As a service provider, we use ESET products to protect our customers infrastructure (Servers, endpoints, mailservers). We use all features available (including firewall, webcontrol, ..) to fully protect all devices. EDR is implemented at some customers and MDR is currently investigated because some of our customers need a SOC but are too small for many SOC providers
  • No impact on performance
  • Detections in the top tier level
  • Many protection features (firewall, web control, patch management, ..)
  • Evolution of the product almost always in the right direction (improvements)
  • Reporting complicated and lacking agility
  • Some features only available in Protect Cloud (Patch & Vulnerability)
Protecting the whole network from large scale attacks with an all in one solution that performs well !

As an IT Administrator, I use ESET PROTECT to control endpoint security settings and to serve as a central management portal for the company's security infrastructure. Setting up firewall settings, antispyware software, and other security measures falls under this category. Real-time endpoint monitoring for potential security threats is provided by ESET PROTECT. Our system was giving me difficulties integrating it with other tools due to a threat. Fortunately ESET PROTECT finds the danger and lets me quarantine the impacted endpoints to resolve the issue. Additionally, ESET PROTECT provides reporting tools that allows me generate and analyze reports on security events, compliance status and overall system health. This information helps in making informed decisions and improving our security posture in the system.
  • Efficient Identification and Mitigation of Threats
  • Patch Management and Auto Updates
  • Quarantine and Remediation
  • Reporting and Analytics
  • Integration with third-party tools
  • Advanced threat hunting features
  • Mobile device management
Comprehensive threat prevention against a variety of threats, such as viruses, ransomware, and spyware is effectively provided by ESET PROTECT. The cross platform compatibility of this software is advantageous for business with diverse IT environments such as those combination of Windows, macOS, and Linux systems. Some industries, such highly regulated sectors with specific compliance needs, may find it more cost-effective, however it is less suitable for small enterprises with limited IT resources and for organizations with severe budgetary limits.

ESET Protect is on all of our endpoints from servers to workstations. We wanted to make sure that we had a trusted and reliable AV product protecting our companies infrastructure. We have used ESET PROTECT for years and (knock on wood) has not let us down yet, despite end users best attempts at running everything they can find on the internet. We find ESET PROTECT to be a fantastic product over all for the price, great features and great protection you can count on.
  • Solid protection for endpoints
  • Relatively lightweight scanning engine
  • Frequent definition updates
  • Powerful configuration and control interface
  • Agent installation is as easy as can be
  • The agent installer can also be setup to remove other antivirus software as it installs
  • The configuration control panel almost has too many options available for you to set in my opinion.
  • In my opinion, the firewall product is a bit on the aggressive side, sometimes blocking apps you want to have access to. And in my experience, it can be hard to figure out why it is being blocked.
  • In my opinion, it can be hard to figure out what policy is taking preference for a troublesome setting.
ESET PROTECT has always been able to catch infections before they started or at least before they spread. The frequent and reliable definition updates are always there to keep you covered. The product is very hands off once you get it dialed in (which can take some time for your org). When it does have an issue (which is rare), it is fairly easy to get it repaired and working again with the tools that ESET PROTECT provides.

ESET is one of the best antivirus on the market and helps block some sites on the web, so it can be beneficial for all companies if they don't want their employees to use other entertainment sites. It also protects the system from all ransomware and viruses.
  • It monitors websites, email and of course file access and has worked extremely well so far!
  • Knowing that I can manage everything from one easy-to-understand dashboard also gives me peace of mind.
  • From my point of view it is a great tool that does not need to be improved so I am happy with it.
The simple and solid installation and the general administration that is in it. ESET Protect Advanced gives us high precision in threat detection, effectively detecting and quarantining any malware that may emerge.

ESET PROTECT has a very clean environment that allows for smooth and informed use of the web console. I love the Use of Groups & individuals for any investigations I may want to do, the control I have over organization policies or OS-based policies makes on Boarding a breeze. I highly recommend ESET PROTECT.
  • Boot Encryption
  • Anit-Virus
  • Firewall
  • Real-time file scanning
  • ESET Decrypt tool
  • Linux Policies
  • Mac controls
The Pre-Boot encryption is perfect for lost/stolen or worst-case scenario off-boarding. The WebConsole makes adding, managing, and removing users a complete breeze whether I am at my desk or on the road. Implementing or changing policies across organizations, OS or Device specific is a wonderful use of management. Compared to other Web-based consoles I have used ESET PROTECT has the most Configurable Dashboards.

We have had a massive influx of phishing emails and we also need to comply with certain cyber security policies. ESET PROTECT does not use a lot of resources so it does not bog down our laptops when scanning for malicious emails. We block all usb ports so no missing flash drives with customers information on. ESET PROTECT has been very successful in blocking malicious emails.
  • Low resource usage
  • Proactive scanning on all files and emails
  • Easy manageable firewall
  • Message pop for certain warnings could stop at variable setting instead of flooding you notifications
  • Dashboard for scanning could be better giving time to complete
  • Integrate better with internet browsers - quick option to go secure browsing.
ESET PROTECT is well suited in home and SMME environments it a non fuss product which works well with out slowing down your computer. SMME needs a product that allows them to control their computers and be protected all the time It is less appropriate for very large corporates which has multiple rule requirements and needs to fine tuned more frequently.

We started using eSet for our 100 machines after having years of frustration with another antivirus product. We are a virtual server proponent, so we installed their pre-built Linux-based appliance and in about 30 minutes, we had a fully functioning server. An hour later, we were packaging installation bundles and silently installing on our workstations. Not all machines took the server-based install, so we had to install some manually with the generated installation packages. The install packs are nice because they did contain all of our licensing information and was basically a one touch installation and it did the rest of the work.
  • Detection of threats
  • Prevention of malware, ransomware, and viruses
  • Reporting of infections or other issues
  • Installation - Would like to see every machine get installation from server without individual touch by staff
  • Uninstallation of other AV software as part of install
  • Could use update servers in the US. We had firewall issues due to a geographical filter block and had to figure out how to let our systems access their server through that wall.
Quite honestly, I can't say enough about their protection. When another office in our area was hit by a ransomware attack that took them down for weeks, one of those emails that caused it was caught and prevented from running when a user opened it. That event was worth every single penny we spent on the system. If anyone asks me, I will certainly recommend this.

ESET is the only antivirus product we use. We have a single management console we can use to monitor and manage all our clients from. ESET protect does not slow our clients down, but it does protect them from ransomeware, malware, virus, malicious websites and more. Very impressed with ESET, long may it reign.
  • Central Management and Monitoring
  • web protection
  • antivirus protection
  • device protection (USB disabling)
  • Automatic updates via the management console
  • Better logging, easier to use so we can easily remedy false positives
  • Free cloud management console (we currently host our own)
ESET protect is perfect for small business, since it is very cost effective, a lightweight application, and very easy to deploy.
You may want to add additional ESET products (of which there are too many in my opinion, just give us everything in one!) for more sensitive clients, such as solicitors etc, to add network intrustion prevention.

Some of our staff use Linux for the workstation, and we have purchased a license for that.
  • Quite easy to set up, instructions were very clear.
  • Works even after factory resetting the machine. Some antivirus software wouldn't activate once the factory reset.
  • Does not hog up memory or resources.
  • License bondage is a hassle, you need to get the product key from some username and password first. But once bound, it is seamless.
  • Sometimes it is blocking some connections that were legitimate. I had to add to exclusions.
Well, it's really just an antivirus. Usually, there is not much interaction with the software unless there is a threat. It does bring up some threats related to insecure connections, or malicious connections, which is really all I needed.

Eset NOD32 Antivirus Business Edition is included in the company's 200 computers, but I never got infected with a virus. The famous Emotet Trojan virus, which has become popular recently, is also detected when receiving an email. In short, in our company, employees like the lightness, managers like the high detection, and accounting like the cost.
  • First of all, it is very light.
  • High detection despite the fact that it is lightweight.
  • The management screen that comes standard with the licensed version is easy to view and manage.
  • If the system administrator has functions such as pop-up notification and alert mail transmission, I believe that countermeasures can be taken faster
  • It often gets in the way of the network system.
  • Communication between PCs under the same network may be hindered, which may be an obstacle to verification.
It has almost no effect on PC operation and can be used as usual. The security detection can be programmed according to the usage time, so it can be configured. The low price is easy to introduce. Then, if the number of additional licenses increases, it will be discounted, so it is suitable for the corporate introduction. Regular updates are available, so you can rest assured.

We use Eset Endpoint Antivirus as our antivirus application on all of our servers and all our desktops. It helps a ton with filtering out junk emails. It also helps to block un-authorized websites from accessing data on the machine the user is working on. I will from time to time use it to scan files or folders on flash drives to ensure we don't release something into the network we don't want.
  • Stops junk email from ever getting to your inbox.
  • Scans files and folders for virus'
  • Runs quietly in the background using little computer resources.
  • Adding Malware protection would be nice.
  • Adding more mobile protection against malware and virus'
This is a great product that does what it says it is supposed to do. It runs on very few resources on your system to allow you to continue to do what you need to without having the system bogged down because of it.
It is also great at filtering out junk emails. As well as blocking websites that are un-authorized.

We use Eset Endpoint Antivirus to protect both our desktops and servers across all of the City. We also use Eset [Endpoint Antivirus] for email protection. Eset [Endpoint Antivirus] is very good at protecting users against popup sites. It also addresses the issue of unwanted attachments in emails.
  • Email attachment verification
  • File download scanning
  • Website protection
  • The management console is cumbersome.
  • Removing Eset [Endpoint Antivirus] from a PC or server is almost impossible.
Eset [Endpoint Antivirus] is good at protecting our environment and what I like most is it does not consume resources on desktops or servers like Mcaffee or Norton.

Eset Endpoint Antivirus is currently deployed across our entire organization. We have had next to no successful malware or ransomware attacks over the past five years we have utilized this product/platform. It has protected all of our endpoints during that time and has performed much better than the prior products we used in the previous decade.
  • Protects in real-time from malware attacks
  • Lightweight footprint that does not slow down our endpoints
  • updates easily and quietly in the background
  • The administration portion of the UI could use tweaking
  • I'd like to see more improvement on the reporting side
  • The ability to interact with the quarantine on endpoints more easily
I have only used Eset Endpoint Antivirus in our current environment, which is considered a medium-sized environment, so I can't speak to it's approach in a small or large environment. However for us it was relatively easy to push out and install, easy to work within the console, scaled out with us as we have added endpoints also. With the broad spectrum of threats that currently exist, it's been impressive to see Eset catch the amount of threats it has in our environment.

We are using Eset Endpoint Antivirus at the institutional level, both on desktops and laptops to ensure that our computers have the maximum possible protection even when they are outside our facilities. Every year, due to the legal regulation of our country, a new tender must be made in which several offers are evaluated. But we have several years that the Eset Endpoint Antivirus offer is the one that offers the best benefits and is the one chosen.
  • Updates available very quickly
  • Alerts and scanning of external devices (flash memories, external hard drives, etc.)
  • Warnings about potentially dangerous sites on the internet
  • Optimized computer resource consumption (RAM, CPU)
  • Notifications from the same dangerous site should be grouped
  • The option to perform actions automatically for certain types of events should be suggested and easily accessible
  • When analyzing a device, the task should go in the background and not occupy part of the screen unless you decide to consult the process or there is an alert
It is especially useful when field visits are made and it is required to copy files through unknown external devices, when downloading documents or certain files from external sources that could contain malicious code, and to be alert on the internet when visiting or being redirected to pages website with potentially harmful content.

One scenario where it could be a bit annoying is when developing specific in-house tools or programs that detect them as unknown or potentially dangerous programs

We use ESET Endpoint as the default antivirus solution at this organization as well as at the 7 other managed organizations that we are associated with. The intention behind its implementation is to mitigate viral threats as well as act as a more robust firewall for all endpoints.
  • Thorough reporting
  • Firewall management
  • Endpoint security
  • Regular client updates
  • There has been some functionality loss in the ESET Administrator Console since migrating from version 6 to its current version.
  • The firewall can often flag false positives.
The system runs well and the updates to the client are done regularly which is a must. I have supported ESET from a mid-level company of 200-300 endpoints to a larger university-style environment with over 5000 and it has done well in both. The centralized management console is a great point for any security admin to manage the clients, firewall rules, additional settings, and to see what issues might be occurring.

We have implemented Eset Endpoint Antivirus across our organization to provide endpoint protection. The solution does a great job of providing general antivirus and malware protection to end users with a minimal resource and budgeting footprint. Centralized management tools have played a big role in streamlining maintenance activities as well, making it easy to deploy and troubleshoot.
  • Resource utilization (minimal performance hit)
  • One of the industry's best protection rates
  • Competitively priced when compared with other offerings in its class
  • Detection rate, while one of the best, still lags behind some competitors
Eset Endpoint Antivirus is best suited for small to medium budget-centric environments, and those environments where the performance impact of endpoint protection are of critical concern.

For bulletproof applications that require top-notch enterprise support, uncompromising detection rates with little to no concern for performance impact, other offerings in its class may be better suited.

We have used Eset Endpoint Antivirus as our primary antivirus solution for a number of years. It has been effective in isolating and stopping these threats at our organization. It has generally been easy to deploy and keep up to date on all of the devices in our organization.
  • It is easy to deploy
  • It is simple to keep up to date
  • It is effective
  • They could provide better clarity on the licensing
  • They could simplify the licensing management

ESET Endpoint Security is used throughout the organization, on Windows servers and on desktops. Its main function is to centrally address threats and malware. In a single interface, I can manage the entire equipment park and define several business rules for each institution environment, such as access, release, installation and update application policies.
  • Security situation of servers and desktops
  • Easy targeting of security policies
  • Scheduling tasks and actions, such as server analysis, remote scanning, software installation, diagnostics and many others
  • Audit, automation, hardware inventory status reports
  • Tighter integration with other operating systems, such as debian and rhel-based distributions
  • Complex service deployment: need for multiple deployment servers to enable all their functionality, which leads to additional resource consumption
  • Upgrading to a new version is complex
In general, ESET Endpoint Security is suitable for any scenario, both large companies and micro companies, and even for home use. Its price is attractive and its use is relatively easy, not needing several operators to manage it. The only however is, as stated before, its use is primarily made for windows environment. This creates an obstacle for heterogeneous environments.

We are currently using it for our desktops, laptops and servers. Its set up to block and scan web and emails. Its set up with IDS and botnet protection.
It has good Log files and detects and catches mostly everything. Has a nice scheduler scanning feature. It also has an inspector tool you can use to scan a machine. It also has a malware cleaning tool. You can also submit samples for ESET to do analysis. Easy to quarantine and store files.
  • Quarantine the files safely.
  • Clean the files.
  • Allows you to schedule scanning.
  • Allows you to watch activity.
  • Add some of its feature to the front panel.
  • Instead of me having to dig for it.
  • Would like to see some more training on how to use every feature.
Its works on every PC and Macs with no issues. Easy to keep updated. Scans and gives you the option to clean, delete [or] quarantine files.
Easy to submit support request and knowledge-base is very helpful. Price is also very reasonable for all the features that are available.

The Program is self sufficient for updates on threats and has been a useful tool in combating ransomware from getting into our systems. We have been fortunate to have ESET in place for the last 10 years and the technical support is phenomenal when you have any issues. I am very pleased with this product and it's performance.
  • Blocking of Viruses
  • Blocking of ransomware
  • Self sustaining where updates of virus signature databases are concerned
  • I would like to see a better consumer interface, that does not confuse my personnel
It has been a good device for blocking viruses, case in point. At our school board, I had recommended that they take on ESET for their security. At the time the school board did not have a system in place to take care of their virus protection. As it happens a teacher downloaded a file to a thumb drive and when she put it into a computer on their system, it infected 10 schools on their network.

Eset Endpoint Antivirus gives the best assurance to all connected PCs and endpoint devices, ensures and plays out a profound output of PCs in risk, makes an ideal security shield for latest threats on the web, giving consistent cautions of perilous destinations that can influence the security of any organisation, makes an insurance shield type firewall for end-user devices. And this Antivirus solution is used across the whole organization.
  • Eset Endpoint Antivirus is a decent antivirus that expends scarcely any framework assets and is refreshed day by day.
  • Notwithstanding antivirus assurance, it has firewall security and makes warnings if the working framework should be updated to alleviate any weakness.
  • Performs sweeps to the gear and outside gadgets just by embedding them, for example, USB recollections, external hard drives, cell phones, and so on. It permits record insurance and device control.
  • It suddenly blocks useful web sites, so this application blocking must be improved.
  • It takes long time to update the threat database and it must be improved.
  • When this product is installed on older PCs, PC performance is affected. This must be optimised by the Eset development team.
Eset Endpoint Antivirus is most suitable in large scale organizations which have a large number of PCs that can be managed by a central antivirus server.

We use Eset Endpoint Antivirus to protect our computers, including laptops and servers, from the latest malware and security threats. It helps our organization to keep our devices safe from malware and prevent data breaches. We have been using ESET for many years and haven't faced any malware related problem for now.
  • Eset has a powerful ransomware protection mechanism.
  • Easy to install using all-in-one installer and easy to manage endpoints.
  • It also works in the background without any notifications and makes no trouble for my work.
  • Scanning time should be reduced.
  • Need more features like Vulnerability scan, Protected folders.
Since Eset Endpoint Antivirus is not a high resources user, it is suitable for low resources computers. Eset can protect us not only from viruses but also from other types of malware and ransomware. If we want to scan attachable storage quickly Eset is not suitable because the scanning time is higher than average.

With customization tools and features, it allows us to build the endpoint protection into our environment with ease. The overall reporting functions make it easier to monitor potential threats and keep our minds at ease. No Endpoint can protect you from everything but ESET makes us able to sleep better at night.
  • Set-up and deployment is easy in almost any environment.
  • The built-in tool to collect detailed information about systems is invaluable.
  • Some of the initial documentation could be better but this is being picky.
  • The detection engine is very advanced and I would like to see it continue this way.
ESET has excellent support features and the company overall is very willing to work with you to make things smooth for deployment. I am beyond happy with the number of features this product has. From an advanced detection engine to reporting and analysis tools, this product will make your IT life easier. The Malware SysRescue tool works exceptionally well in our environment.

ESET Endpoint Security is one of the most powerful tools that protect us from all kinds of viruses, malware, ransomware, rootkits, and worms. It is being used by our entire organization and we have found it a complete and powerful protection solution for our company. It is really fantastic.
  • Easy to use and a user-friendly tool.
  • Affordable product with quality results.
  • Advance quality features and functions.
  • Responsive customer support.
  • Remote management setup is a bit difficult.
  • Need to improve its interface.
If you ask about the main reasons for it being well suited, I would say it is one of the best products that provide secure and reliable services. Our organization wasn't secure until we started using this endpoint security program.

We use ESET Endpoint Anti Virus, and it is installed on every machine. Ease of use, setup, and administration are all a cake-walk.
  • Ease of install with a complete AIO package (agent and AV-sec installer).
  • It has caught more tracking cookies & possible viruses that most enterprise level AV suites on the market.
  • It's like a secondary firewall for PCs.
  • I would add more heuristic AV protection.
  • Keeping the software suite lets you not utilize as many resources as most of your competitors.
  • The ERAC (ESET Remote Access Console) could use a little make-over. I would change the font and color scheme to make it more readable.
All scenarios would deem it appropriate to use, except it doesn't install on servers. Another ESET File Security is server only. The resources footprint takes up less space than most competitors.
