Gong is wonderful and has helped me grow from being a sales development representative to an account executive. It helps me be a better sales professional by allowing me the opportunity to listen to my calls, see data/analytics, and listen to my colleagues' calls. This allows me to constantly improve and grow my skill set.

It has been extremely valuable as an SDR when I first started to listen to old reps and hear how they have become successful. This has continued as I am an account executive now and can listen to seasoned professionals and how they handled discovery calls, demos, pricing discussions, etc. It is also helpful for me if I do not have time to write down notes, I can go listen back to my calls to ensure I am up to speed on my opportunities.

Gong has helped our team increase our accuracy, keep better track of large pipelines, and close deals faster. It's a tool that I would REQUIRE for any future employer to have if they except to attract great sales talent.

I use Gong to review intro calls and demo calls. It is widely beneficial for me to go back and listen but also see the text that has been attached to review key parts of the discussion which gives me a better understanding of the convo the 2nd time around. I am allowed to hear things I might have missed the first time which helps me close more deals a I'm paying attention and listening the customer outside of the call.

I'm a big fan of Gong. I love that I can have saved searches for recordings of specific types of calls. The transcription function is fantastic so you can quickly ctrl + f any relevant piece you're looking for from past calls. I think the transcription function could be improved a bit on the accuracy or making note of relevant company/industry-specific terms being used by the customer org but a small margin of error with transcription technology is more than understandable. The segmentation of the call into different people speaking and overall content categories are fantastic. In general, this is an awesome tool and I highly recommend it.

  • The transcription function is fantastic so you can quickly ctrl + F any relevant info you're looking for without having to listen to the entire call
  • The categorization within the call into different speakers or content categories is fantastic
  • I think the transcription tool could use a little tweaking or at least enabling a feature for company/industry-specific terms or acronyms so they would be better transcribed

  • Saves huge amounts of time of not having to watch through the call to get the relevant info
  • Great to learn from others' calls to refine messaging, value prop, and delivery
  • Being able to see when the prospects are speaking makes it easy to build follow up messaging around the things they've said verbatim
