A few years ago I tested a few solutions as I sought a place to host my company's website. I wanted something easily scalable and ubiquitous that didn't require any technical gymnastics to set up or maintain. I eventually decided upon Google Cloud CDN. It ticked all my needs and I was also able to test it for free.
  • Scalable
  • I can use the most popular content deliver software, e.g WordPress.
  • Some users complain that pricing is challenging, I don't think so.
I use WordPress and I believe Google Cloud CDN is the best solution for WordPress hosting.
  • Saves me money. Google platform is very affordable and even has a free package that you can use for testing.
Google CDN was easier to set up and use. Very flexible and exceptionally affordable for my testing.
I didn't have the need to use support from Google when I was either testing or setting up my website. Information was easily found by searching online if I needed to, and the options that I needed to install or enable were there on the setup page. Honestly, I was a former systems administrator so most of this stuff is not challenging for me.

We use Google Cloud CDN or content delivery network for CDN needs of our organisational content. It's being used to serve the static content from internet for faster loading of content to portal users and to load css and java scripts as static content over the CDN. It's one of the best to spread the static content over the internet.
  • It is one of the best CDN in the market as it has google at its back, it has the highest uptime.
  • This really helps us to reduce the loading time of content as well as site, blog or portal.
  • It needs very much learning experience. Beginners have to learn so much before actually setting it up.
  • Not so good for small organisations as the pricing is higher than other options.
Google Cloud CDN is one of the best suited tools to serve images, css, java scripts and other static contents. We also use it as the server of static contents in promotional emails. It is one of the best uses for Google Cloud CDN as it reduces the loading time of the content of emails or sites.
  • Reduced the portal loading time saves time.
  • Promotional mails opens in few seconds when clicked, generates a little bit of confidence in the end users.
Fastly was having minimum spend system, when we started using it, and the pricing structure didn't fit our budget, so we decided to change the provider. Also, compared to Google Cloud CDN it was a little bit difficult to set up and use for beginners.
As I said earlier, as we are already the Google Cloud Services user, Google Cloud CDN has some similarities in the UI and use cases, it's not so difficult to set up for us. Even after that there are 1000's of articles and blogs over the internet and Google documentation for most of the use cases and requirements.
