I like being able to preview files within Google drive, without having to download a separate application. However, you can't edit files within google drive. You can edit only files that are created with other Google applications, like google docs. If you need to share files on google drive with another user that does not have a Gmail address that could be a problem. Sometimes, people are required to have a Gmail account in order to view or edit shared files.

Google Drive is a cloud based storage solution that helps in keeping and storing important data in one place and allows the user to access them anywhere in the world with ease on their laptop, desktop, tablet or a smartphone. While Google Drive has made it very easy to upload, share and access data easily, Google Drive does not have an extra layer of protection if someone else from the team gets a link to your files and could access them easily. Another big drawback of Google Drive is the need of internet. You must be connected to internet to access the files or share them.

As already mentioned I love the ease of access to view, edit or download your documents anytime. The functionality that I want to gear up is formatting issues when a file is downloaded, it doesn't stay intact as when the file was uploaded this is particularly for MS PowerPoint presentations where I end up loosing the formatting as well as animations on the slides.

For personal and business use, Google Drive is super flexible and accessible. Even if you upgrade to a paid tier, the cost is very reasonable. Perfect for sharing files, storing files in the cloud for backup purposes and collaboration between different users, even if the users are geographically far apart.

Google Drive is fantastic for the remote or hybrid workplace, where you do not always have quick and easy access to the network. Having to log in via VPN and dual-factor authentication is burdensome, especially when you just need a quick file so Google Drive helps us keep frequently used files readily accessible.

Google Drive is a fantastic tool for storing personal content and communicating public data. It might be useful in a situation when a person has to keep track of his or her identifying credentials. In any case, if space is an issue, a person may want to store a big number of huge video files on a fast storage hardware device rather than using Google Drive.

During a time where many employees have switched their workspace to working from home, being able to access documents without using a vpn or encountering a document that's being edited by someone else, google drive has become a necessity. Our projects require a lot of collaboration and constant proofing, so being able to work alongside each other and see the revisions and edits as they happen has resolved many issues for us.

It's very user-friendly, users can quickly learn to share, and save their documents. Also one can manage their documents as they manage them on their hard drives. Add or remove the shared users easily, also uploading and deletion of files are easy. It has a trash facility where it can store the deleted items like recycle bin on the computer.

Google Drive is great for storing personal data and sharing public information. It might suit a scenario where an individual needs to store in an organized way his/her identification credentials. Anyhow, if limited space is a problem, maybe an individual would prefer storing tons of large video files on a fast storage physical unit rather than google drive.

Well suited based on my below experiences 1. Excellent user interface 2. Affordable and user-friendly 3. recognize character very fast 4. it is compatible with Microsoft 5. Free storage up to 15GB 6. Easy sharing and open discussion possible Below are the scenario where it is less appropriate: 1. Downloading and uploading speed becomes very irritating sometimes 2. Daily file upload size limit

Google drive is suitable software, especially for mobile users for the storage of all documents and other mobile data and it's easy to share with others as well anyone from the team can update it without having access to specific admin but sometimes it could create a mess or worst situation as well.

It is incredibly user-friendly, which is why I would suggest it to my friends and coworkers. If someone wishes to share files anonymously over the internet with anyone they know, they can use Google Drive, which is simple to use and free up to a specific storage limit.

offline scenarios is excellent for people are travelling and they may not find internet to use the drive.

Its biggest advantage is that it can be used very easily and anyone with a Google account can use Google Drive. Business documents, photos, and videos can be uploaded and stored here for free. The ability to edit files uploaded to Google Drive is a great advantage. You get instant access to various suite editing tools, including Google Spreadsheets, Google Docs, and Google Slides.

Microsoft OneDrive is Google Drive's main rival. Though there are a few variances, the services are nearly feature-parity. While Microsoft provides more robust productivity programs and greater sharing options for free users, Google provides more initial free storage. At this stage, your decision will be influenced by the environment you use: if you use Windows and Office, OneDrive is intimately integrated with those. If you're firmly invested in Google's ecosystem, Drive makes sense. Apple has also entered the file-syncing and cloud storage game with iCloud Drive, which also allows for collaborative online document editing. However, iCloud Drive is not as robust as Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive.

Google Drive is really outstanding in terms of collaboration. If with you need to get work done with a big or small team and need to share files and work on them with other people at the same time, Google Drive is the right choice for you. In the other hand, if you want a system just for file storage and need good integration or synchronization with Microsoft tools or with Linux operational systems, you probably have better options in the market.

With such an unintelligent service and bad customer support, I cannot think this service is good for anyone in my opinion. Again, why the app downloads files and folders without my permission, that should stay on Cloud, with my conscious decision? We users want to save our space on our machines by keeping some of the files on Cloud only. This app and service exterminates this basic purpose of using a such a service. Why I should use such a service then?

It's great for sharing content and soliciting feedback. A team of people can simultaneously look at my document and add notes.

Not great for heavily formatting documents. I use a technical writing software, Madcap Flare, to write my documents. I would love it if I could do the same writing in Google Drive. But alas, it's not built for that.

As far as the current features being offered in the free version, it is probably the best option available as compared to other similar collaboration software. However, if your company has the capacity to pay for a collaboration software then there are other better options than the Paid version of Google Drive.

I think it is appropriate for anything that requires teamwork. You can also send attachments through it and it is well integrated with Gmail so all the things I use are in one easy place to access. We use it to track mountains of data and house a bunch of data. It is very easy to configure as well.

If you are not a Microsoft shop, then Google drive is probably the best solution to store, share, and track corporate documents. Most of your users will be familiar with using the tool personally, very easy to add a corporate layer and use the tool professionally. IT is a very flexible tool, can accommodate almost all use cases and workflows. Can be used collaboratively with partners, customers, and across your business.

If you are using a laptop or desktop, Drive is a very easy-to-use versatile tool. From uploading to sharing and viewing, the whole process is seamless and in one place. The mobile user experience is not as smooth. My field team uses the WPS office to get out Google's requirement of downloading four different apps for four different tasks. Google should bring their desktop experience to mobile as well. Sad thing is, it was the same before.
