Google Hangouts is used as a video conferencing application in our company since after the pandemic started. As our offices were forced to close for offline work, the members of the company decided to move to Google Hangouts/Google Meet for the meetings with our clients. We usually talk with our clients and peers using the application.
  • Easy to use
  • Bug friendly
  • Good Screen Sharing capablity
  • Very good video quality
  • Inviting members in the meeting
  • Live Polling in the meeting
  • Document Sharing
Google Hangouts Meet is the perfect application to use when you have a low budget for video conferences or company meetings as the application is itself free of cost to use. The add-on google calendar also helps to arrange the meetings. Further, it is very convenient to conduct online classes for school or college-going students too.

  • The meeting timings have significantly reduced because of more work in google meet
  • Co-workers are more engaged among themselves with easy to use application
  • Higher Profit Margin after upgradation to google hangouts meet
Webex Meetings has a very old UI and also has connectivity issues most of the time. Google Hangouts Meet is free of cost and on the other hand, Webex Meetings are paid and do not offer much in return. Further, it also does not have such features as google hangouts meet.

  • Prior Experience with the Product
We have chosen Google Hangouts meet because it is free of cost for usual use. The product features are more than what we need usually for the meetings. My prior experience with the application has also been good and hence that becomes one of the features behind choosing the google hangouts meet.
I would first go with what most of the people in their businesses use for their meetings. Then I would see what all is the difference between the features between the software. Further, I would see what is the price difference between all the software. And lastly, I would also see what amount of network usage does each application has.
I have used Microsoft Teams, zoom, and also cisco Webex other than the google meet. But after using all of this software I have come to the conclusion that google hangouts meet is the easiest software out there to use. It can be used by professionals who even are not tech-savvy.
  • Easy to join and leave
  • Chat feature
  • Video sharing
  • Inviting Members
  • Sharing documents
  • Live Polling
Yes
It works very well and does all the work that the web version does.
