Users have found FileInvite to be a valuable tool in streamlining their document collection process, particularly for registration purposes for summer campers. The software has proven effective in handling multiple forms and documents from parents, seasonal staff, and vendors throughout the summer and into the fall. By using FileInvite, users are able to keep everyone involved in the transaction updated on the status of outstanding documents, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.

One of the notable features of FileInvite is its client interface, which provides an easy way for clients to upload documents. Users appreciate this user-friendly functionality, as it simplifies the document collection process and reduces the need for manual follow-up with clients. Additionally, the software's budget-friendly nature and ability to load templates have been praised by users, as these features offer convenience and cost-effectiveness.

However, some users have expressed frustration with the support provided by FileInvite. Complaints about unreliable and unresponsive support have been reported, leading to difficulties in resolving issues or receiving assistance when needed. Furthermore, users have experienced technical issues with the software itself, such as slow screen refreshes. Although these issues have been acknowledged by the company, they have not yet been addressed or resolved.

In addition to its use for document collection purposes, FileInvite is also utilized for document transfer and sharing within organizations. It enables seamless collaboration between teams and facilitates efficient communication with clients. Some clients, however, have complained about automatic email reminders generated by FileInvite.

Overall, users have implemented FileInvite to improve their document collection processes and enhance organization of client-related tasks. Despite some shortcomings in support and technical performance, the software has proven beneficial in managing document workflows and ensuring timely completion of necessary paperwork.

Intuitive Collection Process: Several users have found the collection process for required documents and forms in this software to be intuitive. They have stated that it is easy to navigate and complete tasks efficiently, resulting in a positive user experience.

Convenient E-Sign Feature: Reviewers have appreciated the e-sign feature of this software, describing it as a breeze to use. This functionality has made it convenient for users to obtain signatures quickly and easily, saving them time and effort.

Outstanding Integration with Existing Data Server: The integration of this software with existing data servers has been praised by users. They have found it outstanding, mentioning that it helps them effectively manage complete versus incomplete documents and forms. This integration has proven valuable for their workflow management.

Lacking Mass Printing Functionality: Some users have expressed dissatisfaction with the software's mass printing functionality, stating that it does not adequately support paper copies. They feel that this limitation hinders their ability to efficiently generate physical documents in bulk.

Steep Learning Curve for Managing Due Dates: Many reviewers have mentioned that there is a steep learning curve when it comes to managing due dates in the software, which can be challenging and time-consuming. Users have struggled to navigate the system effectively and found it difficult to set and track deadlines accurately.

Difficulty Collaborating with Clients Preferring Physical Paper: Users have reported difficulties in back-door file collaboration with clients who prefer physical paper. The lack of online form completion capabilities prevents seamless collaboration, making it cumbersome for both parties involved. This limitation has resulted in inconvenience and potential delays in document exchange.

Used for document transfer and sharing with clients and others teams within the organization.
  • Templates are fantastic and take very little time to create a file invite.
  • Ease and simplicity of communication.
  • Ability to send reminders to ensure needs tasks are completed.
  • As with many "add-on" type products that some parties may not be used to, sometimes the emails get lost and it can be hard for people who aren't used to the product to get used to a new format of communication. That said, I think it has a fairly quick learning curve for people who are even remotely tech-savvy.
  • Have had trouble with documents syncing from time to time.
  • Inability to default to different date format. This one is small, but frustrating when we need it to be in a different format.
Great for smaller file sharing scenarios because while simple, it can be time-consuming to get all the forms you need to be published. I do believe for the price, you can't beat this product's functionality.
  • Document signing/ file sharing
  • Easy template creation
  • Ability to manage, get updates, and set reminders
  • Positive feedback from clients and employees who have used this vs DocuSign.
  • Not sure about the exact ROI, however, I know that this has had significant cost savings vs the previous software.
Similarly, I found FileInvite to be easier, cheaper, and has more functionality that is useful for me.

We leverage FileInvite to help with client document collection. It helps cut down on how much time we have to spend following up with the clients, but some clients complain about the automatic email reminders.
  • Secure file transfer service
  • Templates and automation are easy to use
  • Great reports and notification systems
  • Some clients complain about the number of emails they receive from the automated system.
  • Some tasks are more complicated than they should be.
  • Some clients have voiced their concerns about how complicated the system is on their end.
It's a great system, but It feels like it is more complicated than it needs to be. In addition to the number of emails, the clients receive sometimes it is a little off-putting to clients. The web interface could be improved upon.
  • Document automation
  • Templates for document requests
  • Secure file transfer
  • The biggest concern is the monthly fee, I wish it was a little lower and therefore it would be more attractive to small businesses.
  • Limited invites on the basic plan.
  • No unlimited plan option.
FileInvite has a lot of nice features, but the overall cost is the company's downfall. We were able to get a lot of the same features that we need for a lot less with other companies and providers.

It helps to keep everyone involved in the transaction with a status of what documents are still outstanding. Easy to use, they have a great and responsive support team. The client interface allows for an easy way for clients to upload documents.
  • Nice and simple software.
  • Fairly simple from the user side.
  • Easy to use and communicate with clients.
  • Very easy to work with, excellent customer service and always available when needed.
  • It takes forever to delete unwanted document in my experience.
  • The signature never appears on the right spot and the box can't be resized.
  • Our problem has always been to collect dozens of documents to submit an application.
I would like the search function to work from the initial dashboard, for the messages from clients to show immediately when you log in, for the forms function to be more sophisticated with great formatting, and for the reminders to have a custom reminder period (e.g. one month).

Fileinvite has solved the issue of how to send and receive sensitive information from clients in a safe and secure manner.
  • More secure professional way to collect documents.
  • Once you load your requests, FileInvite follows up the client by email or sms.
  • You get regular updates as to the progress.
  • Clients are happy knowing that their information is being uploaded in a secure environment.
  • It is not available and the site is not mobile friendly.
  • Initial set up and learning how to use it took some time.
  • There were some minor issues with some of the Live Form.

We've recently implemented FileInvite to help with the collection of certain necessary documentation and to help our clients with the organization of certain necessary client-related tasks.
  • Templates for similar use cases.
  • Customer notifications via email and text.
  • Ease of access to the request list by the recipient.
  • I am hopeful to see more customization in the templates, such as the ability to check to include rather than delete to exclude certain items on a per-client basis.
  • The system allows text reminders and email reminders. There is a cost to the text reminders, but no way to send ongoing email reminders without texts if texts are enabled.
  • I'd like to see a way to send test invitations while fine-tuning a variety of invite types. Currently, I believe any invite goes against the # permitted for the fee paid.
File invite is specifically well suited for anyone that needs to collect certain documents from their customers. I'd say loan officers specifically. However, ideally, the templates would allow for a robust list of every potential document scenario, whereby the user would just go through and mark a check next to those documents required, rather than loading the invite with every available selection and then going through to delete those that are not necessary. This is slightly more time consuming and allows for more room for error.
  • It's a little too soon to tell, but we envision this solution will pay for itself.
  • We also see this solution as an improvement to the customer experience.
There were at least two other solutions that I looked into. Of my list of needs, however, file invite had the majority of them covered, and I know that at least one other solution that I reviewed was significantly more expensive.
It has been pretty smooth so far. There was an issue earlier this week that resulted in corrupted invites whereby the unique secure link failed, but I was able to resubmit the invitations quite simply, and they've assured me the issue was unusual and I won't be alarmed unless it happens again sometime soon.
Aside from a few minor recommendations, the solution is well thought through and very easy to set up. As a matter of fact, the onboarding support by the team was fantastic, and the ongoing availability to help while we were/are learning the platform has been extremely friendly and reliable.
We haven't integrated it into any of our other platforms at this time. I would suggest making it easier to save the link that is sent to the customer in the file invite for future reference internally by the team, but other than that, training a couple of team members to start using it in our workflow was relatively painless.
