Eventbrite is in our experience much easier to use and has more offerings for what you can do with it. In addition, many people have used Eventbrite in the past because of its popularity which makes it an overall easier experience for setting up an account and going through the process.

Eventbrite is very flexible and a great option for our smaller events and definitely our free events. Cvent however is the preferred tool for our larger events, that required custom apps, onsite badge printing, and many other conference features. The price Cvent charged and the value they delivered for these events were preferred. For smaller events that are free or inexpensive, Eventbrite is by far the preferred vendor.

Great for free events, but they hold funds for paid tickets
Eventbrite is excellent for free events and does a great job with virtual events. Eventbrite does not offer an alternative to merchant processing. Freshtix and Passage allow me to use our own merchant processing systems. With Eventbrite, you have to use their processor and they hold all money until two to three weeks after an event. We used to receive daily payouts.

Casual event planner--Eventbrite is awesome!
Both are wonderful tools. Eventbrite has more recognition among non-professional event planners. While the features stacked up nicely, it was the familiar navigation and UX that put Eventbrite over the edge.

Eventbrite delivers a great templated event experience that allows robust data and customization.
Splash is the closest equal competitor and has more beautiful design options but isn't as easy to use.

Meets all Political Event Needs
Facebook Events are a de facto must-have but the registration is not included beyond a simple 3-way indicator (Interested, Going, Not Going) which only supplements but so many of our supporters, attendees, staff, etc. object to Facebook for various reasons (data haul, at-scale harm to democracy, fomenting hate for ad revenue, etc.) thus we can't vote to pay it any money or even data so we won't even manually duplicate events there anymore.

Easy refunds helped a lot when COVID hit!
- Constant Contact, Zoom and Cvent Event Management
My "go to" for event registration has always been Constant Contact because they don't charge additional processing fees above the standard transaction. If it's a more basic event where I just need to capture name, email, and payment, I'll continue to use Constant Contact over Eventbrite. However, if it's more complex and requires marketing, I would choose Eventbrite.

Great tool for nonprofit events!
Eventbrite is really the best in the business for events! We do use other software for some of our events but in comparison, Eventbrite is the best and so many people are already familiar with it because of their brand recognition.

Eventbrite - for easy event registration, best in the business
We use Eventbrite for everyday activities because it is simply easier to set up an event and send the invitation to a group of people. OneCause and many other platforms like it are very useful but require much more time to build out an event infrastructure. Again, if going for simplicity in RSVPs, ticketing, and registration, Eventbrite is the best in the business.

We didn't evaluate any other platforms too deeply because Eventbrite had the cheapest fee per ticket and the value of an already successful and connected platform for event discovery was important to us.

A Wonderful (and Free!) Ticketing Platform
I like Eventbrite better for a wide variety of reasons. For starters, it looks significantly more professional than Google Forms does. Additionally, there's a tremendous amount of capability to this software, and it comes at no cost to the business user (if you pass the fees on to attendees). I like the swift communication, the consistent updates on ticket sales, and the features that help better inform attendees so they're not contacting us as frequently. It's a significantly better experience for all involved and even helps with data management after the event is over.

Eventbrite has been a reliable online ticketing gateway for 8 years!
While we haven't used other products, we were approached by Evensi for promoting our event - they found our Eventbrite webpage and contacted us for further services. Several on our planning committee gave it some thought, as Evensi brought our Eventbrite webpage an additional 2K+ general viewers. We considered the enhancement might be worth it, but it would have incurred an additional cost, and we didn't think the ROI was worth it due to our very specific niche audience. We decided our audience was best suited by sticking with Eventbrite's features and our own marketing on our social media pages and websites with links to our Eventbrite page.

Customized event registration pages!
Before using Eventbrite, we collected event registrations through our website. We could only customize it to a certain limit and would have to manually send reminder emails, now Eventbrite takes care of all of this for us. It makes it so much easier for our marketing team.

An Incredibly Efficient Event Creation and Tracking Tool!
We have utilized Eventbrite due to its popularity in the market. After our experience, we can see why it remains one of the top event platforms out there. Overall, the experience is extremely streamlined and helps individuals get details, sign up, and attend events with ease. As an end user, I have appreciated the overall value that the platform provides and the peace of mind that comes from using it compared to other alternatives.

Great for small to mid-sized events!
We have used Meetup alongside Eventbrite. Meetup has its pros and cons but as far as driving greater traffic toward an event and having actual ticket registrations, Eventbrite takes the crown.
It's not an apples to apples comparison. Eventbrite is a much more robust event management platform, designed specifically for ticket sales. Formstack, however, is perfectly fine for event registrations when all that's required is a simple RSVP form and it isn't crucial to issue and verify tickets.
Eventbrite is more polished and easy to set up out of the box, whereas FormAssembly gives you more flexibility and customization.

Eventbrite Marketing Review
Eventbrite is not as customizable as some of the other event marketing platforms. Eventbrite is very broad whereas some of the other event marketing platforms enable you to tailor your message, collect more data and insights on your attendees and guests.

Need to Set up an Event ASAP? Look no further!
We looked at Ticketspice as well, and they're much more affordable and their pages are more customizable than Eventbrite's. They aren't as state of the art of Eventbrite's pages and don't have the blog/current event pages like Eventbrite has, but Ticketspice is very competitive and we now recommend that to most folks over Eventbrite (mainly due to the Eventbrite fees).
We looked at several ticketing solutions and the customer service and price point (for a non-profit) was not able to be found with other providers. However, with the constant evolution in cloud-based software, we anticipate future growth within both Eventbrite and other platforms allowing for software reviews every few years.

Events are a breeze with Eventbrite.
I used to use Cvent at another company, and it was really clunky and hard to customize. Everything felt like a chore, and Eventbrite made things a lot easier and more intuitive. I can create an event in minutes instead of hours, and the attendees have a way better experience with the system.
