Grovo's product effectively consists of two parts, the instructional videos and assessments that we produce and the SaaS platform that they live on top of. The videos follow a microlearning methodology which increases learner retention. After a few weeks of use we decided to switch the entire company training system over to Grovo. We have had stellar results thus far, information retention among employees has greatly increased. The site is awesome for searching for a specific topic. Convenience. Lessons are generally very quick and easy to fit into even the busiest schedules. Interface. The website is gorgeous and inviting.,Some videos/lessons leave a lot to be desired and could use more detail. There's always more room for some more advanced skills.,9,It's an affordable way to train employees. We used Grovo at my company so that entire teams and departments could learn various coding languages and softwares at once. It's a super helpful software that provides very easy to follow instruction videos (called lesson tracks) that explain the language or software, and follow it up with a series of short quizzes to make sure you understand the material. It does a great job of tracking your progress and gives you incentive to keep on going.

Grovo is well suited for learning basically anything. Since you can upload any material/ training videos you want, Grovo can essentially be used to learn...anything. Although, it's super nice that there are some built in micro-lessons where you can learn various material that's already onboard. At my company, our engineering department used Grovo to guide us through an SQL database querying bootcamp in which they provided the lessons and material. Grovo was an excellent interface for doing this, and I learned a lot in the span of that short bootcamp.

Grovo is fantastic for bringing a team of people up to speed and for teaching a few things to a large audience. We found Grovo to be lacking when specific training is required or when the training required a certain level of skill. Grovo is fantastic for broad training, less so for specific depth training.

Grovo is used by our whole company as a resource for employees to use at their convenience. For example, managers may use it in order to learn the best techniques to deal with certain scenarios. Each department may benefit differently by learning skills that are relevant to them, such as customer service skills or even compliance. Each employee has access at all times, and there are also situations where a manager may ask their direct reports to spend some time there.
  • Ease of Use. The site is awesome for searching for a specific topic.
  • Convenience. Lessons are generally very quick and easy to fit into even the busiest schedules.
  • Interface. The website is gorgeous and inviting.
  • Some videos/lessons leave a lot to be desired and could use more detail.
  • There's always more room for some more advanced skills.
The ideal scenario for Grovo is for more of a supplement to real world training. Employees may know the basics of a software of scenario or may have known more in the past, but simply need to use Grovo as a refresher course or quick reminder.

I wouldn't really recommend using Grovo for the more complicated skills or situations, as this doesn't seem to be what it was designed for.

Grovo was used as the LMS platform for the organization with the goal of uploading our own content for use in conjunction with the microlearning courses that Grovo produces.
  • The microlearning videos are done very well and the concept is excellent and easy to use
  • Customer service was excellent. They walked us through their process and were always available to address concerns
  • The LMS is set up well for delivery of their content
  • The user content side of the LMS was clunky and difficult to manage.
Grovo is well suited to any company that wants to train their staff on soft skills or hard skills. The service was excellent, the website ran well, the Grovo content was great and well produced. They did not fit well when it came to hosting our company's proprietary content.
