Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

This was mainly used used in the hiring/screening process.
Engineers submit their applications to a job listing, HR would select who we would like to screen, they receive an assessment.
Based on the performance of the assessment, they would move on to live assessments.
The HackerEarth database of assessments would sometimes be used to pick the live assessment.
  • Filters out bad engineers
  • Validates resume claims
  • Speeds hiring
  • Better diagnostics
  • More up to date repository
  • Better IDE
HackerEarth Assessments excels in technical hiring with coding challenges. It's ideal for roles emphasizing coding proficiency and remote recruitment, yet may be less fitting for positions requiring strong non-technical skills like communication and collaboration.

HackerEarth is the technical assessment platform that we use to hire new employees. The HackerEarth assessments are given as part of the interview process. We use HackerEarth to assess the aptitude in programming skills from the HackerEarth assessment score. As the score is generated on aspects such as the candidate's problem-solving ability and speed, the HackerEarth assessment serves as a good measure to judge a candidate before that person is called for the next round of interviews.
  • Option of proctored/unproctored assessment.
  • Uniform structure of assessment.
  • Variety of problem sets to choose from.
  • Code editor should be more responsive for auto suggestions.
  • Practice environment should be located in such a way that it should be found easily.
  • A transparent and publicly available pricing.
  • To conduct a preliminary assessment round when there are multiple candidates to choose from. Helps you to filter out candidates on the basis of requirements.
  • The questions that are assigned for each test are different, so the probability of any two candidates getting the exact same questions is very less.
  • However, the questions are based on the same concepts so as to provide an equal ground to all the candidates.
  • However, if you have to choose from less number of candidates you are better off conducting normal interviews, as these tests are time-consuming for both interviewers and employers.

Hiring the right candidates is always very tough and dependent on an accurate assessment of the candidate for the required skills. HackerEarth Assessments helps us create specific tests that we can use to evaluate the potential candidates to hire the right fit for our team.
  • The platform is very well designed and the overall experience is very nicely devised, so in a small span of time of the interview also the candidates can easily identify all the necessary platform utilities and give the test in a given time.
  • Wide range of questionnaires from the system itself, so it makes the job of the interviewer very easy to pick any question for the test as well.
  • Simple onboarding and an easy learning curve make it easy for organisations to quickly set up an efficient hiring process.
  • The pricing is also very well thought out and doesn't make life tough for companies.
  • The Pricing is good for mid-size companies, but for a growing startup, it can be a bit high. Maybe they can introduce startup-friendly plans.
  • The Library of the questionnaire can be improved and updated as its long time since it has been revisited.
Here are some scenarios based on my experience where HackerEarth Assessments is well suited,
  1. Straightforward tool and the learning curve is not at all steep so getting new employees onboarded on the tool is smooth.
  2. Job Description related questionnaire library is conducive for quickly setting up
  3. The coding platform is really good, it gives solid ide and amazing debugging abilities for the people being assessed
  4. Their support of different types of assessments be it programs or MCQs is really flawless and quite impressive.
Basically I didn't find any such situations where it didn't perform according to what it is intended to. One thing I would just point out that their pricing strategy could be improved, like it is on the higher side for small scale companies.

We are using this online platform to hire new talent for our company. Using this product you can hire talent from multiple locations without tedious or repetitive processes, in my organization we are using this product only for hiring purposes. The product is very economical and it has a broad reach.
  • we can design assessment tests using almost all programming languages.
  • We can create customized test cases for a given assessment test.
  • It is very economical to our organization.
  • The analysis and report can be more concise.
  • Sometimes users have reported IDEs not working so there is room for improvement.
  • All other things are fine.
Whenever we need to hire a fresher or an experienced talent we use the HackerEarth assessment platform because it provides many readymade problems according to the work experience you can select from these problems that are provided by the platform and can add test cases or modifications if you want to check the certain skills of the candidates.

The platform is well suited for the candidate of programming background, but we do not use this platform if we are hiring any candidate for the management team.

HackerEarth Assessments provides a easy to understand and use platform for coding assessments. This helps the team immensely in filtering out candidates based on their coding skills before the interview process. Configuring the test is also straightforward with options to select the type of test based on the role a candidate is being tested for.
  • Easy to configure and use
  • Lots of languages to choose from
  • Wide range of questions which can test any particular skill as required of a candidate
  • Documentation for setting up the exam
  • Better user interface
Easy to monitor and proctor assessments. Audio and Video monitoring can also be enabled if necessary. This is a great feature to reduce any malpractices. The system can also look for plagiarism in the code submitted which is highly essential in order to better judge the abilities of a candidate.

The ways in which we are using Hacker Earth Assessments in our organization is for our internal platforms for talent development and to conduct promotional exams for the associates. The problems that the product addresses for us are not only limited to what is described here as for managing all the infrastructure and support needed for successfully carrying out the exam. This also allows us to get the backend monitoring of the exam, and the invigilation is also taken care of by the platform, so overall a really good enterprise solution.
  • Managing infrastructure
  • Remote proctoring exam
  • Easy and fast support
  • Allocating resources faster
  • Better user interface
  • Documentation for setting up the exam
The scenarios, based on my experience, where Hacker Earth Assessments is well suited [...] would be mainly for programming assessments wherein the compilers and the processing power [are] needed and managing that by the organization independently is difficult, which is where the hacker earth assessments are well suited. And also, in cases wherein remote proctoring is required at that time also these assessments are well suited.
