What is GoToMyPC?

GoToMyPC is designed to drive productivity and flexibility.
1. To Install GoToMyPC
An account can be created anywhere, but for GoToMyPC Personal or Pro, it must be set up physically present at the Mac or PC to access remotely. For GoToMyPC Corporate, the user can set up an account from anywhere without needing to be physically present at the PC to access remotely.
2. Connect From Another Device
On the other computer, log in at www.gotomypc.com. Press Connect and the desktop will appear.
3. Work Like Normal
Users can now access files, applications and a network as they were sitting right in front of a computer.

- Help section has a lot of answers!
- Still trying to figure out the resolution - the app screens are magnified sometimes so it's difficult to see some of the options.
- I'm new to GoToMyPC so I'm sure a lot of my issues are lack of knowledge

- On occasion an email or a program document does not print at home.
- I save to hard drive at home and will have to log out of GoToMyPC to access the file on my external hard drive, email it, and the log back in. Not a big deal.

GoToMyPC allows businesses to be on the Go.
- You have access to all the programs on the office PC as if you were sitting right there.
- It makes it easy to retrieve files to work on remotely and then compare the files to those on your remote PC.
- It is easy and quick to "dial" in.
- The security level is reassuring.
- it is more expensive than other remote software.
- It resizes your desktop font every time you dial in and has to be manually changed back after the completion of the session.
- When dialing in GoToMyPC sometimes stalls and has to be refreshed to continue.

GoToMyPC is the best that I have used
- The system is as fast as if I was in front of my work computer
- The appearance looks just like my computer at work.
- The system allows me to print remotely without issue.
- The system logs me out after 5-10 minutes of inactivity. Maybe there is, or could be a setting to allow longer inactivity before log out.
- In order to have speed, I pull the graphics down to minimum. If I need to view anything other than print, it is not very clear.
- I believe that I am unable to set the system to allow me to dictate into my office system from a remote location. That ability would be helpful.

- Love to be able to print on my local printer. If I have documents that need to be printed, signed and mailed, I don't have to wait to go into the office.
- I can work remotely on my office PC just as if I were sitting in front of it.
- I can log onto our other devices from one remote connection.
- I don't see much that I would change. It works very well and the more complicated an app becomes, the harder it is to use. It already has a lot of features. It has even kept the FTP option if it's needed.

Can't function without it
- Instantly connects me to my office desktop
- All apps and programs available in office are available le out of office using GoToMyPC
- I am unable to use two monitors at home for different apps. While I was able to set up two monitors, they each show the same desktop. This is true for Mac but not for PC.

Good Service Great Technical Support
- Technical support has always been GREAT. First of all its available 24/7.
- Technical support actually picks up the phone and answer when we call.
- Every time Technical support has always been knowledgeable and helpful to efficiently solve any problems .
- There ARE outages sometimes but that is going to happen with any service
- access to one email that allows me to keep track of everything
- Access to files I may have forgotten
- Allows me to work on projects when I am out of the office
- Really nothing with regards to the functions I use.
- One would always like it to be less expensive

- Reliable connection

- The product is extremely easy to use and set up.
- he one time I had a technical issue, customer service was amazingly helpful and responsive and even gave me insight into why the issue occurred so it could be avoided in the future.
- The product allows me to connect from any computer to my intended target (remote development environment) to get work that I need done when I'm away.
- I do not have any cons to state.
- It has everything that I need and many features that I do not need but are nice to know exist should the need arise.
- It's always to get things for lower prices but I do think the price is fair.
- Allows for both remote printing and printing at the host location
- Gives employees the ability to log in when buried under 4 feet of snow
- Keeps the avenue of communication when cellular towers are down
- My employees have found the installation instructions difficult to understand
- Occasionally, the remote printing is glitchy, especially when the internet connections are weak

Twenty Years and Counting
- Let's me work from my actual office computer's desktop
- Transfers large files from one computer to another - fast
- Let's me access our other remote computers within my first remote access so I don't have to go back and forth between logins.
- A voice or video feature might be nice on occasion
- Printing doesn't work on all of my remote computers

- Operates as if you are working on your local Windows machine
- Installation is simple and straightforward on Windows machines.
- Train the support team on how to support Macs. A problem for which support was contacted took over an hour with no resolution I found. After I did an internet search and the solution was published in their community forum on their site over a year ago.
- Doesn’t run well (or at all) on Macs in my opinion.
- In my opinion, technical support is a nightmare. And when their product doesn’t run on the technology you upgrade to mid year, I discovered they won’t refund you the rest of the subscription you can’t use if you pay the entire year in advance - for us this was for 4 computers so a hefty sum of money.
- In my opinion, Splashtop is far better, cheaper and works like a dream
