I use Google Tasks for keeping track of my personal tasks. As an organizational tool used in collaboration with other team members it does not work very well because it is too individual and not sophisticated enough. (Which is exactly how I want it for keeping track of my personal tasks.) A more complex project management tool like ClickUp is better for group task creation and management. I see other members within our team also using Google Tasks for their own personal task creation and management.
  • Simplicity
  • Integration with phones and other Google apps
  • Tactile feedback for checking off tasks
  • Keeping a history of past tasks/ adding details to existing tasks
  • No dedicated website, must be accessed through locations like Gmail's sidebar
  • The phone widget is buggy on certain phone models such as the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Pro

Google Tasks allows our team to manage, capture, and edit our tasks. With to-dos at the ready, we are able to be productive throughout the day. The Google Task mobile app allows you to sync tasks across all your devices too. Integrations with Gmail and Google Calendar help you get tasks done even faster!
  • Syncs with other devices
  • Accessible anywhere you can sign in with Google
  • Clear, organized interface
  • It doesn't let you tag others or share lists like other to-do apps
  • It doesn't have a stand-alone web app
  • It is not convenient to work offline
Google Tasks organizes tasks, projects, and activities in a simple and efficient way. With reminders of to-dos, Google Tasks helps us manage our time well. The ability to create tasks directly from an email in Gmail and view tasks in the side panel couldn't be more convenient! In an industry with more projects than we can manage at times, Google Tasks keeps everything in order.

The most crucial part of maintaining daily checklists and prioritizing tasks is Google Tasks, which is widely used by most teams within the organization. Managing capacity and ensuring that everyone has sufficient work for the day without overloading members of the team is crucial for team management. Thanks to its automatic synchronization with our email, we can save tasks automatically and be sure that nothing gets missed.
  • Auto sync with Gmail.
  • Easy accessibility on multiple devices.
  • Free to use: Come as a part of GSuite.
  • Syncing items/tasks from another email client is not possible.
In small organizations or on a personal level, Google tasks is an immediate solution when it comes to managing personal to-do lists or tracking colleagues' tasks as well. GSuite makes the tool/option easy to integrate with other Google tools because it is included as a part of the suite. Auto-synching your calendar and email help reduce the time spent on them.

Before having some more complex and complete project and activity management tools, we used Google Tasks to create activity control lists because we used Google's G Suite and from this integration, it was easy to access and manage. The software has been used throughout our headquarters and was a perfect way for us at IT to checklist after completing the tasks as a way to check and evaluate as a productivity tool. It is a relatively simple software but it collaborates in analyzing and optimizing the progress of daily, weekly and monthly activities and is trusted by the Google brand.
  • Google Tasks has Gmail and calendar integration.
  • Possibility to create to-do lists that can be shared with other colleagues.
  • Visual highlight for overdue tasks.
  • Easy to create to-do lists.
  • Possibility to create reminders and notifications.
  • There is more customization options in the software.
  • Very simple interface.
Google Tasks is a recommended tool that contributed to the time we used to keep activities organized and planned from checklists performed every day, reminders and notifications and sharing tasks with other colleagues. The department had greater productivity in its tasks during this period. With the integration with G Suite, Gmail and calendar made the work even easier as it allowed to use the tool on any device such as notebook, smartphone, tablet, Mac.

My team uses Google Tasks to schedule their tasks and plan them as per the priority. We can add sub-tasks as well and add any notes which are required for that task. It just syncs up with your calendar and the best is you can add your friend's calendar too. It is helping our team to schedule the tasks and have a deadline on them. Also, a good thing it all comes up in the Google suite package.
  • Easy to use
  • Create Tasks
  • Free version has alot of functionalities
  • Auto Sync with Email
  • Task Hiding feature should be added
  • UI can be more interactive
  • Difficult to sync with Outlook, Thunderbird etc
Google Tasks plays a pretty well role in my day-to-day life. I am very much used to it, scheduling my tasks so that I remember what to do next. A lot of features are provided in the free version of Google Tasks. But UI can be improved and built more user-friendly. Easy to do list added a plus point to it.

We as a digital team are using Google Tasks a lot to maintain our daily tasks and to prioritize and track them properly. The best thing about this is its tight integration with Gmail. It helps us to put it on our to-do list so the team would not miss something really important. It also [allows] the team to track our campaigns and prioritize them based on their go-live dates. Also it is a part of Google Suite (G-Suite) so it has an immediate syncing with other Google tools like Google Drive.
  • Easy to use
  • Free of cost
  • Available on all platforms/App
  • Integration with mailbox
  • No integration with other apps
Possibly a great tool if your official work is dependent/ linked on Gmail. However, if you are using some other email client then would be a bit difficult to sync everything on Google Tasks from them. It is a well-suited tool with a bit of effort to put everything in the tasks bar. Once added then it is available for all the team to track it on a place and prioritize the stuff.

Google Task has solved the challenge we had of keeping track of tasks. It has enabled us to be on top of everything that is required to be done. We are able to design a to-do list of our daily, weekly, and monthly tasks. It is even more fun than we can add detailed notes under each task and set up reminders so that we don't find ourselves missing deadlines.
  • Google Tasks is easily accessible via Gmail.
  • We can organize tasks efficiently using sub-tasks and Task list options.
  • It is effective task management for managing tasks in one place.
  • I love that i don't have to switch windows to use Google Calendar as Google Tasks integrates with it seamless providing a good user experience.
  • We faced poor customer support. No response was provided when we contacted them.
Managing tasks manually with using of sticky notes on the desk is eliminated with using Google Tasks. It provides organizations with anything they need to create an effective to-do list. It is designed to meet all the the complicated work projects. It is lightweight but does not have advanced integration, features and functionality that other project management tool have.

We used Google Tasks to keep track of all upcoming to dos and any other random ideas across people. We wanted to cut down on emails and it fulfilled its job, however we were not very fond of the set up for our purposes. We did switch platforms since then, but still use a lot of the other google tools.
  • Great integrated with other google products.
  • Easily accessible.
  • Works great in a team.
  • Different layout options.
  • More features in the tasks directly without switching platforms.
If other google products are already in use, it is very easy to get into Google Tasks as well and everybody probably has a google account, hence, does not need another account as well. It is helpful for simple to do lists, we would not recommend for larger project planning.

Google Tasks is the kind of tool that everyone has always needed but didn't know.
When we start using it, it became essential.
It increases team productivity when we can better find and integrate our calendars, meetings, emails.
If I associate a task with an email, or a meeting, at the time of my meeting I can quickly find the subject, the links, and the necessary files.
  • Integration with other Google tools.
  • Google Tasks allows you to create lists associated with calendars.
  • Google Tasks allows you to create subtasks
  • To have sticky notes.
  • There is no online synchronization between web and app version.
  • The search features are bad.
It is an excellent productivity support tool and an excellent resource for remote work. I think it's recommended for companies that have agile teams and that need quick communication. The organization of tasks becomes easier and more intuitive. Allows you to insert into your activities some actions that are personal/ familiar. But it costs a little bit if you are going to use it outside the professional environment.

Google Tasks is very convenient to make life easy with the sets of reminders to make your day-to-day work efficient. It is easy to create the task and shall we add in the Gmail, Calendar, Google drive etc. It comes under the package of Google suites as well.
  • Create a task in Gmail
  • Save your email as a task in Google sheets
  • Organized the task in list as well
  • The layout need to be more efficient
  • Task hiding feature need to be add
Google Tasks is well suited for professional as well as personal use. It is very easy to configure and used as required. We will recommend for the company as a start-up to use Google Tasks for managing the small level of a team efficiently and effectively without missing any call, email etc.

Google Tasks helps me manage, capture, and edit my tasks [which] sync across my laptop and phone, which is very useful in meetings. It helps me stay on track with due dates and notifications and since it is integrated with the rest of the G-Suite, its easy to access from Gmail as well.
  • Create Tasks straight from Gmail
  • Integrated well with G-Suite
  • Quickly capture tasks anywhere
  • It may take some time & adjustments to build a workflow that covers your specific needs.
  • Need a feature to hide tasks that are weeks or even months ahead into the future.
  • Missing a full tab view where you can see all your different lists of tasks.
Great to take quick notes during meetings. Along with being a good planner app, it offers a clean list of tasks from bottom left which looks great. It is also useful when using Google Calendar. I am a list person so I rely on this app. It is quick and easy to use and I never have to worry about losing a paper list.

For increased productivity it is important to have a to-do list. In our organization, we have embraced using Google Tasks to follow up on all our work activities on a daily basis. It is so simple to use and is accessible over multiple devices. With Google Tasks, I can add multiple lists, store email links, create sub-tasks, create habits, and set up reminders. It is a great tool to use.
  • Effortless G-Suite integration.
  • Easy to use with no much training required.
  • It is powerful and boosts productivity.
  • It is not as customizable as other programs.
  • Poor client support services.
Google Tasks has helped us stay on top of our tasks and more organized than before we adopted it. Effortless integration with G-Suite has helped us organize our tasks in a more easy and intuitive way.

Google Tasks is utilized by all of our employees through our Google Suite of services. it is seamlessly integrated with many Google products, such as: Gmail, Google Calendar, etc. Although employees and I rarely use it as a stand-alone app, the ability to easily create and manage tasks and to-do lists directly within the Google ecosystem makes it widely used even if not widely counted on as the best or complete option.
  • Seamless GSuite integration
  • Simple, easy to use, not too complicated or too much going on
  • Ability to directly utilize within apps where tasks are most likely to be created (email, calendar, etc.)
  • Limited in scope and customization
  • Not really a great stand-alone app for use with ioS so lack of integration with iphone makes it clunky and not very often used when not as desktop
  • Support and helpdesk very limited like many of Google products
Google Tasks is perfect for jotting down quick reminders and deliverables when reading through emails or creating calendar events. Because it can be found directly within those apps in a sidebar, it is easy to directly create to-do lists and items from an actual email or event reminder. This makes it an easy to use application though when it comes to tracking and differentiating longer-term and more complex tasks, it is not capable of being used in a more rigorous, robust, and collaborative manner.

Google Tasks is a fantastic tool that enables the user to make lists of items or tasks that need to be accomplished with the ability to cross them off when they are done. You can create multiple lists, and corresponding tasks that you use, making it an excellent time management and calendar review tool. It makes it way easier to stay on top or projects and tasks in a clean and concise manner.
  • Organization
  • Simplicity of use
  • Clean layout and visuals
  • Aesthetically pleasing
  • Integrating with other applications
  • Better synchronization across devices
  • Reviewal of past lists
Using sticky/ paper notes has always been a go to method for me to keep on top of important tasks, however I was always finding myself getting lost across the sea of stickies on my desk. Google Tasks is an all-in-one list maker and task organizer, and pairs up nicely with my Gmail and Calendar. I’ve found myself a lot more organized with less clutter on my desk. The tool could be better if it had a reminder function, but that might also ruin the simplicity of the tool.

My company uses Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), and Google Tasks is built into my Google Account. Initially, it seemed like the perfect, "first-party" platform for task management with tight integrations to Gmail and Google Calendar.
  • Tight integration with Gmail.
  • First-party integration with Google Calendar.
  • Simple and straightforward interface.
  • Lack of power user features and customizations for GTD fanatics.
  • Lack of well-designed native iPhone/Mac apps.
  • Works best only if you use Gmail and Google Calendar in a browser.
Google Tasks is… fine. But there are so many better options. I switched to a paid Todoist subscription even though I already had Google Tasks included with my Google Workspace subscription.

On the daily Tasks is used to stay organized on daily to-dos that pertain to all kinds of workloads. We lean on the service to plan our day and prioritize the work that needs to get done. By using Tasks we are able to structure our day-to-day and ensure we're being productive with our time and energy. Without Tasks, we'd be more prone to wasting valuable time.
  • Time management: Being automatically reminded of recurring tasks means we are less likely to forget.
  • Ensuring project dependencies are noted and addressed.
  • Task nesting: We can build a task tree easily and view it from within most of Google's apps.
  • Reminders: Right now one must manually check their tasks pane to see what needs to be done. When things get busy we may forget to check this.
  • Linking to docs inside Drive would be much appreciated as we often have to perform updates inside project-related files.
  • Task sharing is nonexistent. It would be good if we can collaborate with others on larger tasks and see what still needs to be done in the context of larger projects.
Tasks are great if you're needing a tool to keep track of what you need to get done and when. Being able to create task lists and create sub-tasks gives enough flexibility to organize your day. The ability to access the tasks pane from almost any Google app is very handy since it means one doesn't have to leave what they are doing just to add an item or check off a completed task.

We use Google Tasks to keep to-dos organized and always know that we are leaving nothing behind. From the moment an email arrives with a requirement that we must solve, we create a task that helps us to be clear about the pending work. The ease of its integration with Google products is essential when using it since we are a fan of all the products that Google has.
  • It is very comfortable to use.
  • Its integration with Google products.
  • Very easy to use.
  • Customize the layout.
  • Improve search options.
  • Improved ability to move tasks from one list to another.
For us, it is highly recommended because, being from Google, it is synonymous with quality and above all with integration with the rest of the applications that we use in our day-to-day. How to integrate tasks with Google Calendar for example. In addition, you can always import or export data from other applications.

We encourage using Google Tasks for the small, bite-sized, daily tasks of employees. Since it is a to-do list essentially, there's nothing fancy in terms of usages. Employees write down what they need to do and strike out what they have accomplished.
The tasks are usually a drill-down from the organizational project management software, but they are not automated and users fill them out themselves. The filling out part is where the software shines, as there are many ways to easily create a Google Task from almost any software you use, whether it's from an email, project management app, or even a voice assistant.
  • No nonsense task management and control
  • Task creation from a wide variety of apps
  • Mobile access
  • Statistics and reporting
  • Shared tasks
If you are looking for the simplest, most versatile, cloud-based task management system - Google Tasks is perfect. For simple requirements - it is very well suited.
If you are looking for a complex task management system, with basic needs around co-working, control, reporting, and other complex usages of task-based activities, a to-do list is definitely lacking. My recommendation would be more towards project management than a simple to-do list like Google Tasks.

Google Tasks is used by collaborators on research projects to assign work to each member. For instance, we recently worked on a paper where the lead author would assign each person tasks day-to-day as we worked on the revise and resubmit version. This "task" would tag us and send us an email alert to let us know, which was very helpful as I worked on other things until a new task came in. I also really appreciated the integration across other Google products like Docs and Sheets.
  • Alert users to a new task
  • Makes it very easy to assign if someone else has a Gmail account
  • Free!
  • Can be hard to find your tasks in a shared doc if many others have been also assigned tasks
I haven't used Google Tasks for my personal tasks, so I can't speak to that. But I find it super useful for teamwork, particularly where there is a clear leader to delegate the work.

I am a regular user of Google Tasks. Most of the students also use this to-do app. Nowadays, everyone is obsessed with productivity. Same for me and other students. One day I stumbled across Google Tasks, and it literally changed my life.

Here are the advantages of Google Tasks compared to other to-do apps-
1. It's a no nonsense, simple app. Its best part is its simplicity itself. Anyone new to to-do list can easily start using this app to get more productive.
2. It is synced with Gmail and Google Drive.
3. I can pick up tasks directly from Gmail within emails.
4. There is almost minimal friction to enter tasks in Google Tasks. It works well with leading productivity systems like GTD and so on.
5. Tasks automatically gets placed in the Google Calendar, which is great.
6. The app can also send notification for time-sensitive tasks, which work flawlessly.
7. The tasks can be beautifully divided into sub-categories.
8. It's a part of the G-Suite, another great part.
9. The best part, it's completely free. Most of the apps in this category are either fully paid, or provide a free trial for a short period of time or are free with limited features, supported by ads. But, this is not the case with Google Tasks. It's FREE, it does not host any kind of ads, nor any hidden payment system.
10. Not so important, but still worth a point, there is support of dark mode.
  • The best part, Google Tasks is FREE. No paywall, no ads. Just pure productivity. I was looking for some task-management app which is free, since it was difficult to get a paid one. I found that this was the perfect solution for me.
  • It's deeply integrated with other Google services like Gmail and Calendar. It can pick tasks with Gmail from emails, in the form of suggestions. It's up to you, completely. The tasks will appear in your calendar automatically, if it's time or date specific.
  • It's simple and hassle free to insert tasks and complete them. The app loads fast and hardly faces any crash. I encountered no such crashes.
  • It is present in multiple platforms. I would create a task in my phone, and would check it off on my laptop.
  • It's hassle free to add and check off tasks. It was very helpful for me in college.
  • Google Tasks lack support. If you encounter any problem, you just have the option to provide feedback. Since the team may receive a lot of feedbacks, they simply don't answer.
  • Although it contains the essentials of a task-management app, there are still lots of features that can be implemented. Like, ability to specify time taken, setting priority in a more detailed way, and lots more.
  • The app is very slow to develop. The updates are pretty slow, and some even make the app unstable, rendering it useless until the next update. It happened to me but chances are very slim.
  • They don't have a dedicated app for Windows. I really missed that, and they still don't have one.
This app is for you if you want-
1. An app that does its job pretty well.
2. An app that does not affect your device's performance.
3. An app that is very easy to use.
4. An app that is not behind and pay wall and not filled with nasty ads.
5. An app that makes you more productive without getting distracted with features.
6. An app that has support for dark mode, which cares for your eyes.
7. An app that has deeply integrated with other Google services like Gmail and Calendar.
8. An app that [has been on] the market for several years, and that [is] free.

This app is not for you if you want-
1. An app that has [too many] features that it would take [too] much time to learn fully and adapt to its learning curve.
2. An app that is behind a paywall.
3. An app that has some fancy features which you may not even require.
4. An app where [it is a] hassle to enter a task and mark is completed. In many apps, there is so much hassle that most people leave midway.
5. The most obvious reason, if you don't want to be more productive.
