This has proved to be a creative way of incentivizing scheduling and improving customer engagement.

During the pandemic, organizations have turned to Giftbit as a means of boosting staff morale and showing appreciation. For instance, one user, who served as the chair of a staff morale committee, used the platform to send gift cards to employees. The ability to customize messaging and branding allowed for a personalized touch in expressing gratitude to the team members. Moreover, Giftbit's integration with Zapier has saved users hours of time by automating the process of sending gift cards to customers. By streamlining this task, businesses have been able to focus on other important aspects of their operations.

Another key use case has been seen during COVID, where Giftbit was employed to send employee appreciation gifts, acknowledging their hard work during these challenging times. In addition, a growing business has leveraged Giftbit's efficiency to deliver end-of-year thank you gifts to specific teams. The platform's features have allowed for customization and branding options, ensuring that the tokens of appreciation are tailored and meaningful.

Furthermore, Giftbit serves as a digital incentives program that can be connected to consumer panels. This provides users with a hands-off rewards mall where they can redeem points for digital rewards. The ability to track who has opened and viewed gift card links has been particularly useful for users, offering valuable insights into engagement and follow-up actions.

Overall, Giftbit has been praised for its time-saving capabilities when it comes to sending incentives in bulk. I use Giftbit to offer an incentive to potential customers to meet with me to discuss a specific product. My customers are doctors who own their own practices so getting time with them can be challenging. The gift card helps make getting the appointment easier. I was able to book about 70 appointments over a 3-month period, in part because of the gift card.
  • The platform is very easy to use. I can order and send a gift card in about a minute.
  • The support is excellent. The only trouble I had involved getting my logo to display properly in the email sent from Giftbit. Their support team was responsive and had my issue fixed within 24 hours.
  • The pricing is very fair, especially given how easy the product is.
  • I found the whole process of setting up the templates cumbersome. That said, once it was done (and I had good help from support), everything was seamless.
  • It's not as easy as I'd like it to be to see who I sent gift cards to recently. The "Orders" dashboard doesn't show the recipient's name, email address, or whether they've opened/redeemed their gift card. You have to click on each record to get that info, or you have to search for a specific customer. I'd like to be able to scan the dashboard and know who's done what at the bird's eye level.
It's been great to incentivize appointments. I can also see that it would be a good tool to send gifts to existing customers.

  • Offering the gift cards definitely drove the number of appointments set. I was advertising in a trade journal, so I was hitting the right targets, but the gift card helped drive bookings.
  • The downside is that I had a pretty large percentage (about half) that were not serious buyers but rather "gift card hunters." This has nothing to do with Giftbit but it's a factor in my consideration of future advertising. Given that I was offering a $50 gift card for the meeting, the gift cards added up to a sizable portion of my ad budget.
  • If I'm going to offer a gift card, I'm going to use Giftbit.
I searched for gift card providers and looked at several but none seemed to have the confidence of the internet as much as Giftbit so that's who I went with. It was a good decision.

Our growing business was looking at a quick and efficient way to deliver end-of-year thank you gifts in the form of gift cards to a specific product and marketing team, in addition to our normal company-wide gifts. We wanted them sent alongside a personal email written by their superiors, so they all felt individually appreciated. Giftbit allowed us to send gift card links separately and could customize the messaging and branding, so it felt like our company's.
For other teams, we utilized their mass template, where you can choose variable data to insert into a larger template and send out as a branded gift card.
The response was positive, and everyone said they were very easy to use. The only frustrating part was accidentally sending a few with expiration dates that were less than two months away, so we had to adjust, so they expired a year later. What's really nice is that you can see who has opened their links, who has viewed their links, etc.
  • Sending mass brand-templated gift cards
  • Choosing which type of gift card you want (e.g. Starbucks, Amazon)
  • Showing metrics for gift cards
  • The process of buying credits to then load into gift cards was a little confusing
  • Would be nice to have an overview of all metrics in one place, like seeing all gift cards opened or unopened instead of only showing in the batches they were sent
Giftbit will work well for teams of 10 or more, and I can see it scaling to an infinite amount. If you put in the work on the front end, you can really customize the experience of the recipient. The only struggle is that if you have a large amount going out, you need to make sure you have all emails or a place to give out all the unique gift card links. We ran into an issue where some overseas employees couldn't use specific gift cards, but we had already pre-loaded our budgeted amount in credits on the platform.
  • Mass sending
  • Brand customization
  • Choice of card (e.g. Amazon, Starbucks)
  • A majority of recipients used their gift cards
We chose Giftbit because of its ability to electronically send gift cards, no fees on the recipient side, brand customization, and overall user experience of the site. Other sites we found had high fees to create gift cards, would only allow physical cards, or didn't have an easy way to automatically send large amounts of cards.

I used Giftbit, as the chair of our staff morale committee, to send gift cards to staff during the pandemic when we couldn't gather together as a group. Normally, we provide meals to staff throughout the year and because of COVID, we had to get creative with how to boost morale and show appreciation for our employees this past year and a half. We sent gift cards to staff using Giftbit on three or four occasions so far, and it was an easy way to send out a lot of gift cards at a time and the staff loved being able to choose their own restaurant or store.
  • It's super easy to buy and send the gift cards. I used the links and they were sent to me right away in an Excel sheet.
  • There was a good variety of gift cards to choose from to offer to our staff.
  • User-friendly interface for our staff to use (even the not-so-technologically-savvy!
  • I would love to be able to customize the actual gift more by being able to add more graphics, change fonts, etc.
  • As a nonprofit organization, we can't really afford to lose so much money by people not claiming gift cards, which is why we chose to buy links. Using the links is very time consuming to send out.
Giftbit is great to send many gifts at one time. I had a hard time finding anything similar when wanting to reward staff who are all very different as far as personality types, pay grades, lifestyles, etc. Giftbit really had something for everyone and it's easy to send many out at one time if you a lot of staff.
  • Gift card variety options for different staff
  • Quick buying options for last-minute organization of projects
  • The ability to buy links instead of just sending out the gift cards to individual emails
  • Our experience with Giftbit definitely raised staff morale.
  • Love that you are able to customize how much you want to offer on the gift cards
I haven't used any products like Giftbit. Since I have enjoyed my experience with Giftbit, I haven't looked into any other platforms that offer the same things.

We are using it for fulfillment on a project by project basis.
  • Simple interface
  • Low cost of entry
  • Easy for one off campaigns
  • The credits system is a bit complex
It's really great if you're doing something like a survey, and want to be able to send out incentives. Especially if you don't do a lot of surveys over the year, and don't need a more complicated system. We were able to link it up with our survey, and have the choice to automatically send them out, or do it manually daily.

We also found a great for small focus group fulfillment, because it can be hard to find a way to do small batches, and this is the perfect system for it.
  • Ease of use
  • Great customer service
  • Able to do in small batches
  • We now have an easy way to do these fulfillments
  • It's easy to set up an account
  • It alleviates privacy issues on our end
This was a smaller cost of entry, and much easier.

GiftBit is used by our org as the digital incentives program connected to a consumer panel run on the Fuel Cycle community platform. Its intent is to be a hands-off rewards mall provider for users on the platform when they want to redeem points for digital rewards. It is used primarily by API but its also used a lot manually (by me) for distribution of incentives to panelists directly when the API (or the Fuel Cycle community platform) fails to redeem or process a reward properly.
  • It has a nice email builder for sending messages along with an incentive code to a person.
  • It segregates my USD balance from my CAN balance at the dashboard level so I can monitor both.
  • The reporting is VERY basic.
  • Templates should be easier to create and re-use.
Giftbit is suited for straightforward and repeatable incentives (to tech-savvy users familiar with digital rewards redemptions) and less suited for flexible ad-hoc rewards distributions. Also less suited for API integration with the Fuel Cycle community platform as it causes more problems than it solves. Having moved my panel to the FocusVision Kinesis community platform, I have had ZERO issues with their API integration with Tango Card.
  • Negative: We lose money on failed redemptions via the API. If a user redeems their points on the platform for a reward but the Giftbit reward never gets to them in 90 days, Giftbit gives you back half the amount. Just not a fan of that business model as I end up many times having to pay the user the full amount again just to make them happy for the tech snafu caused by the API. This means for a $5 incentive that I pay $2.50 for the failed one plus another $5 to make it right with my panelist to save face.
I have experience with Rybbon, PayPal and Tango Card in addition to Giftbit. From the API perspective of attaching one of these incentive providers to your community platform as its rewards mall it's not even close as Tango Card does the best job hands down. I have not had one complaint from any of my ~18,000 users regarding redemption issues or problems and I'm two months in to the relationship with Tango.
Giftbit and its API was recommended (maybe mandated?) to us by our community platform provider as the only option so we weren't able to shop around. That is the genesis of its use as if we'd had our druthers, would have considered others.
When a redemption via the API connected to my community platform provider failed, the support was extremely limited. It was fast but limited. Most common conversations with Giftbit support ended in "unfortunately we cannot help you or your recipient with that issue." I'm not sure if Giftbit deserves 100% of the blame for API issues with Fuel Cycle community platform but the end result is that a user will redeem their points for a reward and would never get it. Once these issues are reported to me, I couldn't help them from the dashboard either as I was unable to review their claim codes, etc. and make it right, resulting in lost $.
