What is Forcepoint Email Security?

Forcepoint Email Security promises to help stop ransomware and other threats. The product uses the Advanced Classification Engine (ACE) to identify threats ranging from annoying spam to advanced malware, phishing, and Business Email Compromise (BEC) attacks.

Another key benefit is to block data theft with content-aware DLP. The vendor says advanced capabilities detect data theft concealed in images or custom-encrypted files, even when gradually transmitted in small amounts to evade detection.

Finally, the product promises to help identify high-risk user behavior. The rich data collection capability can quickly generate a report on indicators of compromise to identify infected systems and suspicious user behavior.

  • Ease of GUI
  • Rule creating very intuitive
Likelihood to Recommend
Forcepoint Email Security is perfect for set and forget. Very little do I need to get in and that's to tailor a policy there are minimal issues I have encountered since using the product.

While the Cisco Email was a close second, the customization of the Forcepoint Email Security policies and reports is what won us over.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We are using it as our main mail filter. All our inbound mail is routing via Forcepoint mail security. We lately have also expanded the capability with the Sandbox feature. By using this service we are making sure our mail system is being secured from spam viruses, malware, and dangerous URLs that are being sent .

I have been working for years with Forcepoint--they have the ultimate package in terms of integration of DLP and mail security
Return on Investment
  • Even though Forcepoint solution is targeted high in terms of price, the added value it provides to an organization by securing their system in web and mail is tremendous
Alternatives Considered
Since Forcepoint is used widely in our organization, the integration between DLP web and Mail is amazing, and I didn’t find a good reason to split services between vendors if I have all the package in one place
