I have been using Evernote's PC and Android applications 6 or more years. I have tremendous experience with Evernote's useful and productive features. The Googles Chrome extension is very useful for grabbing webpage notes and saving to Evernote. Tagging notes is another useful feature of Evernote, it's very simple to search in your hundreds of notes when you want a particular one. Sharing notes with your friends, family or colleagues is very simple in Evernote. Evernote provides web access to all your notes. If you want to share any with others, simply create a share link then mail it or share on social media if they not using Evernote. Attach audio, video or images with your Evernote identity and give productive information to your notes. Real time Evernote synchronization with all devices is very useful to access all your notes anywhere, anytime. I am using Evernote for my real estate marketing tactics, creating property notes with Evernote and easily sharing with my clients. Evernote is very helpful to me all time. Evernote's Android app is very simple and easy to use. Evernote added a chat feature recently which you can use to communicate in realtime with other Evernote collaborators. Evernote is best at any time for all kind of users.

  • Finest notes collaboration ever made. Evernote is a fast and reliable productivity application online or offline.
  • Comparatively, Evernote provides very low cloud space to their basic users.
  • Evernote's mobile apps are not equipped with real-time location sharing or store location notes.
  • No integrated video sharing and embedded video sharing with platforms.
There are no major negatives to Evernote's services. They give lot of useful features to all of their users [without] any ad revenue. Evernote is an internet icon that is a major content storage platform both online and offline. Evernote's strength is its stability, powerful note creation and collaboration tools. It's one of best business tools helping and organizing your content online or offline.
Evernote is better than is other powerful corporate competitors like Microsoft or Google. Microsoft's OneNote is the best competitor for Evernote with better online or offline note saving after its release of the tremendous Windows 10. But Evernote is still dominating its position clearly, with its powerful creation tools technology. Google Keep is another major competitor for Evernote, but it is too far behind Evernote.

I'm an investigative reporter for a one-person organization who uses Evernote to store ideas for long-term projects and articles. Before I installed Evernote, I would save bookmarks and forget later why I had done so. By using the notebooks and tabs in Evernote, I can label and organize my work much better than I did before.
  • Evernote Web Clipper in Google Chrome. Saving web pages and links is simple to do with this browser.
  • Notebooks are helpful for sorting notes by category.
  • Tags can be used to sort note within notebooks.
  • Synching the account online and on hard drives. Makes Evernote easy to access.
  • Evernote Web Clipper on Mozilla Firefox. I would prefer to use Google Chrome's fancier clipper, but the browser hogs too much memory on my computer. However, the basic functions are available on Firefox.
The key question to ask is, "How will the company or department use Evernote?" It seems to be well suited for employee collaboration as well as for individual organization. I've noticed options for sharing notes with team members, but, as a one-person operation, I don't use those. Evernote may be less appropriate for anyone who prefers to use old-fashioned Post-Its and to-do lists to prioritize their work.
  • Better long-term planning
  • Increased ability to prioritize projects
I had tried Microsoft OneNote after installing and using Evernote, but it didn't have many of the features to which I had grown accustomed. But OneNote may be a better option for Outlook users who want to keep and share all of their data via the OneDrive or Microsoft Office 365.

  • What are "use cases"?
I rate my likelihood of renewing my use of Evernote at a 9 because the program will remain a key component in orchestrating my organization's long-term plans. But, if Mozilla Firefox designs a better web clipper or Google Chrome solves its memory problems, then I'll change my rating to a 10.

  • It gives me quick access to my notes from all of my many devices.
  • It loads fast, gets the job done, then gets out of the way.
  • I has an ecosystem of plugins and other applications, of which I use several.
  • The free version is more than sufficient for everything that I use it for. But the paid version has some obvious advantages.
  • I would like to be able to do more markup, maybe html or markdown, there are ways to get this done, but they are a pain to use.
  • The tables are weak, it would be very handy to have a spreadsheet note type.
  • I use the desktop client a lot on my Windows machines, I would love to see a Linux version too.
  • It would be helpful to have 2 step authentication and encrypted storage. Then I would feel more comfortable storing things like passwords or personal information on their systems.
I have recommended Evernote to colleagues and friends. The only place where I do not feel it is suited is for keeping track of passwords, they do have encrypted sections of notes, but it needs to be clearer on how to use. Otherwise, use it for everything you want to remember, or that you might want to remember. The storage limit on the free account is really high until you start uploading a lot of photos. So I would recommend recording everything you can.
  • Evernote enables me to access my process notes from everywhere, so I am more efficient when I need to get access to information.
  • With the paid version, you can share notebooks which better enables collaboration.
When it comes to ubiquity, Evernote beats every other note taking application I have found. I have a version on my Windows PC's, my Android phones and tablets, and in my browser. I use clearly and skitch, both plugins which make Evernote even more useful. Evernote even plugs into Outlooks to help me remember things from emails. The rest are either really rudimentary offering only a small number of the features, are not easily synced across devices, or else are specific to a platform limiting how I can use it. Diigo is the only one that has features that Evernote can not offer, but it's basic note taking leaves a lot to be hoped for.
This program is simply part of my daily routine now. I am a programmer and in order to stay relevant, I have to study a lot. Evernote enables me to keep all of my study notes and ideas all in one place and every place at the same time. I use it to keep recipes, I use it to track my workouts, I use it to record processes at work that I need to remember. It is always accessible and enables me to quickly find anything I need to remember.

The single most important reason that I use Evernote is that I can take and read notes no matter where I go or what I am doing. It integrates with my browser, my phone, my email client, so it is everywhere. Whenever I find an alternative that looks interesting, I am always burnt when I need to recall something from a note that is on a different computer or a service I can't access.
Evernote was the second product I tried, ever other product I have uses has simply not stacked up. There is nothing different that I could do that would improve this process other than stop looking.
