Genius Solutions has brought us many advantages in terms of productivity. We can follow a production to the letter, make customer orders, purchase, receive, special projects, put into production and all this modifiable according to our needs. The customer service is excellent, people listening according to our needs and our reality. Good company, good service, constant innovation.

Likelihood to Recommend
Genius Solutions can adapt to each of our needs according to our type of specialist company. For special projects it is easy to integrate unique machines (design) into the software to be able to keep records of the components purchased.
In particular, we can have good machine cost quickly according to our requests.
There is however some ease-of-use problems but with the research team constantly working on development the next version is going to be excellent.

We have been using Genius for about a year in all of our departments. Engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, data collection (mainly labor time), accounting ... Genius allows us to track jobs from launch to delivery. The creation of items and the inventory tracking of the software also help us to reduce the costs associated with the latter.
Pros and Cons
  • The production is simple and efficient, this is done directly from our 3D design software (SolidWorks).
  • Technical support is efficient, when problems arise, solutions are provided quickly.
  • The monitoring of production costs is clear and easy to consult.
  • The implementation is relatively difficult.
  • Loading the ETM module (to switch from 3D to Genius) is long in the case of large assemblies.
  • It is difficult to correct errors or modify a job in progress.
Likelihood to Recommend
The ability to add custom reports is a big advantage. This allows each department to follow up on the points they deem important. Genius is definitely made for mass production. It's a little less flexible for "custom" production. It is very easy to see where we are in current jobs and to plan the production of future jobs.

Genius ERP is being used for our manufacturing department. We use it to manage and improve everything from quoting to inventory control/scheduling manufacturing to analysis on financials.
Pros and Cons
  • Product Configuration(the ability to quote customisable products.)
  • Inventory Management (Keep shelves stocked with stockable inventory)
  • Manufacturing Scheduling
  • Genius is great at making it so you can't change a "confirmed" transaction but this limits the ability to easily fix mistakes. I.e., instead of deleting or changing an invoice you have to credit it and remake it. This is makes it easier to track what happened but is tedious when someone made multiple of the same mistakes.

Genius is great for analysis data using Microsoft products like Power BI or Excel as it links directly to them. Genius has also helped the work flow of our company a lot by streamlining processes. One process that helps our company a lot is the ability to print all work orders and fabrication/assembly plans in their batch printing module. Printing these would take up to five hours per assembly in Quickbooks and it now takes 10 minutes.

  • Being able to track time, cost of outside services and cost of materials has allowed us to trust the accuracy of our product markups and prices.
  • Improved inventory control allows us to get products out quicker.
  • The ability to sync the database with Power BI has allowed up to have a better picture of our financials and projected cashflow.
Alternatives Considered
Genius had a far better implementation team and had everything we were looking for without having to super customize a product. The implementation was also far easier than expected due to their ability to manipulate spreadsheets and import them in. We are glad we went with Genius due to the flow of the software and the syncable database. The main thing missed about Quickbooks is the ability to easily fix mistakes by deleting transactions or edit them even after they posted. This however made financials less reliable.

  • We record sales - all our shipments.
  • We manage the status of raw materials and finished products.
  • We create all our purchase orders.
Pros and Cons
  • It has a variety of modules and can customize reports or filters to suit all our needs.
  • I appreciate that we can export and import from Excel.
  • This freed us from certain tasks, automate certain processes and be more efficient in our work.
  • Support hours (now, from 8h00 to 17h00, Monday to Friday).
  • The info with help button (F1) to be more easy to find.
Likelihood to Recommend
Genius gives us more transparency and visibility in our processes. Also, stocks are more easily controlled. Genius is flexible and easy to use. It has a variety of modules and can customize reports or filters to suit all of our needs. Also, I really appreciated that we can export and import from Excel. I have been attending some free sessions with a senior analyst from Genius and I really appreciate them. I had access to clear and quick explanations, helpful solutions, and training to deepen my knowledge.

  • For several years, we have been using Genius as our ERP software and we will continue because it is developing and adapting all the time.
Alternatives Considered
A lot of reports or filters to suit all needs and the possibility to customize them. You can export a whole, make changes and import the whole. For example, making changes in some BOMs, etc. Have automatic reports every morning with the necessary information.
