We use AdWords for general advertising and for automated product catalog (20,000+ products) ads. It is used to target product ads and generate specific and general purpose web traffic.
  • Geographic targeting combined with keyword targeting is straight forward.
  • Budget management and scheduling is available.
  • Integration with Google Analytics provides a mechanism for ROI monitoring.
  • It can be difficult to compete with high budget advertisers in a cost effective manner.
  • Remarketing APIs can be difficult to integrate into third party e-commerce platforms.
AdWords is not useful for highly targeted low budget applications.
  • Measurable increase in sales.
  • Good customer acquisition tool.
  • Time consuming to effectively monitor and manage.
  • Facebook Ads
Better conversion rate than Facebook, but lower click through.

Good support from the AdWords team, and the community.
Yes
Yes, it was resolved for me and others.
Product catalog items were being incorrectly identified by automated algorithms as adult audience only. Google support manually corrected 100s of items over and over again until defect was fixed.

We use Google Adwords to market our own business, and to help our clients across many industries generate leads and grow their business.
  • Target specific niches in targeted regions
  • Research and select appropriate keywords
  • Track and analyze the results of your campaigns
  • Expand your customer touch points with remarketing to existing site visitors
  • Better updates are needed when new product features are launched, but considering the volume of new features that are always being added to stay a leader in marketing, they do a fairly good job at keeping you updated.
When a client is looking to generate leads from the internet we have found that Adwords is typically the best place to start.
  • We saw an increase in leads and improvement in the quality of leads, unfortunately we cannot share lead generation data but the increases are quite significant.
We have always had a good experience with using AdWords.

We were having issues with a client account where the ads were not being displayed and they helped trouble shoot it to make sure that the system worked properly. The issue was escalated and solved in a very timely fashion.
