I use it to save forms and upload records.
  • Easy to use
  • Accessable
  • Free
  • Save a doc
It is great for saving things. It is not terrible but it does not save Word documents as Word. You have to upload them again or use a Google doc. You lose functionality when you convert. Overall it is easy to use and the best thing is that the program is absolutely free

We use Google Drive for short-term sharing of files that are too large to send via email or WhatsApp. We also use the platform for storing business files to be accessed by multiple remote users. We even use Google Drive to provide uploading functionality to clients and other 3rd parties from whom we require files that are too large to send via email or WhatsApp.
  • File viewing, whether PDF, sound or video files
  • Access control from view-only to edit rights
  • Synchronisation with local folders
  • More flexibility of choosing an account on which storage space is used.
  • Access control could be more intuitive especially when adding new files to an already shared folder.
  • Synchronising local folders was tricky to first set up
For personal and business use, Google Drive is super flexible and accessible. Even if you upgrade to a paid tier, the cost is very reasonable. Perfect for sharing files, storing files in the cloud for backup purposes and collaboration between different users, even if the users are geographically far apart.

We use Google Drive [for] sharing large files like PDF files, photos, and videos. Those files that we cannot send via email, we use Google Drive to send or receive it. It is easy to use by just using the link of our Google Drive account the receiver can access it. It is also safe by giving permission before the other party can access your files.
  • Large capacity of storage
  • Easy to use
  • Convenient way of sending large files
  • Additional free storage
This is best suited in sending files like photos, videos, pdf files, and PowerPoint files. All we need to do is to save it on Google Drive and send the link to the receiver via email and they can receive the files already. Since email has a limit of capacity in attaching files Google Drive [addresses] this problem.

I am using it in the sales department. It is very useful to store important data. In my Real Estate company I need to maintain my clients' important data. It is very important for me to keep all the property related documents securely. So I manage all my clients' property documents in Google Drive. It is very easy and systematic to keep those documents in Google Drive.
  • It is a virtual storage space. So I can access it anywhere and at any time.
  • It has the capacity to store large data.
  • It helps to share data with my people by a link only.
  • Its criteria of collecting personal information for streamlining better user experience.
  • It's good to have one account for using multiple products of Google but at the same time it's risky also. If I compromised that account, I'd be compromising my Google Drive data also.
  • They should give more space. 15GB is too little when it is associated with a Gmail account also.
It is well suited when I travel. I don't need to keep any physical drive to carry my data or important documents. I can access my documents anywhere and at anytime. I access everything in my smartphone only.

Google Drive is a really easy tool to use thanks to the Google ecosystem. Synchronization is very fast and effective. The basic version provides you with 15 GB, being the provider of this type of solution that gives you more storage in the free version. Their payment plans are very adaptable. Today it is one of the most used cloud-based tools.
  • Synchronization
  • speed
  • plans
  • Could improve speed
I usually recommend Google Drive for cloud storage to always have a backup copy of your files and above all so that your work is always available anywhere. Although there are two other tools that from my point of view are currently rivaling Google Drive, I usually recommend their use, if it is true that there is a similar tool but it is faster.

Google Drive is the cloud storage solution that I am most familiar with and most impressed with. I have used Google Drive at several organizations and use it exclusively for my home inspection business. We back up every inspection, including over 500 photos, for every inspection. We had never had an issue when we tried to access the data stored on Google Drive.
  • Access is very Dependable.
  • Folder options are clear and straightforward.
  • Google Drive App works well with my iPhone.
  • Can not copy and paste Folders containing subfolders.
  • Load times can be extensive.
In my experience, Google Drive is one of the most intuitive and inexpensive cloud storage options available today. The pricing is more than fair, considering the amount of storage that is offered in the different packages. The mobile app works well with my iPhone, and I am comfortable that my data is safe and secure, with the storage solution being a Google product. The only problem I have encountered, and perhaps I am doing something wrong, but I can not copy and paste folders that contain subfolders.

It is considered one of the most important cloud storage outlets over the Internet, as it allows you to store 15 GB for free, which is good in that, and it is also possible to buy a larger version, fast, light, and smooth in dealing, and also good at linking files in all formats for downloading to others. I also liked it because I link important files to it through email and mobile. It is good and irreplaceable.
  • Link my important files to it by sending a copy of important mail and files to it.
  • Connect to a mobile phone and store any important photos or files.
  • Reduce the price to buy more space.
  • I hope to add an internal file that we can work with with a password.
For my part, I use it and I recommend it to everyone, and as an experiment, the free 15 GB space is enough to try and take advantage of it, and it is really great.

Google Drive is one of the tools we use to share files and projects easily. I use it for a project storage drive for quick access to the files. I like the security of it, the ease of use, and the options that come with it. My staff finds access to it from the top toolbar, we have macs, which makes it fast access. For my clients that we do retouching for it is an easy way to securely deliver and retrieve their images.
  • File sharing both on local computers and from clients.
  • Such easy access from the top tool bar on our Mac.
  • I like the security of it.
  • Google Drive fits nicely into our Google suite of services.
  • So far we have not found an issue we would like fixed or an idea to be implemented.
For us, it is an effective file-sharing tool and an inexpensive storage space. I am a photographer so security and ease of use in my work flow is critical, Google Drive delivers on that need. Being able to share files from clients in distant cities helps drive my bottom line. When I travel, this is the preferred upload site. I can be working on location, upload images for office staff to work with and pass on. It is a seamless process for us.

Google Drive is our main cloud storage tool at Lumen Studio. It addresses the availability of footage, resources and digital assets for creative projects. Enhances the organization remote capabilities and makes the collaboration with international clients/freelancers possible. The scope of our use is it works as a secondary storage besides our main physical one and we currently use the 2+TB service.
  • 24 hour availability
  • layout of information easy to navigate
  • multiple collaborators
  • UI friendly, simple and clean
  • different plans of storage according to company/personal needs
  • organizing collaborators can be cumbersome
  • permissions and privacy managing
  • limited file formats to check files in the cloud/explorer directly
  • issues with multiple downloads
Drive works wonders as a cloud storage tool for simple to medium complex projects. It allows any digital operation to grow remote and adds remote capabilities to collaborating on digital projects. For a small-medium operation, is an affordable option only bested by a NAS or any other kind of physical on-site storage solution. UI/UX is easy to understand and there's a very short learning curve to it. For bigger or multi-format operations where complex software files are to be used, I'd advise exploring more specific options.

We collect meeting notes, write new blog entries, communicate information with clients, and more using Google Drive. Most of our customers also favor Drive over other file storage solutions. There are several causes for this, but Google Drive is just quick, easy, and safe. Here are a few additional justifications for why you should use Drive if you don't already: Utilize a computer, tablet, or smartphone to access data. There are no lost copies or forgotten saves to be concerned about because everything automatically saves in the cloud. Google offers 15GB of storage at no cost, with additional space available on a monthly basis. Who sees or edits your documents is under your control. We are collaborating with others in real-time. Apps for Google Drive - Use apps to edit Drive and add signatures, charts, and forms.
  • Storage.
  • Quick Access.
  • Access Anywhere.
  • Easier User Interface.
  • File Size Limits.
  • Downloading and Uploading Speed.
Suppose you require quick access to files across multiple systems. Real-time collaboration on Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets. You don’t have to send ten different versions of the same file back and forth. One person can write a document in Los Angeles, and someone in Tokyo can be on at the same time and see their edits as they make them.

Google Drive is the platform for daily use. We use it to manage all our documents, images, and formats in the cloud. Essentially it is the platform to work online from the agency with clients. It allows us to save time with collaborative work in real time, in web writing, reports, and proposals to clients using various formats.
  • Collaborative work
  • Seo online writing
  • Collaborative reports
  • Follow-up of copies and ads arts.
  • Delete recent documents
  • Improve the desktop
  • More options for folder design and configuration
  • User interface
It is appropriate for use in digital marketing agencies inside social media marketing, copywriting, collaborative work, and graphic and web design.

Google Drive is an online briefcase where we store all the important files and folders. It is very easy to use. Is embedded in Gmail and is seperately accessible via our Android phones as well via a Gdrive App. It comes with a free space of abot 15 GB. For more space of course you can buy it however 15GB is a resonably good space for routine operational activities. Al our Google forms are by default saved in G drive and also the response to those forms via excel export. I think it is a great application.
  • Great Free Space of about 15GB
  • Easy user interface
  • Easily Accessible in form of a G Drive Mobile App in Android phones and in Gmail
  • Excellent for Google Forms as output and the forms are stored in G drive by default.
  • Negligible downtime. Always up and running.
  • More free space can be provided in view of market competition.
  • GDrive can come in more attractive user interface.
  • Gdrive needs to be marketed more aggressively for user awareness.
Google Drive for us has suited well, especially for storage solutions. It is a great source of safely storing your important files and folders online. Of course, there is a hesitation to save business-critical files in Google Drive due to fears of security or hacking. However, overall I would say Google Drive has remained relevant for a long period of time now. It reinvents itself from time to time.

Our company uses Google Drive to share files, that are too large to be shared via email, with the team. Moreover, Google Drive has been a very useful tool to save important files and data and can be accessed conveniently by anyone who has been authorized. Furthermore using Google Drive helps save the use of paper which can help save the environment.
  • Share files easily and conveniently
  • Ability to share files instantly
  • Updated in real-time
  • Very easy for beginners
  • Cannot be accessed offline
  • Could be more user-friendly
  • Should support more file types like TIFF, PSD etc.
Google Drive is a cloud based storage solution that helps in keeping and storing important data in one place and allows the user to access them anywhere in the world with ease on their laptop, desktop, tablet or a smartphone. While Google Drive has made it very easy to upload, share and access data easily, Google Drive does not have an extra layer of protection if someone else from the team gets a link to your files and could access them easily. Another big drawback of Google Drive is the need of internet. You must be connected to internet to access the files or share them.

I use google drive to save my work documents for the ease of access to view, edit or download the documents anytime, anywhere. It has been really helpful in saving personal and professional documents especially in the times that no one needs a hard copy and view of the soft copy works everywhere.
  • Saves any format of file
  • Pulls up list of recent documents
  • Lets you share document with other users
  • When a document is downloaded, the formatting isn't the same
  • Downloading ppts takes away the animations on every slide
As already mentioned I love the ease of access to view, edit or download your documents anytime. The functionality that I want to gear up is formatting issues when a file is downloaded, it doesn't stay intact as when the file was uploaded this is particularly for MS PowerPoint presentations where I end up loosing the formatting as well as animations on the slides.

Google Drive has allowed both myself and other colleagues of mine the ability to access documents conveniently and efficiently regardless of where we are working from. It also gives us the opportunity to work on projects as a collaboration and see each other's notes and edits in real time, which helps everyone in terms of project deadlines.
  • Collaborative workspace
  • Real-time revisions
  • Easily accessible regardless of location
  • Some of the features in the Google Slides can provide more creativity
  • Connection issues tend to happen from time to time
  • There are no other features I believe would need to be added to suit our organization's needs
During a time where many employees have switched their workspace to working from home, being able to access documents without using a vpn or encountering a document that's being edited by someone else, google drive has become a necessity. Our projects require a lot of collaboration and constant proofing, so being able to work alongside each other and see the revisions and edits as they happen has resolved many issues for us.

It is the main cloud storage location for the company. It solves communication problems, it's used as an information wall and also retains sensitive data managed by admin users for several accounts. The scope of use is wide; mechanics use it for installation guides storage, office use it for sensitive data retention, sells use it for customer personal information.
  • Sharing large files.
  • Organization and discretization of files.
  • Access control based on permission roles.
  • Easy visualization of content on multiple devices.
  • Fast content updates.
  • The app could implement a hierarchy based structure.
  • Quick notifications for permissions request could make everything easier.
  • Faster is always better. Rapid file transfers would be great.
Google Drive is great for storing personal data and sharing public information. It might suit a scenario where an individual needs to store in an organized way his/her identification credentials. Anyhow, if limited space is a problem, maybe an individual would prefer storing tons of large video files on a fast storage physical unit rather than google drive.

Google Drive is very helpful in storing and sharing all the official document files for free. There is no need to worry about document files being lost or stolen. Can be accessed at any time. It can be easily used on mobile and desktop. This saves time and can be used to do other work.
  • It can be used on mobile phones, desktops and tablets.
  • It has the option to access the files from anywhere.
  • Downloading and uploading takes time and needs some improvement.
  • The storage limit for files uploaded daily needs to be changed, as large files can be difficult to upload.
  • It requires a lot of network.
Its biggest advantage is that it can be used very easily and anyone with a Google account can use Google Drive. Business documents, photos, and videos can be uploaded and stored here for free. The ability to edit files uploaded to Google Drive is a great advantage. You get instant access to various suite editing tools, including Google Spreadsheets, Google Docs, and Google Slides.

Google Drive is one of the most user-friendly, feature-rich, and generous cloud storage and synchronization services available, with great productivity suite collaboration capabilities. Customers can backup any folder on their PC, and organizations can save space by not duplicating files on local storage. Storage upgrades are more reasonable with paid plans under the Google One brand than with many alternatives. Google Drive is extremely fantastic in terms of how it can help you store, back up, create, and even modify files, whether you operate alone or in a team.
  • Ample Cloud Storage
  • Simple Interface
  • Good Product Integration
  • It would be rather nice if its Cloud Storage would be larger
  • Support for other file formats such as .psd and TIFF
  • Improve video player capabilities
Microsoft OneDrive is Google Drive's main rival. Though there are a few variances, the services are nearly feature-parity. While Microsoft provides more robust productivity programs and greater sharing options for free users, Google provides more initial free storage. At this stage, your decision will be influenced by the environment you use: if you use Windows and Office, OneDrive is intimately integrated with those. If you're firmly invested in Google's ecosystem, Drive makes sense. Apple has also entered the file-syncing and cloud storage game with iCloud Drive, which also allows for collaborative online document editing. However, iCloud Drive is not as robust as Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive.

I have been using Google Drive for the sole purpose of uploading my work automatically to cloud and save it. With the new version of their windows desktop app, about 3 months ago, things started going wrong. The app started downloading all my files from the cloud to my desktop and messing up with my folder structures. As this is something that I do not want, I stopped syncing and contacted the Google One support. It has been more than 90 days and over the same ticket, support has not been able to do anything with my problem. It is not possible to revert the changes so hundreds of files that I do not want on my desktop are there. I have to spend a couple of hours to eliminate these files from my desktop. But the main problem is even I turn of "downloading" option on the app, it still downloads files and therefore I cannot sync anything. All my work is waiting to be uploaded to cloud for 90 days and I risk loosing the book that I am writing, the research I am doing and the video media I am producing. A cranky and buggy app and a support service which is not capable of solving issues in my experience. Avoid this service.
  • Nothing
  • Nothing
  • Nothing
  • Think about User Experience. When I switched to the new version of the app, I was asked some questions. I do not remember what they are, but clearly I do not want my cloud files to be downloaded automatically to my machine. Who wants that?!? Think about it? I want to save space so that's why I keep those files on the cloud only. But the app started downloading all of them.
  • Simplify Support so the same person(s) continue responding. Every reply of mine is responded by a different support person ( I guess, since I cannot see any name signatures) and they are completely lost about what is going on, or give generic answers. Really frustrating
  • Fix your app. It still downloads even I turn off the download checkbox. Do you want to drive me crazy, Google Drive?
With such an unintelligent service and bad customer support, I cannot think this service is good for anyone in my opinion. Again, why the app downloads files and folders without my permission, that should stay on Cloud, with my conscious decision? We users want to save our space on our machines by keeping some of the files on Cloud only. This app and service exterminates this basic purpose of using a such a service. Why I should use such a service then?

We are using Google Drive for files collaboration between all of our employees. We store important data usually in the form of excel sheets in which an employee can make changes according to his role. It has become an important file backup for our company using which we can store any crucial file from office location or while on the move or at the customer location.
  • Any user with access can store a file using different platforms like Android, IOS, Windows, or Ubuntu (Desktop version)
  • You can share files with any number of different users with different access rights or you can even keep it public by providing the access link and assign different rights for public access
  • You can open Excel/Word files using google software Sheets/Docs in the browser environment without having to install software like Microsoft Office etc on your Windows OS
  • Some users prefer having google software that can be installed on Windows which can open Word/Excel/PowerPoint files from Google Drive and with the same collaboration features offered on the browser versions
  • 15 Gb storage is not enough for free access which can be increased to at least 30 Gb
  • The UI of Google Drive for the browser can be changed to make it similar to the Desktop UX
As far as the current features being offered in the free version, it is probably the best option available as compared to other similar collaboration software. However, if your company has the capacity to pay for a collaboration software then there are other better options than the Paid version of Google Drive.

We use Google Drive to house the majority of our documents and excel spreadsheets. It is very useful for teamwork and collaborating for almost everything that we do. I mainly use the spreadsheets function as I think it is best for working simultaneously with others and it is a lot quicker than just having to send emails back and forth.
  • Amazing collaboration.
  • It's free.
  • Allows to not force us to purchase Microsoft Office 365.
  • It's free so I don't think they really need to do anything.
  • Could potentially integrate more options.
I think it is appropriate for anything that requires teamwork. You can also send attachments through it and it is well integrated with Gmail so all the things I use are in one easy place to access. We use it to track mountains of data and house a bunch of data. It is very easy to configure as well.

Google Drive is the central repository of documents for the entire company. This includes work-in-progress pieces, finished documents, and operations documents including legal contracts and financial documents. We also store media such as videos, webinar recordings, podcasts, and photos. Individual contributors also use Google Drive to store documents they need in their daily operation, as they see fit.
  • Accessibility from the Google ecosystem of apps
  • Speed
  • Good replacement of a shared drive
  • Search depends on how good the user organizes information
  • Sharing documents requires 4, 5 steps, it would be good to simplify
  • Desktop integrations are not good, see Dropbox for a better implementation
The pros of Google Drive are the storage size and speed, and the peace of mind that the data is secure and backed by a large reputable company. For massive text-based storage, the search capability seems a bit behind considering the power of Google search in other domains. The ability to find effectively the document you are looking for will largely depend on how good is the titling and folder structure inside Drive. It does particularly bad when multiple folders share the same names

Our organization has been using Google Drive for 3 years now and our teamwork has become easier than ever. All our members can edit, save and share the information whenever necessary that too in real-time. Well suited Accessing backed up documents online whenever necessary Conducting online quizzes for great teamwork especially during the pandemic Working together in a collaborative project. Less appropriate when you don't want a date stamp while making changes

You can also store something in Google Drive and then share it with someone who will be able to access the file straight from his Drive without using up his quota.
