Greenhouse is our end to end applicant tracking system. I support our Talent Acquisition team as their HR Business Partner and use Greenhouse for a variety of compliance, hiring, and other use cases. Greenhouse helps us hire and onboard employees and allows the HR/compliance team to manage employee hiring records effectively.

For a fast-paced startup, with rapid hiring, Greenhouse is a great tool. Our whole TA team prefers using greenhouse to other applicant tracking systems (ATS). We use Greenhouse for candidate interview management, including resume repository, post-interview scoring, meeting reminders, and general candidate feedback for the interviewers, with central application consumption handled by our HR department. Without any similar software, the process is all manual and spread across many people and departments, which is inefficient and difficult to manage.

Greenhouse is utilized in our organization as an ATS system. Our aim is to organize our candidates by role they apply to, the software reflects the roles to linkedin and other websites so that potential employees can see the roles and apply. The software also goes beyond this basic ATS feature by allowing us to source through resumes by key word, and to run reports to look at specific recruiting statistics.
  • Greenhouse has an excellent ability to read resumes so that you can source through applicants in a very similar fashion to linkedin sourcing.
  • Ability to set up auto interview scheduling for first round interviews
  • Posting roles is quite simple
  • Better auto scheduling abilities (ie panel interviews, setting up more than 1 at once, helping with canceling/rescheduling)
  • Can be difficult to get managers trained on the tool
  • Permission access is super annoying - ie when you set up an interview this does not automatically give the interviewer permission to view the interviewee's resume
Greenhouse is a great tool is you want a relatively intuitive ATS system, it is probably one of the best on the market.

Greenhouse has helped with referring people into the company, keeping track of their stage in the interview process and learning what role is available to be shared to my networks. It allows me to keep track of who I've referred and who has applied via my referral link on my social media sites.

Also, the auto-posting function which links to my personal linkedin profile helps in providing exposure for the company.

Greenhouse is the ATS we have used as our company scaled from 70 up to 600+. The software has a lot of capabilities and is somewhat customizable. We use it for posting roles, receiving applications and managing candidates throughout the interview process including sending all communications to candidates and managing internal logistics and interview feedback for candidates.

  • Intuitiveness, once learned the product is pretty easy but some aspects of the product are not super logical such as the location of certain buttons etc.
Greenhouse is well suited for midsize companies that want an array of features in their ATS but aren't yet ready and don't need the massive clunky ATS's of mega-corporations (like Workday). It is customizable and flexible and once learned the product is pretty easy use.

Internal jobs and mobility is the primary use here. We use this software to post internal job positions and manage applications. I have personally submitted applications for internal roles in other departments and have set up interviews with our recruiting team. It have generally worked very well for our team and presents no major roadblocks as it is very easy and intuitive to use.

It is our ATS platform where all employees have access to in order to submit referrals or if the hire, be part of interview teams to submit scorecards.

We default to chat support as our CSM isn't the most communicative. We just started that relationship so hopefully it will get better. It is easy to update permissions and integrate with platforms like GoodTime, Searchlight, HireRight. My first year using this platform so there is definitely a learning curve that I've been working through.

We used Greenhouse to assess applicants, record interview notes, and rate candidates. Before interviews, we were assigned core values in Greenhouse to ask in the interviews, so that we did not overlap or miss anything. Afterwards, we submitted our assessments and they were reviewed by the hiring manager. Then we debriefed.

I think Greenhouse is well suited for a smaller company that does not have many applicants, candidates, or interviewers. For a larger company, it seems too manual and needs more automation. I also would like to see a number rating scale or a neutral rating, rather than yes or no.

Greenhouse allows us to have a repository where we can keep all information on potential employees that can be accessed by anyone participating in the process and can collaborate to make an employment decision.

Greenhouse is great for when employment decisions need to be made quickly with many stakeholders involved. With this application those involved in the process can see the candidates resume as well as the notes that other interviewers have had from their interactions. The talent acquisition team has aggressive hiring goals each quarter. The tool is mostly used to help support hiring and aggressive recruiting efforts. The talent acquisition team finds it most helpful for managers and interviewers to reach those recruiting and hiring metrics when the tool is used from front to end of the process. The automation and integration component helps for an inclusive process.

I use Greenhouse daily and manage the tool configurations. It has the cleanest user interface, makes recruiting extremely easy with it's workflows and customization options. Everything lives in one place and you know how your recruiting function is doing thanks to that.

I love using Greenhouse within our ATS system. It's great because I am able to organize my candidates and have a platform that makes it easier to work with the hiring managers as well. Greenhouse allows me to tag different candidates and review their resume with ease. All of my candidates are there and able to help with my sourcing as well. One of my biggest problems right now is reporting and using data to determine how many candidates are left in a certain stage with a certain amount of time and as a business, we are always looking to improve our tunraround time with candidates and improve hiring time and Greenhouse makes it very easy to go through and track these data.

Greenhouse has been great and very well suited when it comes with posting job descriptions and publishing it to the website and onto other job boards like Linkedin and Indeed. It's great for me in that way. In other scenarios where it is less appropriate, it's hard to look at hiring manager calenders and multiple calendars when it comes to it

If I need to pull up a hiring managers calender, it might not show all of the events which can be misleading to see their availability times

Overall, Greenhouse is a quality ATS for a smaller company. In my experience, there are some issues with the user experience such as reporting, zoom administration, and form management, but overall, the workflows make sense. I would like to see less clicks and customization for each piece. I believe it can be easier for a user then the current state. As a daily user I find it to be a bit time consuming. As an ATS it does work well for candidate management and movement. I believe candidate management is the best feature. Overall not a bad product. Worth the investment, but could be better.

I have used Greenhouse to evaluate potential prospects for both freelance and staff positions. This includes looking at links to their reels as well as their LinkedIn profiles that were included with their applications. It also allowed me to communicate directly with them with the emailing interface in case I were interested in working with the artist.

It really helps with trying to find the right person. Our company uses Greenhouse for all communications regarding potential candidates. From the sourcing aspect of the process to the interviewing cycle to the offer stage and beyond. I personally am a sourcer that performs some recruiting tasks that involve advanced stages of the pipeline. I have coordinated interviews, sourced candidates from the database, communicated with the team and candidates, and kept track of active candidates at different stages of the pipeline.

I have used Greenhouse in multiple organizations I have been with (including in my current position). It has been an invaluable tool both in the HR and Sales aspects of my job. It has helped my team and me accurately house prospect and client data, specifically for running trials and activating live accounts. It has also been a huge timesaver by helping us put candidates for jobs available on my team through the hiring funnel with ease.

The organizations I've worked with where I have used the tool were both at around 1,000 employees, but I don't see why teams larger or smaller in scale would have any trouble adopting the tool.

My last company used Greenhouse. At the time of implementation, the company was a quickly scaling software start-up. We needed an ATS that could allow us to keep track of all of the hiring demands that a scaling company has. Moreover, the company values inclusion and diversity, and fair hiring practices, which Greenhouse aims to address by building in features that are made to mitigate bias.

Greenhouse is excellent if you have a dedicated person/team to learn the ropes and take advantage of all the features that it has. If you truly need a powerful, complex ATS it's the software for you. It really is extremely agile and able to do many functions, everything we needed in recruiting could live in Greenhouse. The biggest downside I found was, due to the intricacy of the software, one small command buried in the settings could affect something very visible on the front-end and it's a pain to go digging to find the original trigger. That being said, the support chat is very helpful and readily available. Also, one of the best parts of Greenhouse (its reporting and bias removing capabilities) can also be a downside. You need to set everything up and maintain it, which can create many steps that are harder to streamline down the road. The learning curve can be steep too.

We use Greenhouse as our data repository for candidates but also for our entire interview process with hiring managers. We ask them to use scorecards in Greenhouse, which are standardized for all interviewers, to best capture the interview feedback. It is easy to move candidates through the pipeline in Greenhouse, from the initial application review to the offer stage.

  • Outlook365 integration.
  • Tutorials for everyone recognizing time constraints.
  • More options for customizable fields.
  • Adding a feature where candidates can upload a video of themselves.
  • Dashboard should have more features.
For organizations that want to streamline their hiring process and integrated with LinkedIn, and other career sites. Excellent parsing and data capture, better than most. Great integration with the company Outlook 365 for enhanced scheduling.

We use Greenhouse mainly to manage referrals, applicants, interviews, and new hires. It´s our main HR tool to address our fast-growing company. Precisely because the expansion rate at this moment is so fast, we needed something that could facilitate the candidates look up and keep the candidates, interviews, and processes as easy to find as possible. Greenhouse was able to do all that.
  • Current employees can refer new candidates with ease and they have the chance to follow up on their referrals.
  • Interview views and scheduling are at first glance.
  • You can tailor your own reporting as necessary.
  • Easy to connect with automation tools.
  • Reporting tailoring could use some more refinement.
  • It would be great to have stage completion mandatory fields. Now you can close a candidate as successful without adding a close reason such as New Hire.
I don't use Greenhouse as much as HR but I have recommended this platform when asked which one my company uses. So far I've interacted with Greenhouse from the automation side and this is where I can honestly say that it's easy to connect, it's user friendly, and it provides a variety of complements that can make your work easier when automating. So far I have not encountered a scenario where I needed to incur in custom connections or endpoints other than those already provided by the platform.

I use Greenhouse to filter candidates for interview process, these candidates are sourced from various recruiting agencies and certain candidates are referred by internal employees.Greenhouse helps us in sourcing and identifying the right candidates and then smoothening and better structuring the whole interview process.
  • Greenhouse is amazing for recruitment and the links can directly be posted from here to recruiting websites.
  • GREENHOUSE helps in taking interview notes while interviewing which help in subsequent interview stages by well documenting the negatives and positives of each candidate.
  • Background checks and offer letter approval is also something which greenhouse does very smoothly with readily available templates.
  • While decision making, it helps us give the exact reason for rejection and if selected we can directly choose the source from options so that the source can be incentivised accordingly.
  • While giving referral, we can not always track the status of application of the referred candidate as it keeps throwing errors.
  • The UI is complicated and we can view only a small number of candidates in one go, the need to scroll frequently can be annoying.
  • Creating offer letters is easy but reiterating changes after negotiations with the candidates is time consuming, Greenhouse sometimes has very slow load times.
Greenhouse helps in finding right candidates for the job vacancies that we have in our organisation, the sourcing is diverse and also internal links from Greenhouse can be posted by employees on various social media channels there Greenhouse helps by creating an abundant pool of candidates to choose from.

Apart from some minor bug fixes like improvement in load times and right tracking, I do not think there are any major issues with the platform.

We use Greenhouse as our Applicant Tracking System for all Full-Time roles. Prior to using Greenhouse our old applicant tracking system was clunky, didn't allow for CRM functionality, and didn't allow us to fully capture the information we wanted or customize it in the way we were hoping. We can now stay in touch with candidates, and house interview questions in the system.

Greenhouse is great for managing candidates for multiple roles. I love that it can handle multiple openings for the same role. It's less great as a vessel for interview questions and scorecards.
