Flow is being used across our organization as a project management tool. As a marketing agency, it helps us all align on timelines and passing projects from one person to the next. Additionally, we use a Harvest integration with Flow to track all of our time. It helps address business problems associated with task management and time management.
  • Easy-to-use interface
  • Beautiful design
  • Short learning curve
  • Passing on a task to the next person takes multiple clicks
  • Switching from task to project view isn't seamless
  • Doesn't provide top-notch reporting
Flow is ideal for marketing agencies and organizations where time management or project management is crucial. It's also ideal for organizations with medium or large marketing departments. It may not be ideal for solo endeavors or in situations that require complex reporting methods. Overall, it's flexible enough for a variety of situations.

  • Positive impact: improved efficiency
  • Positive impact: easy time trackin
  • Negative impact: poor reporting
Teamwork is better than Flow when it comes to reporting, as Teamwork lets you better track estimated time and look at the workloads of different team members. However, Flow has a much more beautiful interface and easier to use. Flow is also superior with its "catch up" feature that lets you catch up on missed notifications. Teamwork is much more frustrating when it comes to notifications. Trello is similar to Flow, but with not as many features.

Flow is a great platform that, thanks to it, we have been able to manage projects or tasks in a much simpler way, because being able to work collaboratively is really an advantage for our company and this is the reason why we have decided to implement this tool departmentally so as to carry out a better planning of business projects and obtain a better performance in terms of the delivery of them.
  • Flow contains an interface similar to a social network so using it is really simple.
  • Its interface contains a very clean and organized design.
  • Provides really optimal functions to streamline, plan and organize business projects.
  • It contains high-level support because they are always attentive to questions or problems that are presented to users.
  • Provides much more enjoyable communication so planning and exchanging ideas is really easy.
  • It would be great to be able to integrate with Google Calendar as this way it is much easier to keep an order of important dates.
  • Your search is somewhat tedious because even though you have searched for a file before, it does not save it, so it must be searched from the beginning.
Flow is a platform that is suitable for project planning or delivery of projects that warrant a crucial timeframe. It is ideal to carry out the management of projects of small or medium-sized companies. It could also work for a large company but a larger number of users must be managed.

Because it does not report an issue in very explicit reports, it is not software that is suitable for delivering projects that require a much more complete analysis.

  • Implementing Flow has allowed for better performance at the collaborative level since communication is much more efficient.
  • Thanks to that you can take better management of the projects ls deliveries of projects scheduled for certain dates is much faster.
  • It is difficult to forget or pass a delivery date as it allows us to create reminders.
Flow, unlike Trello, offers its users a more organized interface and much more complete tools to carry out project management, which is why I consider that for the management of business projects of medium or large companies this tool covers the needs of each. In addition, its ease of use makes it much easier to adapt to this tool because it does not require a very learning curve.

We use Flow for our entire organization. It allows us to manage projects across departments. As we have lots of recurring events, we can set those up as projects and copy them for use at a different time
  • The “catch up” tab is especially helpful for staying up to date with all the projects you are part of.
  • Being able to overview all of the projects and their status within a team helps give our top-level leaders a snapshot of where we are at any given moment.
  • The lack of sharing ability outside of your organization, if you work with volunteers this really limits how you can work with diverse teams.
  • The UI is not always the most intuitive. While they have been making improvements, there are times that I find myself searching help documents more often than I have another project management systems.
Flow works well for small teams with few projects that need to be managed. It does not work well if you have a large organization with many members who need to collaborate. It does not work at all for an organization that has volunteers who need limited access, as every user has to be a paid user.

  • Our biggest issue prior to flow was scrambling at the last minute to meet a project deadline. Flow has helped us manage tasks towards a deadline to execute more successful events and projects.
  • Since Flow is being used across our entire organization, the speed at which we can collaborate cross-departmentally has increased. This is especially true of our communication and collaboration with our Marketing team.
  • Flow has allowed our leadership team to be able to see the progress of a project at any time just by looking at that projects dashboard. This has both given them confidence as well as let them know when they need to intervene.
Flow and Asana have many similar properties. The largest difference would be the flow desktop app - which we love. On the other hand, Asana allows free and paid users, as well as guests. The feature gap, however, has been narrowed even more in recent months.

Currently only used by our department. We've tried a variety of PM tools to try to find the right fit for us and Flow is a strong contender. It allows us to consolidate our project info and responsibilities among our Marketing and Communications departments. The dashboard view is a big help in conducting production meetings to make sure everyone is aware of responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Design: very easy to discern what is important at a glance. The UX just works; it's very well thought out.
  • Ease of use: onboarding was a breeze. Was up and running in less than an hour.
  • Support: in-app support is great, nice website too to find exactly the solutions we needed.
  • Would like to have request forms added to the workflow. We have to do those manually then add to the project.
  • Would love to have the ability to route proofs to external users for feedback and keep the reviews in the project
This seems to be a great fit for small teams as the at-a-glance approach works wonders for breaking up the vast amount of projects. You can add subtasks as well to keep the high-level folders at a minimum. Not sure how well it will do in an asset-heavy (i.e. agency) setting. Need to test that functionality more.

  • As the price is very low comparative to other similar software, it's an amazing value for what you get.
  • Everyone seems to enjoy the ease of use, so buy in was high from the beginning
  • The consolidation of our work as a whole has made Flow one of our top PM choices
Asana and Freedcamp are similar, but I feel Flow is easier to hit the ground running with. Add a strong mobile component (apps) and great customer support I feel they are doing PM software the right way. However, Asana is huge and constantly adding features, so over time the big players may easily address their pain points. There are so many similar programs like this now.

Flow for Life

Flow was used by two or three departments within the company, ones like marketing and video creation that often had to collaborate on projects together. It eliminated unnecessary e-mails and provided quick and easy status reports on project status. It also created a great way to create recurring tasks for routine projects.
  • Project management
  • Traffic controlling for designers
  • Reminders
  • Better integration with Google Calendar -- it could be a bit clunky
  • The mobile app didn't have as much functionality as one would like - you had to download two apps to access the features used on a desktop version
Flow is great for a team that is managing many projects with a lot of different players involved. It lets people really drill down into the projects that they are a part of without getting distracted by everyone else's work. The features like "focus work" and muting notifications are great for a fast-paced workplace which creates distractions. It is too robust for smaller teams or individual work.

  • Flow has increased employee productivity
  • Flow keeps projects from falling through the cracks
  • Flow automates task creation
Flow is the best all-in-one solution. It is better than Todoist because of it's more robust features and the ability for project nesting and is way easier to use than Basecamp. It is not as effective at content management as Trello or Airtable because it is not designed for those tasks. Since it is specifically built for project management, it is better than Trello or Airtable which are more multi-functional.
