Our company uses Google Maps API across our whole organization. We do appointment setting and lead generation for businesses across the U.S., and quite often, a client has a large geographical area they are targeting. So in each of our databases, we have a link for Google Map API so that they can schedule appointments in the same area on the same day. This is good for our clients, so they don't have to travel a long distance back and forth between their appointments.
  • It allows us to schedule appointments in the same area on the same day.
  • It enables me to recommend geographical areas to target for our clients.
  • I would like more information about population in a particular area.
We are a call center that does appointment setting for businesses across the U.S. Quite often, and we have a client with an extensive geographical area they are targeting, sometimes even across multiple states. Our callers can quickly search the area so that they schedule appointments on the same day in the same area. Very important to our clients as they get distraught when we send them to an appointment 2 hours away and then another appointment back to where they came from and then another appointment in the middle of the two, and the client is driving back and forth. Not Good! I do not have a scenario where it did not work for what I needed it for.
  • We use it to send a map with our appointment notice to our clients. We can customize it, so our clients are very appreciative and feel we go the extra mile.
  • I love to be able to use the satellite feature. This has worked well for my commercial roofing accounts, where the prospect is not sure what type of roof they have. We can use the map and see it for ourselves. Very Cool.
Other map programs do not seem to be very accurate with road closures, and traffic barriers like Google Maps API do. Its been a while since I tried the others, but when I did, they were not able to do the satellite views or draw like a radius around an area and print. I have found that pretty much anything. Google Maps API is easier to use than others on the market.
It does everything I need it to do and hasn't let me down yet. It has been a lifesaver for my roofing accounts. Most of my clients for the roofing belong to an Amish community with no computers and so forth. So being able to search the maps and look at the rooftops is imperative for those campaigns.
