Ridder IQ is the ERP system we use. However, we miss the planning tool MRP functionality and the CRM part. ERP is the heart of the organization, and we look into further use and function of Ridder.
  • Creation of relations.
  • Creation of articles.
  • Creation of quotations.
  • Creation of order confirmations.
  • MRP functionality.
  • Finance
  • CRM
Articles, sales quotations, and orders are very well organized. The easy planning and CRM are not updated. We are active in the "make" industry, and MRP is key to our success, but this part is not well implemented.

We use Ridder iQ to manage our projects. We manage our stock items, make purchases, send sales invoices, and register our employee's project times.
  • Register project time.
  • Creating purchase orders.
  • Make project calculations.
  • A good project planning tool.
Ridder iQ is a well suited program to manage the financial side of your projects. Making the actual calculations is easy, as well as monitoring your budgets. Once you understand the logic behind the software, it is fairly easy to use.The part where Ridder iQ can improve is creating an easy-to-use employee planning because the current tool is too difficult and lacks certain functions (changing planning is time-consuming because you have to change a lot of lines manually).

We use Ridder in sales and production for two of our four companies. Ridder manages offers, orders, shop floor control, production, and invoicing. I am pretty happy with our freedom in Ridder, mostly in layouts and calculated columns.
  • Quotations
  • Orders and shop floor control.
  • Invoicing
  • Item management and storage management.
  • BI and analysis of processes. The 'Home' tab is a nice start but is too limited. The built-in BI tool "Analytics" is too complex and needs an additional subscription.
  • (Financial) closing of orders.
  • Price management of items.
Ridder iQ is well suited for production plants that are order-based, like a machine shop. We also use Ridder for the reselling business. However, it is less appropriate for groundworks and road transport (with personnel and equipment planning). We need different software here.

We use Ridder iQ for a lot of processes in our organization. We make offers, projects and orders in it. We do this for multiple operating companies in seperate databases and use the multi company functionality from iQ. We process invoices and declarations with ImageCapture what is connected to Ridder iQ. All kind of documents are related to iQ.
  • You can easily make yourself calculated columns
  • You can easily make yourself new tables and fields
  • You can easily make yourself adapted screens, widgets, etc.
  • You can easily make yourself email templates
  • You can easily make yourself scheduled tasks
  • Tables and fields have clear names what is very handy to work with
  • Ridder iQ misses graphical workflow and blocks designer
  • Adaptions to rights in iQ can be difficult and time consuming
  • Ridder iQ is unfortunately still not webbased
  • Ridder iQ is fortunately developping api endpoints but this is still not completed.
  • The no/low code functionality can be extended
Ridder iQ is very good to use for normal processes in the making industry. You can easily customize it with calculated and custom fields and widgets.
But more extensive customizing is more difficult. You need to be able to programm and the integration of other software/webapps is difficult. Therefore the no/low code functionality and api endpoints of Ridder iQ should be extended. Ridder iQ is unfortunately not to use on a smartphone of something like that.

I'm the administrator user of Ridder IQ and we use Ridder IQ for our complete business
  • Flexibel software
  • Account manager
  • Trouble shooting/call center is worthless. In the past we had a question and this will be solved. Now we have a question and we are called back a couple of days later and very often they can solve it but are not allowed to solve it and you need to pay for a consultant
  • Pricing is very high, for every stupid things we need to pay the top price
  • Information is not always good. We bought a new system and wanted to install this (Kronos). Asked several times to have some information about the installation. I received nothing and the asnwer was that we needed a consultant (read we need to pay). At the end I solved it by myself and that was rather easy.
In basic is the software good.

But the aftercare is not good anymore (see previous) and everything is about earning money and not keeping the customer satisfied.

Ridder iQ is the core of our company processes. All of our data to design produce and buy equipment is stored in it. We use Ridder iQ to store our items, as well as prices, BOM's etc. It takes care of the communcation between the engineering and purchase department. It also functions as a system to plan our joborders in our production facility.
  • Good import functionability
  • Great added value in the customizability of the product
  • Easy to maintain and to adjust at your own processes
  • Consultants bring a lot of added value
  • Good support
  • Purchase contract does not function well
  • Projectplanning is not flexible enough for us as a project organization with complex planningschedules
  • Hour registration app and portal are bad and not customizable
For any company who makes and machines our develops procesess our who is an system integrator, Ridder iQ is really wel suited. When the company is not working in the make industry, for example a company who only buys and sells goods, Ridder iQ is not suited. I think for an company who wants a great ERP systems which enables your company to grow, you need Ridder iQ.

We use Ridder iQ for making quotations, calculations and work orders. Ridder works nice and easy for this. We make machines in small series, most even are one-offs. We have all our components (article numbers) in Ridder iQ, all components have standard times (the time it takes to place, mount etc. the component) and prices. The standard times are timed regularly, to check if these still apply and for new products. We use the standard times that are assigned to the articles for making realistic planning. Ridder iQ is also used for determining the cost price, therefore we use the cost prices of the components used and man hours. These are increased by a surcharge. After that, the quotation is sent to our customer, this is also done in Ridder iQ. This goes easy, you just select the right part list and type in your profit margin. The outcome is a quotation in your own corporate identity.
  • calculations
  • quotations
  • order confirmations
  • The memo function
  • updating prices
  • Speed of support
Ridder iQ works great for making calculations and workorders. The memo part for quotations could be improved. For example the tab key does not work.

We use Ridder iQ as an erp system where we use it for steering our production on with the right documents and order of operations. Furthermore are sales also done to customers and financially its combined with Exact. We also use it as quality system and make 4D reports about failures we come across production.
  • Assembly revisioning
  • Tree structure of assemblies
  • Open structure so that 3rd party can work with it aswell
  • Revisioning of artikels
  • Internal orders with multicompany can only be of 1 type.
Ridder iQ is good suited where you use machines that dont take days or weeks to operate. Since the planning in Ridder iQ is not that sophisticated it can give you troubles if there are delays and you have to replan any order. Planning is one area where there can be made improvements.

We use Ridder iQ throughout the organization. It starts at sales, wehere offers are put in Ridder and ends when invoices for projects are sent to the customer. Our CRM is external, however our sales from stock team does offers from Ridder iQ. Our projects - which range from as little as 1000 euros, to a few million, are all registered within Ridder iQ. This includes hours from our employees, external purchases and stock-management.
  • Flexibility in setting budgets for specific parts of a project
  • Insight in costs (journaldetails)(bookkeeping, however not RIdder financials)
  • Sending out offers and order confirmation
  • sending out purchase orders
  • filling out hours. every hour that has been put in, has to be approved by a manager end of week. We made up a way, how to check these hours. There is room for improvement.
  • Budgetdetails left to go broken up in multiple parts, but all costs going to the right budget. An option for aloowing budgets to overflow.
  • flexibility regarding the creation of widgets (symbols, colors and such)
  • PDA logistics does not run a local environment of Ridder.
  • Most important. Stockkeeping and anaylises are not available in Ridder
  • Planning for employees and projects.
What Ridder iQ does, it does particularly well. However, bookkeeping the work in progress, will empty out the whole project and it will not take proggression based revenue. But overall, I'm very pleased with the basic concept of Ridder iQ. Regarding the workflow of sales to engineering, to production engineering and procurement.

We continue to develop and see that Ridder IQ helps us in several areas to improve processes within the companyWe use Ridder IQ for our entire work process, from entering the order, creating an internal receipt, with various raw materials, to the production process, planning and ultimately invoicing. We have now been able to develop several reports to automate more and more.
  • Report design
  • Internal receipts with various raw materials
  • planning
  • Report building remains difficult
  • division of roles and rights development
  • goods movement
for our fairly complicated company, in which we deal with articles, parts lists and various raw materials, which together form a mixture, must be linked to a production order and also have to deal with hazardous substances, regulations and safety, that all this is possible is in Knight IQ. Also for our export department and all the reports we need.

Ridder iQ is used throughout the organization. The order is managed throughout the entire process by Ridder iQ. From the quotation process, to production, inventory and finance. The finance department takes care of booking purchase invoices, sending sales invoices and a correct connection to our financial package. In addition, pre- and post-calculations are performed on completed projects.
  • Link between SolidWorks / ScanSys and Ridder iQ on the one hand and Ridder iQ and AccountView on the other.
  • Options to enhance insight by using company-based layouts and widgets.
  • Capabilities of barcode and service tablets reducing manual work.
  • Taskmanagement
Ridder iQ is ideal in the manufacturing industry. Inventory management, work in process and purchasing is good organised.
For an hours-only we see less appropriate solutions as scheduling and using tablets for service, we do expect limitations.
In addition, it takes a lot of energy to set up a good post calculation structure.

We use Ridder iQ to manage our inventory, create purchase orders, offers, sales orders and invoices. We just started using the time registration and are constantly improving the things we use. We recently started with the service module as well.
  • High level of customasation
  • Interactive dashboard
  • Keep track of purchase orders
  • It is quite slow, every new menu takes about 2-3 seconds to load
  • I would like to send payment reminders via Ridder iQ
  • It can be very complicated to change things
  • The manual is very very long and the search options are limited
Ridder iQ is highly customisable so it can be suited for all types of employees. It can be rigid in the way to use it. That can scare off some employees that are not working with Ridder iQ for multiple hours.

We are in implementation phase with Ridder iQ. The scope is to get a more robust ERP system for our projects, planning and financials. Our 7 different companies all have their own special demands. Our businesses vary from consultancy to production of ground energy systrems and esco's. On top of that we have a financial holding company. FOr all companies we need good registration and information systems and we believe Ridder iQ can provide us with that
  • inventory management
  • project management
  • sales info
  • integration of financials with ridder iQ
  • detailed planning of equipment
  • standard connections to external software like HR and CRM

Ridder iQ is our main ERP. Used for Sales, Production, Warehousing and Purchasing. It is also the main source of data for management reporting. Sales will be moved to Salesforce later this year.
  • Production Planning
  • Purchasing / Need fullfillment
  • Project Management
  • Stock Management --> Analysis + Cycle count functionality
  • CPQ
  • Approval Flows
Ridder iQ is suited for small and medium sizes companies. For these companies Ridder iQ is very versatile. So I would recommend to determine a tight process and use not all the functionality. For example: I would make a choice to sell items or to sell assemblies but not both.

In the first place we use Ridder iQ as an ERP system. Secondly we document all installed-bases of the systems we sell to our customers.
  • Possibilities in building custom filters
  • Creating custom layouts
  • Ability to build a more detailled installed-base
  • Ability to print all barcodes related to a production order in one overview.
+ In cases one wants to build a structured database of articles and assemblies, there are sufficient fields as standard, as well as the possibility to have custom fields added. - The adding of fields has to be carried out by a consultant, so there is some planning ahead involved, as well as extra costs

We use Ridder iQ for purchasing, project cost calculation, hours registration, invoicing and sales. The biggest advantage of using Ridder is the fact that all departments within our company use the same data source, and all changes or updates are done in real-time. We use Ridder on a company wide scale in almost every department
  • Items and stock management
  • Sales order overview
  • Purchasing
  • User interface
  • Flexibility in workflows
  • Better user manual
Ridder iQ is very well suited for companies in the sheet metal industry and machine building

We use Ridder iQ as the backbone of all our processes. It allows us to completely digitalize the organization
  • Configurate
  • Interconnection with other systems
  • Other Desktop per user/group
  • Planning is not clear, easy
Ridder iQ gives you enormous flexibility to build/configure what is important to you. The planning module is not clear enough, but it is solvable with a BI tool.

We use it to calculate prices for quotations. We also use it to create parts lists for production. Afterwards we use the program to make subsequent calculations of the order. We use the article file to keep prices up to date. Through a link with the supplier, prices are adjusted in the system when there is a price update. So that the correct price is always used. The hours of the staff are also booked here on the correct orders.
  • Calculate
  • Making offers
  • Registration of purchase orders
  • registration of employee hours
  • Some text boxes in quotations, order confirmations and purchase orders go directly to the next page, so the first page is empty.
For us, a sheet metal company, the program works well after a few adjustments. This has been adjusted by Ridder iQ at our request. In general, Ridder iQ works properly for us in every area.
