We use Vimeo for hosting videos on our portfolio page, and for that, Vimeo is superior. However for multiple stakeholders reviewing a video to give notes, frame.io seemed to be superior and more intuitive.

Frame.io is better when being compared to the Google Drive as a platform just because of the usability. Frame.io has a more simple design format, that makes organizing projects and file structures much more readily available when doing a quick search. The ability to review and comment on the different projects is also better in Frame.io as it shows who said what and at what timecode they are referring to.

The other platforms are not digital asset management tools. Frame.io is entirely different and works perfect for our digital assets

We previously used Wipster to edit our films but switched to Frame.io when we needed a more robust system that allowed for user permissions, more types of edits (text & drawing), and an archive option for finished films. We are a year into the switch and are happy with the change. We are enjoying using Frame!

Frame is easily the most efficient video review service of the options i've tried. Wipster is a close second, followed by Vimeo. Trello is listed only b/c it can be tailored for whatever need you have - though I recognize it isn't a true video review system. Wipster's drawbacks when I used it were primarily technical - it regularly didn't work like it was supposed to and was limited. I believe it's come a long ways - though at the time it did not have an iOS app, which was a huge plus for Frame. Vimeo seems like it's playing catchup and though they've really improved, their organization is a bit convoluted and confusing.

We used to use Dropbox as our main point of uploading and holding videos, but it was such a hassle because our edits came separately. It was almost just used as storage, and we had to have a separate email(s) with all of the edits coming from different departments. With Frame.io, the upload takes less time, people can add comments directly on the videos, AND the fact that you can upload new versions and literally use the same link is a total game-changer.

I last used Wipster around 4-5 months ago, but I felt downtrodden by both their business practices and interface. Wipster sprung a new pricing model on users. This pricing model made no sense, was extremely pricey for no reason, and felt like a punch in the gut by a new and greedy company. Furthermore, I had constant issues with the software. It was buggy, slow, and presented issues with clients.

My first day with Frame.io was like being released from prison. All I'd known up to this point was disappointment and gloom. Frame.io took every single issue our team had with Wipster and resolved it. Frame.io was nearly perfect.
