The product makes organization of the large numbers of scientific citations easier and saves us time and labor in fixing citations every time we edit a manuscript draft. EndNote is part of our package of software that is used throughout the entire organization. This is used by all of our faculty to address multiple issues when it comes to creating and managing data libraries as well as references. This is also used by those performing large research projects within multiple departments.

There have been issues with databases after upgrades but this seems fixed in newer versions.
Corrupt libraries after Word upgrade. Again, seems fixed in new versions

The choice of this kind of software relies on the preference of the end-user. I started using EndNote because my supervisor was using it and said that quite a few people in our field are using it. I purchased through the department's computer administration team and have been using it for many years. I've found EndNote to be very convenient.

It is very convienient tool to compile and manage enormous bibliographic data for my personal use as well as academic purposes. The add-on tools integrated in EndNote are very convienient and easy to use.
