Basic visual organization - ability to create a notebook and store user notes inside of it.
Basic easy navigation - You can quickly move in and out of files and notes.
User intuitive addition - whatever you need to add to your document, it's relatively easy to understand and use.
We find overall that we still want some functionality in creating better task lists, boards, and other things that we find in Notion - which is the tool that we use as a team notebook/storage space.
We absolutely love Evernote and use it on a daily basis. It stands apart from the other note taking apps. There isn't much that we would like to add or suggest for additions as we only use a small percentage of its capabilities currently. They got a good thing going over at Evernote!
Being one of the premier note and collaboration tools, Evernote has a refined user experience and low learning curve making it easy for enterprises to implement and use on the go.
I'd rate it higher but it's hard to say it's significantly more usable than say, Apple notes. Does it have more features? Yes. Does it have better sharing? Same or better. But it's a third party app vs built-in - requires you to log in vs built into the system. With that reservation, when I have to use a note-making app instead of notes, I always go to Evernote. It's an improvement for sure.
This rating is because it is a great tool for keeping resources and sorting and searching. However, Evernote is not strong for real-time team collaboration. It is also weak in checklists and tracking, which is something my team needs every day. Evernote is a great tool, it may just depend on the need of the team as to whether it is the best tool for the team.
Evernote is a suite of software and services designed for notetaking and archiving. A "note" can be a piece of formatted text, a full webpage or webpage excerpt, a photograph, a voice memo, or a handwritten "ink" note. Notes can also have file attachments. Notes can be sorted into folders, then tagged, annotated, edited, given comments, searched and exported as part of a notebook. Evernote supports a number of operating system platforms (including OS X, iOS, Chrome OS, Android, Microsoft Windows, Windows Phone, BlackBerry, and webOS) and also offers online synchronisation and backup services.
