(1-25 of 70)Drop it like it's hot
- easy to use
- no longer need to email confidential docs instead they are shared in dropbox
- love the fact that it indicates that whenever I save a file it auto lets me know that I am saving in DB so I don't get confused
- DB really supports the new working environment where we can be working from anywhere in the world!!
- perhaps ability to see who last modified a file
Dropbox, Business' New Paradox
- Capture activity reports of license users (all activity across Dropbox, shared data in and out of Dropbox).
- Reports of data files shared with nonlicensed or out of the firm individuals.
- Data encryption, security protocols for the business, BRAVO! Job Well Done!
- Permits secure partnership across its platforms with additional software gurus such as Adobe, Microsoft. As a Beta Tester and ProDeveloper for MS, Adobe, and Host-Server on GoDaddy this ability is phenomenal which makes my job as a developer using various platforms wordpress, webbuilder, WIX, etc much more user-friendly when pulling down files.
- Removing and adding new licenses.
- Scanning lost or recovering data, cleaning data.
- Oh my, Dropbox Business is and must be the most user-friendly cloud based option for uploading, downloading and moving multiple small, medium, and even large files internally and even externally!
- No matter what file format... Dropbox Business will communicate to you what you need! Communication is key with any software! Love at first site! Dropbox Business, you had me at "Happy Dropboxing!"
- For Businesses who create their own contracts with their legal firms, provide more user-friendly instructions how to use Dropbox "Link" system to be able to embed these onto the end users website if there is desired destination such as ours, whereas the aforementioned we would be able to then form a submit button and provide a payment button. If they do not pay then it will not submit. Providing these types of instructions with the add-ons of new service plans would only increase revenue for Dropbox and potentially a new revenue stream. Maybe even offer tutorials for redevelopers who desire to learn this aspect of DropBox. Why not? Again it added revenue, what company is not always seeking ways to build into its business plan new revenue streams.
- New ways to suspend users without being charged for things like if the employee has been suspended without pay etc... things like this are a positive for the small business sector.
- Offer annual contracts, however they can pay monthly with small interest connect with Adobe Admin to see how they do it. I believe they offer that type of program. Penalty applies if they cancel before the year is up.
- Offer referral programs to long term clients... Bring Dropbox Business a new client who signs a year contract even if they pay monthly receive 25% of your annual contract even if you pay monthly.
Just not as good as Google Drive but it's ok
- Layout.
- Simple filing system.
- Color scheme.
- Easy.
- Compatibility.
- Sharing.
- Less features that I like than Google Drive.
- Provide access for external consultants to information without needing to provide access to our secure corporate network.
- Organize by teams and projects.
- Straightforward process for adding and removing team members and access.
- More helpful training information for users.
- More helpful training information for Administrators.
Dropbox Business Meets Our Needs Very Well!
- It enables us to share documents and workflow to all employees for whom access is allowed regardless of where in the world they may be located.
- Dropbox Business provides a means to safely store our documents without having to have physical copies.
- Dropbox also allows for easy organization of our documents in folders and such in the system.
- I don't personally have any thing which I think Dropbox Business could improve upon. I am happy overall.
All the features you need.
- Backup of important files away from the local network.
- Organization.
- File sharing with unlimited individuals and file size.
- Not the biggest fan of the user interface.
- Sometimes it randomly un-syncs, if that's even a word.
- It has a very intuitive user interface so navigation becomes very easy.
- I can quickly share files to people.
- Its security is marvelous, that is very impressive.
- It is a bit expensive. The price should be lower.
- Locating files is difficult. Sometimes it is extremely difficult to find important files.
- I like that I know where items will be when I download them. With other services, sometimes I don't know where the downloads go.
- I like the option to be able to have everything online only in case I need to save room on my laptop.
- I like the option to have real-time syncing between my desktop and the folders in Dropbox.
- I deeply dislike the navigation. I find it very clunky and hard and not intuitive. A few years ago Dropbox redesigned its navigation and I'm frequently at a loss to figure out where to access the option I need.
- It should be quicker and easier to figure out how to send a file. I wish I could do that from the drop-down menu in my taskbar under the Dropbox logo.
- I wish I had the option under the same drop-down menu in my taskbar under the Dropbox logo to go to where the files are on my laptop, which I find much easier to navigate.
DropBox Business - A Great Sharing Solution
- Sharing
- Storage
- Syncing to PC
- Pricing structure
- Maybe add Active Directory (AD) integration
It's probably less appropriate for a very small business that doesn't need to incur additional costs.
- Collaborating tools makes it easy for working on projects with team members remotely.
- 5 TB of storage offers quite a bit of space to utilize.
- Having a team management feature offers user friendly and efficient working space.
- Allowing more than one admin would be great.
Dropbox - it's an investment that's worth it
- Sharing files
- Saving older versions of each file
- Sharing files with external users by link
- Sharing files with people outside your organization can be troublesome for external users, many report difficulties accessing the files
- The Paper app is a great idea but very poor in features, making it useless
- Changing the place you store your data locally could be difficult and lengthy
- Ease of use - Dropbox provides a simple interface that most team members and clients are already familiar with.
- The ability to have Dropbox folders accessible from Finder makes it seem like your cloud storage is local but you don’t take up space on your hard drive.
- Dropbox makes it easy to share files with anyone.
- Initial setup of the Dropbox app has been tricky for some of our less tech-savvy team members.
- It’d be great to have the ability to create a custom link for assets/folders instead of just having the randomly generated url.
Saves time and easy to use
- organizes files by folders
- easy to access
- saves disk space
- search functions
- report building
Great for collaborating with contractors!
- Easy, intuitive interface.
- Sync with desktop.
- Push-button sharing.
- I’d like to customize the sharing settings more easily.
- More storage space is always a need.
- More perks for long-standing customers.
Dropbox Business is a go-to for file sharing
- store large amount files, photos, videos in organized way
- easily share files among colleagues, vendors
- easy to navigate the platform
- access files quickly , filter by searching
- unable to tag files, photos , could be better way to organize photos
- synchronizing is a little slow
- large files take long to load
- mobile version could be more user friendly
You can always depend on Dropbox Business
- Dropbox Business makes it very simple to backup files on-line
- Dropbox Business allows team members to access files on-line as if they're working locally
- Dropbox Business provides a secure location to store files on-line
- Dropbox Business currently does not allow multiple team members to work on the same file simultaneously
- Dropbox Business should let other team members know who has the file currently opened for editing
- Dropbox Business web browser interface should allow for files or folders to be dragged & dropped from one location to another
Dropbox with a Mike drop
- Maintains consistency with multiple locations
- Files that may be accidental deleted can be restored
- Easy to use
- Easy to train all users
- A note to user prior to deleting a file
Great time saver!
- Great for storing documents
- Great for being able to collaborate on file
- would be nice if multiple users could modify documents at the same time and see modifications by others
Share and collaborate with unlimited space.
- User-friendly platform is accessible to everyone, regardless of tech experience.
- The ability to easily collaborate with a team.
- Editing files in real-time within the app.
- I wish the price for a business account was less expensive.
- File syncing
- File sharing outside of organization
- LAN Based Synchronization for new copies
- File history for admins for accidental deletes
- Policy enforcement on internal team
- provides a lot of space
- Cost
- Conflicted Copies
As an internal tool, its ease of use is King -- compare this to a sharefile or OneDrive/sharepoint experience & you'll immediately see the benefit.
The biggest selling point for Dropbox is -- do I want my users to work in the cloud in cloud apps, or do I want them to work locally. If in the cloud, there's better choices (despite Dropbox making good improvements here, they're still not the best -- box is, or google is for google apps customers) but if there's a need to have a localized sync (think autocad, other big files where you don't want them to be cloud based) Dropbox is the best hands down.
Dropbox Review
- Sharing large files between clients
- Streamline the sharing process of assets
- Makes integrating new clients information and assets seamless
- Not as user friendly as google drive or other cloud based softwares
- I wish that it was integrated into your browser like google drive but I am not sure if that is possible
- I would say that it works great for what is advertised but there are better options out there in my opinion.
Boxing Dropbox
- It has top-notch security, which is highly appreciated by my clients.
- The history feature saved us numerous amounts of time from re-doing work.
- Ability to track who made changes to a document, and comment on it helped us with keeping content organized and avoiding conflicts.
- Recently we started integrating Dropbox into other product management and communication tools such as Slack and Monday. Works really good.
- Once we had a major problem where one of the employee accidentally deleted lots of data and had to restore. It appears that this mechanism work much less effective than restoring a group of files. Eventually it took Dropbox about 2 months with resolving the issue, and us additional 2 weeks of cleanup afterwards.
- Dropbox is getting very expensive and there are today some alternatives that have better price to value ratio.
Love Dropbox Business!
- Cloud storage of files
- Simple interface for sharing files
- Incredibly easy file sync across multiple devices
- Large storage and larger upgrades available!
- Great integration options with tools we use
- Price for business plans
Drop your files in Dropbox Business
- The ability to share information.
- You can invite others to your files.
- You can keep the information separate and limit who gets access to what.
- The interface has been a little clunky at times and any time it updates you may have to relearn how to use it.
We used to use Dropbox across the whole organisation but that changed due to overhead costs.
- Great tool for previewing large files and sharing them quickly with people in and out of the organisation.
- Good collaboration tools - it's simple to give feedback during revisions.
- Nice UI and search function so it's easy to find files you're looking for.
- Some PDF previews can be a bit wonky in terms of colour, but downloading the file and viewing it fixes that issue.
- Overhead costs for larger organisations.
However, the overhead costs can be an issue if you want to use the tool across your growing company because most people simply need to have access and are not necessarily using the tool at all.
Due to our company growing, we switched to Google Drive which is free, however, the search function and folder structure are pretty messy! If cost were no object for the company, I'd choose Dropbox in a heartbeat (just like I do for my personal work).
