Elementor (the paid Pro version) is being used to create many of our site's pages. It is used by the web devs, graphic designer, and also by our content marketing team.
It allows us to easily create functional and aesthetically pleasing pages with a wide range of design elements available.
  • Easy to implement different sections of a page such as images, text blocks, forms etc.
  • There is a range of example pages available for you to change to suit your brand or to provide some inspiration
  • It is easy to add custom CSS (or similar)
  • You only get good support if you're using the pro version - I have used Elementor across two different sites and found support to be rude when only the free version is in use.
  • Some of their guides on their website seemed out dated as the steps differed slightly when following a guide
Despite not being 100% happy with their support, I still highly recommend Elementor as a product because it has so many options for site building. There are also enough guides online by other users to help you through most, if not all, problems you may run into.
It is very useful if you like the drag and drop style of website building but also want the freedom to use custom CSS etc

  • Fast process for building new pages
  • Ease of use for content team
For one website, yes. For another, no. Help when you have the paid pro version seems to be much better than when you are only using the free version. This is a shame as they likely turn [off] prospective paid customers as it seems like they don't care for your needs.
No
Unfortunately, no.
From experience with two sites using Elementor, they only care when you have the paid version

Elementor is a Wordpress page builder that allows me to create attractive, interactive and creative web pages on our WordPress website. As the website designer, I was looking for a cost-effective plugin that helped me to create various types of landing pages and even blog posts. I had been using the free version for 6 months and wanted more flexibility and power in customizing the pages to suit my visual branding so I invested in the pro plan.
  • You can create professional and creative web pages and it works with all the WordPress themes I've used.
  • Free plan with some useful features to get started with.
  • Easy to set up and get started with and if you get stuck provides useful video tutorials.
  • Has a great Facebook community that provides tips, advice, and support.
  • What Elementor could really improve on is being more flexible with the plan that only allows you to use on one website. I was moving my website and when I tried to upload my paid plugin to the new website as the old one was deleted it didn't allow me and stated I had to purchase a new pro plan. I was so frustrated as I still had 5 months left on the old plan. So, more flexibility and understanding of plans is needed.
  • Needs to improve the number of glitches and Elementor not being available as that can be very frustrating when you plan to be making edits on your web pages.
  • Better integration with other plugins. The discovered some of the issues I had faced with Elementor was because it wasn't compatible or conflicted with themes and other plugins.
If a colleague or family or friend was looking for an easy to use website page builder I would definitely recommend that they try out Elementor. I wouldn't straight off the bat recommend buying the pro plan and instead get them to test it out and see if they can create the types of pages they have in mind to see if achievable as there might be a better alternative for them.

  • Positive: Provides a free plan for those not ready to invest.
  • Postive: The paid plans are cost-effective and worth it.
  • Negative: Unable to use the paid plugin on another website if you're moving your site to a new host due to the licensing restrictions. Resulting in having to pay for another plugin.
I started out using Elementor first and invested in the paid plan and then when I needed to move my website to a new host I was unable to use my previous paid plugin so I decided to try out Brizy. After being stung but Elementor I decided to not invest in Brizy and use their free plugin instead.
I found that Brizy was much easier to use, provided a lot more themes, functionalities and looked more professional and that's just with the free version. Elementor needs to have competition and definitely needs to improve what it offers.

I had been using Elementor for 6 months and needed more features and ways to customize it to suit my business needs and had a look at the pro features and realized investing in the plan was the only way I could create the webpages I needed. The pro plan was a reasonable price and on top of that, I liked that it came with 12 months support.
If I had to do it again, I would have tested out Elementor for much longer and tried out alternatives. Since I had been using Elementor and most of my webpages were Elementor based I didn't want to try something that may have been totally different. I also would have made sure to only invest in the yearly pro plan once I knew which web hosting provider I wanted to commit to for the next 12 months.
There support is slow and at times can be frustrating and this is why many prefer to air out their frustrations within the Facebook group community. I tend to give up as when I'm working on something and something goes wrong I need the help straight away. I do not have the patience to wait anymore.

  • Drag and drop.
  • Uploading images and embedding HTML.
  • Adding bulk text.
  • Making the pages mobile responsive.
  • Resizing the videos.
  • Creating integrated landing pages with an email service provider.
Elementor is one of those website builders that is really easy to get started with. The drag and drop features make it easy to create attractive and creative webpages for even the non-website designer. Some of the features available are not easy to find or easy to discover when you first start using Elementor. Practice makes perfect.
