GEP SMART - smartest tool for procurement
We have built a highly transparent approval process based on the dollar amounts in the documents. The turnaround time to create PO from pr and invoice from PO is decreased. Reducing the manual data entry through its invoice extraction bot.
We've benefited from this - in short, we have fewer humans touching the process, which leads to efficiencies and better outcomes. By consolidating our processes on the GEP SMART platform, we've enabled our procurement workflows to require a minimum number of touchpoints, something we did NOT enjoy in our previous architecture.
We only have the source to contract (S2C) portion of SMART. I would like S2C to be more integrated as different modules are still owned by different groups and I see that many inconsistencies.

An honest review of GEP SMART for Spend Analytics
We only use a single module of GEP SMART, but our analysis has shown that the benefits of having a single integrated platform are significant. The challenge of integrating data across different sources to pay applications is enormous and requires executive commitment for significant investment in data standards, data quality, and data cleansing. Without this commitment, many best-of-breed choices will fail to deliver the full benefits.

The GEP SMART solution has enabled us to have one platform solution across our different business units and geographic regions for our supply chain operating system. As a supply management team, the SMART solution allows us to measure our supplier performance with consistent data.

Global Customer Review
We are not currently utilizing the tool in this manner. We utilize a separate contracting module without a connection to the GEP SMART system. The e-sourcing module is being utilized as a stand-alone tool and we are unable to gain the benefits of having a unified source-to-pay platform with an uninterrupted workflow.

An End User's Perspective of GEP SMART
My current instance is that GEP is a bolt-on to our ERP. My opinion is that we are not able to leverage GEP's uninterrupted workflow to its full capabilities because of the way our organization integrated with GEP.

GEP SMART Spend Module Review
We only subscribe to the Spend Management module. We have briefly explored other modules in the past (eSourcing) but found that our needs are better met by other providers outside of GEP SMART.
