and file size.
  • Not the biggest fan of the user interface.
  • Sometimes it randomly un-syncs, if that's even a word.
If your organization needs to share files with individuals outside of your network and you also want quick access via DropBox Business app, then I have found DropBox for business to be ideal. There have been countless occasions when someone asked be for a file while I was away from my desk and it was extremely easy and satisfying to be able to just access DropBox from my phone and send/share that file.

Dropbox Business is an awesome software compared to other similar softwares. It is one of the most easiest softwares to use. I love its user interface, it is very simple and easy to navigate. I can easily share crucial files to people swiftly.
  • It has a very intuitive user interface so navigation becomes very easy.
  • I can quickly share files to people.
  • Its security is marvelous, that is very impressive.
  • It is a bit expensive. The price should be lower.
  • Locating files is difficult. Sometimes it is extremely difficult to find important files.
I can easily organize my work. I am deeply impressed with its performance and functionality. Also, its mobile application is excellent. I like the interface of the mobile app. However, there are some downsides that should be fixed. It is really troublesome to locate important files. I struggle to locate crucial documents. Another thing is with respect to its pricing, I think that its pricing should [be] reduce as it is a bit expensive.

I need to share files with a number of collaborators outside my organization and that's what we mainly use it for. We need it for very large files depicting contemporary fine artwork. We work with museums and very high end collectors. We don't have lots of departments, only one, and we all work remotely. We were working remotely before the pandemic.
  • I like that I know where items will be when I download them. With other services, sometimes I don't know where the downloads go.
  • I like the option to be able to have everything online only in case I need to save room on my laptop.
  • I like the option to have real-time syncing between my desktop and the folders in Dropbox.
  • I deeply dislike the navigation. I find it very clunky and hard and not intuitive. A few years ago Dropbox redesigned its navigation and I'm frequently at a loss to figure out where to access the option I need.
  • It should be quicker and easier to figure out how to send a file. I wish I could do that from the drop-down menu in my taskbar under the Dropbox logo.
  • I wish I had the option under the same drop-down menu in my taskbar under the Dropbox logo to go to where the files are on my laptop, which I find much easier to navigate.
We love using it to manage large files. We don't use it so much for collaboration, but that's not quite where our needs lie. We don't use the collaborative spaces, or the work spaces, so I'm not sure our opinion is best for that functionality. Dropbox also works well as a way to send large files but also as a way to manage them and keep them in the cloud. It's really the main tool we use for those purposes.

Dropbox Business is being used in our organization to share files between individuals and external contacts. It solves the issue of not having to give non-domain users access to our internal network, opening up security issues. It also allows us to not have to upgrade server storage on site.
  • Sharing
  • Storage
  • Syncing to PC
  • Pricing structure
  • Maybe add Active Directory (AD) integration
Dropbox Business is well suited for scenarios where internal network storage space is limited. This eliminates the need to have to upgrade internal infrastructure. It's also well suited to share files with external customers or partners, especially large files that don't fit over email.
It's probably less appropriate for a very small business that doesn't need to incur additional costs.

Dropbox Business is being used by our entire organization. Dropbox Business offers sharing and storing of files and collaborating tools. We get 5TB of space with our Standard Plan and it has easy-to-use team management and collaboration tools. While they offer other plans depending on your business size, the standard plan offers quite a bit of storage.
  • Collaborating tools makes it easy for working on projects with team members remotely.
  • 5 TB of storage offers quite a bit of space to utilize.
  • Having a team management feature offers user friendly and efficient working space.
  • Allowing more than one admin would be great.
Dropbox Business is well suited for centralizing all of our organization's files and data in a single place so anyone can work on them. You can control access, length of access, and how they can access them. You receive 180 days of history so you can restore any previous files if needed too. Working remotely and being able to access files in the same area makes working more efficient.

Dropbox Business is used across my organization widely. We trust Dropbox to store all our business data safely and with an instant backup and it allows us to share files in real-time. We don't use email to send documents, we just update the document and it's available for all shared users. It also allows each user to keep documents private but with a backup easy to restore.
  • Sharing files
  • Saving older versions of each file
  • Sharing files with external users by link
  • Sharing files with people outside your organization can be troublesome for external users, many report difficulties accessing the files
  • The Paper app is a great idea but very poor in features, making it useless
  • Changing the place you store your data locally could be difficult and lengthy
It's great for storing and sharing files across the organization. When a team needs to access files frequently, the latest version is always on your computer. No need to make any manual processes. It's not appropriate though if you want to modify the same file at the same moment. Conflict copies will appear and it gets complicated.

We use Dropbox Business throughout our organization. We build templated apps for third-party clients and the work that we do requires the creation and storage of a high volume of creative assets. Dropbox Business gives us a central storage location that our whole team can easily access. Everyone has visibility into our Dropbox and no one has to keep large design files on their local drives.
  • Ease of use - Dropbox provides a simple interface that most team members and clients are already familiar with.
  • The ability to have Dropbox folders accessible from Finder makes it seem like your cloud storage is local but you don’t take up space on your hard drive.
  • Dropbox makes it easy to share files with anyone.
  • Initial setup of the Dropbox app has been tricky for some of our less tech-savvy team members.
  • It’d be great to have the ability to create a custom link for assets/folders instead of just having the randomly generated url.
Dropbox Business provides a simple and cost-effective way to store and share files. It’s especially helpful for teams who create larger files (raw design files for example) and for teams who often need to share large files with people outside the organization. It also saves a lot of time since multiple people can have access to the same folders. I don’t even have to send my team a link to an asset; I can just tell them it’s in Dropbox and they know where to find it.

I think most teams would find this tool to be valuable. The only scenario I can think of where it is less appropriate is for teams who just don’t have many files to store.

I have used a personal Dropbox for years, so I was excited to use it in the workplace as well. We needed a storage and file share solution that could quickly transfer 4K videos. We also use Microsoft OneDrive, but we ran out of space. My boss and I both use Dropbox for personal use, so it was an easy transition.
  • Easy, intuitive interface.
  • Sync with desktop.
  • Push-button sharing.
  • I’d like to customize the sharing settings more easily.
  • More storage space is always a need.
  • More perks for long-standing customers.
Dropbox Business is great for a small business like ours. Companies that deal with sensitive data (financial services, government, etc) might need a solution that’s more focused on security. I could see a lot of scenarios where links get shared and forwarded. If that’s not a concern, this would be an excellent solution.

We use Dropbox Business across our department, whole company as well as with vendors. It allows for more storage so we could easily share photos, large documents even to vendors. It makes the process a lot easier, faster, it's secure, allows a significant amount of storage.
  • store large amount files, photos, videos in organized way
  • easily share files among colleagues, vendors
  • easy to navigate the platform
  • access files quickly , filter by searching
  • unable to tag files, photos , could be better way to organize photos
  • synchronizing is a little slow
  • large files take long to load
  • mobile version could be more user friendly
Dropbox is one of the best compared to competitors. It's appropriate for every business need and size of company. It's great for sharing large files among coworkers and outside vendors. They are a little expensive so depends on company needs and budget. Your company may be able to just use the free version however you just have to delete files after sharing because of space available.

Our entire organization uses Dropbox Business. It's a great way to transfer files between teams, consultants & clients. Also, it's a very simple way to backup data.
  • Dropbox Business makes it very simple to backup files on-line
  • Dropbox Business allows team members to access files on-line as if they're working locally
  • Dropbox Business provides a secure location to store files on-line
  • Dropbox Business currently does not allow multiple team members to work on the same file simultaneously
  • Dropbox Business should let other team members know who has the file currently opened for editing
  • Dropbox Business web browser interface should allow for files or folders to be dragged & dropped from one location to another
Dropbox Business is well suited for situations where large group of files need to be transferred from one team member to many other team members. So it becomes a file repository for others to retrieve the files when they get around to it. Dropbox Business should not be used like a network drive since it does not do a good job locking files that have been opened by others. You can risk lost of data when multiple team members open the file for editing simultaneously.

Dropbox Business has been a life saver for my business, my clients snd my colleagues. We have locations all over North America and need to maintain consistency between them. Just this week I found one of my locations actually deleted a key file and either the ability to restore we did not miss a beat. This is a must for any business.
  • Maintains consistency with multiple locations
  • Files that may be accidental deleted can be restored
  • Easy to use
  • Easy to train all users
  • A note to user prior to deleting a file
It is best suited in an operation that is either in multiple location or even multiple offices in one location. For an individual user a professional version of the software could work just fine. Also use this over local storage. I have tons of local storage I don’t use any more since this works so great.

We use Dropbox Business for data rooms we set up for potential and existing clients. We chose DB for the unlimited space and the ability to collaborate and control what is shared. The platform is well-known and user-friendly which is important to our clients.
  • User-friendly platform is accessible to everyone, regardless of tech experience.
  • The ability to easily collaborate with a team.
  • Editing files in real-time within the app.
  • I wish the price for a business account was less expensive.
Dropbox has been extremely helpful when we need to share large amounts of confidential data with clients. People are familiar with the brand and find it efficient and easy to use. Unfortunately, we cannot store files permanently due to SEC compliance issues.

Whole organization - cloud based file sharing, no central servers in use
  • File syncing
  • File sharing outside of organization
  • LAN Based Synchronization for new copies
  • File history for admins for accidental deletes
  • Policy enforcement on internal team
  • provides a lot of space
  • Cost
  • Conflicted Copies
Easiest to use of the file collaboration bunch. However, has a reputation for not being as secure as box -- and as such many companies block access to Dropbox.

As an internal tool, its ease of use is King -- compare this to a sharefile or OneDrive/sharepoint experience & you'll immediately see the benefit.

The biggest selling point for Dropbox is -- do I want my users to work in the cloud in cloud apps, or do I want them to work locally. If in the cloud, there's better choices (despite Dropbox making good improvements here, they're still not the best -- box is, or google is for google apps customers) but if there's a need to have a localized sync (think autocad, other big files where you don't want them to be cloud based) Dropbox is the best hands down.

We primarily use it to swap video and image files between us and our clients for Amazon listings. It makes it super easy to share various documents across platforms and between different individuals and agencies. Especially when you are attempting to share larger files it is a great option to streamline that process.
  • Sharing large files between clients
  • Streamline the sharing process of assets
  • Makes integrating new clients information and assets seamless
  • Not as user friendly as google drive or other cloud based softwares
  • I wish that it was integrated into your browser like google drive but I am not sure if that is possible
  • I would say that it works great for what is advertised but there are better options out there in my opinion.
I think it works great for what it is designed to do. I personally prefer just sharing things via google drive links but I still utilize Dropbox all of the time in communication with my clients and sharing various documents and assets. As said before it works great, just not my preferred method.

We use it across the organization. It is a good backup with history support and helps me easily share content with different team members in my organization and/or clients.
  • It has top-notch security, which is highly appreciated by my clients.
  • The history feature saved us numerous amounts of time from re-doing work.
  • Ability to track who made changes to a document, and comment on it helped us with keeping content organized and avoiding conflicts.
  • Recently we started integrating Dropbox into other product management and communication tools such as Slack and Monday. Works really good.
  • Once we had a major problem where one of the employee accidentally deleted lots of data and had to restore. It appears that this mechanism work much less effective than restoring a group of files. Eventually it took Dropbox about 2 months with resolving the issue, and us additional 2 weeks of cleanup afterwards.
  • Dropbox is getting very expensive and there are today some alternatives that have better price to value ratio.
It is very good for small organizations or very large organizations. Everything in between may have problems with the sheer cost of maintaining the users' costs. Also, it is not recommended if your company has a huge amount of data as currently, Dropbox lowered the amount of storage they're offering for small businesses.

Dropbox Business allows us to share files with each other, customers, and vendors. This helps us because we work with many people that we can't just go see. So the ability to share drawings, files, pictures, and videos is essential to moving a project forward. Dropbox helps us do that and makes sure we can access the information anywhere we can get online.
  • The ability to share information.
  • You can invite others to your files.
  • You can keep the information separate and limit who gets access to what.
  • The interface has been a little clunky at times and any time it updates you may have to relearn how to use it.
Dropbox Business is great for getting larger files back and forth between people. We use it because we have a team on the road and they can share pictures to it with our team in the office. Also, customers or vendors have used Dropbox to share files with us as well. This is especially useful for sharing videos, which we need to see how machinery is functioning to understand if there are issues with it.

Dropbox Business is used by our Product and Design teams to showcase the work they're doing. It's a useful tool for sharing and previewing large files as well as collaborating once feedback is received.

We used to use Dropbox across the whole organisation but that changed due to overhead costs.
  • Great tool for previewing large files and sharing them quickly with people in and out of the organisation.
  • Good collaboration tools - it's simple to give feedback during revisions.
  • Nice UI and search function so it's easy to find files you're looking for.
  • Some PDF previews can be a bit wonky in terms of colour, but downloading the file and viewing it fixes that issue.
  • Overhead costs for larger organisations.
If you're looking for a reliable and safe place to store your files, Dropbox is definitely an option you should consider. It makes it simple to share and review different types of files and you can use it to streamline your whole revision process.

However, the overhead costs can be an issue if you want to use the tool across your growing company because most people simply need to have access and are not necessarily using the tool at all.

Due to our company growing, we switched to Google Drive which is free, however, the search function and folder structure are pretty messy! If cost were no object for the company, I'd choose Dropbox in a heartbeat (just like I do for my personal work).
