GlobalMeet is like that friend who is there in the background ready to jump in and help when things go wrong. Our company primarily uses some of the larger meeting programs but when those don't play well on other peoples' computers and we need a quick fix, GlobalMeet comes to the rescue!
  • Versatile software for Macs and PCs
  • Has the ability to start a meeting in seconds
  • Easy to learn tool for individuals of all experience levels
  • Globalmeet isn't as robust as some of the larger digital conference platforms but that's not necessarily a bad thing
  • Some features like drawing on the presentation aren't are smooth as some of the competitors
  • I'd like to see GlobalMeet do something different instead of being "WebEx-Lite"
I love GlobalMeet. It's easy to use in almost every way possible, easy to install, easy to boot up, and best of all I've never had this platform freeze during the middle of a presentation. Nothing is worse than getting ready to present a demo or close a deal but a software program is preventing you from achieving your goal. GlobalMeet comes through for you.

GlobalMeet Collaboration gets the job done. It has functionality that a lot of the competitors don’t have and sometimes support is needed to help execute that functionality. The experience my company has had with their support team has been great. We get the answers quickly and know that we can rely on the customer service teams if/when we have a major issue.
GlobalMeet just “gets it” which is a rarity in the collaboration world. We tried Skype and it’s good for some things but ultimately we went with GlobalMeet Collaboration because of the reliability. And after all this time we still enjoy the features and overall platform as a whole. It was a good choice for our business.

Skype for Business. We replaced that particular platform because we needed the features that weren’t available and if they were available, we needed them to be reliable. Skype just wasn’t. GlobalMeet Collaboration was something we knew would work on every device within our organization and work the first time rather than require a ticket opened with IT.

Price was the ultimate decision and it was comparable to other platforms out there but the main decision came down to product usability. We needed people to come in and regardless of their technology knowledge and prowess, they needed to get into the platform and execute on the requirements rather than spend time trying to onboard and learn complex features. GlobalMeet Collaboration just worked.
I would have tried out GlobalMeet Collaboration first because we would have found the platform that fit our organization immediately instead of the trial and error that we went through testing out competitors before we came to GlobalMeet Collaboration. It just felt like a fit once we got it up and running and people seemed to just “get it.” You don’t get that with many of the competitors out there.

We schedule meetings with staff and customers and we use GlobalMeet to have a centralized location for everyone to call in at. Some people may be working from home, working off-site or in a different part of the country. It's a way to get everybody together. You can share screens and have an integrated meeting.
  • I like the screen sharing features.
  • I like the audio features such as muting and recording options.
  • Integration with Outlook to create calendar appointments and add additional people to the meeting.
  • Sometimes there is a lag when I'm presenting in a meeting. I have also experienced lags when sharing my screen.
  • As far as I know, this isn't available on mobile devices.
  • Sometimes the quality is bad and we have had people who were unable to join or were not able to hear other participants.
It is well suited if you need a centralized place for people to meet regardless of their geographical location. It's great if you have information on your screen that you would like to share, for example, if you are presenting a slide show. It's less appropriate for people on the go since you need a desktop to use the platform.

  • We have had some challenges with this software. Some people had difficulties calling in and some people got dropped from calls. This has led to inefficiencies in our calls.
  • People have had to install updates which led to delay times in joining a meeting.
  • Audio is sometimes hard to hear and we have had to reschedule our calls.
I have used Skype for web calls in the past and have had no issues with it. It is the best conference tool I have used. I would not recommend GlobalMeet. It is too buggy and there are better solutions out there. Teleconferencing is becoming more of the norm and we need a reliable solution. GlobalMeet isn't very reliable.

We had previously used Skype for business and I had a few issues with this service. The first one that was really bothersome was that there wasn't a good way to connect to conference calls from your phone. If you wanted to use your phone, you would have to log in to the conference call from your computer first and then call in with your phone. When I would do this, the software, when taking attendance, would count me twice. Once for logging in from the computer and twice for calling in on my cell phone. It really through off attendance records. When using Global Meet, I can just call in on my cell phone without jumping through any hoops. The second thing that was annoying was that Skype wasn't a stand alone product, it was associated with my work log on. So, if I was working remotely and wanted to use Skype, I would have to log on to my work's servers first. I'm guessing my company wanted it set up that way. When we switched to Global Meet, we could just log on directly to Global Meet without having to sign in with my work credentials first.

The most important factor was the value that the service could bring to our company. When evaluating software, price is of course a consideration, but we are not going to just purchase the cheapest service we can find. We don't mind paying a little more if we feel we are getting a good return on our investment. The features that led us to feel like we were getting a good return on our money was that it is very intuitive and user friendly. It is also easy to access and has high functionality such as creating personalized meeting rooms and easy content sharing. I did have some trouble sharing my screen, but once I figured it out, it was easy.
If we were to start from the very beginning, even before using Skype, the most important thing I would look at is how compatible it is with mobile devices. I travel a lot and I conduct most of my business through my phone. In addition, most of my co-workers conduct most of their business on their phone as well. Having said that, a web conferencing service that has high integration with my cell phone is extremely important to me. We feel that Global Meet enables us to engage on our cell phones without sacrificing any functionality.

GlobalMeet is the platform used by our organization for conference calls with our board of directors and regional representatives. Our organization is a small non-profit, but all members use the software for any conference call needs. The ability to share the dial-in information with participants and use any phone makes it possible for the software to be used anywhere.

GlobalMeet is perfect for small office settings that require multiple participants to be involved in a meeting that are in various geographical locations. Often our organization will have participants traveling, sometimes out of the country. Regardless of where they are located, they are able to dial in to meetings. Larger companies may find other platforms more functional for their needs.

Our small non-profit organization appreciates the ease of use of the platform for conference call needs. Other platforms can be much more complicated for users unfamiliar with conference call technology. We use it several times a month for committee meetings, regional rep check ins, and meetings with our board of directors.

For our small non profit organization, the ability for multiple participants being able to call in without too much difficulty is key. The cost is comparable to other conference call platforms available for small business, but we appreciate the ease of use of GlobalMeet when meeting participants are located in multiple geographical locations.
Possibly look at updates and extra tools available and help desk options for users unfamiliar with the product. I would appreciate a platform that allowed for cloud storage of meeting recordings instead of a platform that deletes the content after 30 days and/or has an option to purchase a DVD.

GlobalMeet is being used in our company since we are located across the United States. This product allows us to meet on a regular basis, share screens to do trainings and provides recordings of the meetings for those who could not attend. GlobalMeet is used to update staff as well as train staff on new processes and procedures thru screen sharing.
  • GlobalMeet is a great way for sharing screens when you are not able to meet in person.
  • GlobalMeet has a chat system so that questions can be answered while you are in the meeting.
  • When lots of people are on GlobalMeet is tends to disconnect or people have a hard time getting on.
  • Sometimes when you are not on a hardwire internet source, the participant has a hard time connecting.
Global Meet is very well suited for a company that works remotely and can not gather for meetings and trainings.

Skype for Business just allows us to share screens and chat. There isn't a recording to see what happened throughout the meeting and isn't as thorough as GlobalMeet in its capabilities.

We have never had an issue with the availability of GlobalMeet. It has always been available when we needed it.
For the most part GlobalMeet loaded everything quickly. The only problem that we had was when the whole company was on a training at one time, we had a hard time with screen sharing and the pages loading in a timely manner. Everything seemed to slow down when lots of people were on the system at once.
