The use of Heap in the company is focused on the development of automated data collection and processing systems. [We use this] to obtain a complete analysis of different areas that require tools with robust analysis systems that can provide verifiable reports to know the possible changes that we must perform. [This allows our] clients [to] feel that we are continuously working to satisfy their needs and also to increase our vision of events and projects in relation to the data that we manage to process in Heap. Although Heap is not the only solution that we are implementing to perform data analysis of the behavior and interests of customers in the company, we can use this tool for more specific aspects that result in productivity growth in high percentages.
  • Robust automated analysis of customer behavior and interests helps make the necessary changes.
  • Heap has a fast and powerful data collection and processing system that takes into account every specific detail related to the web.
  • It also generates reports after data analysis that help my team to know the possible changes that we must make.
  • Heap is an intuitive tool that has good analytics and I don't really see anything negative about this product.
  • The usability is good, the technical support is attentive, it performs automated data analysis and also generates robust reports, these are the best features of this software and they are the ones that give me a satisfactory opinion.
Heap is more appropriate in scenarios that require rapid analysis of customer behavior and interests, such as events and projects on the web that have to have a robust data collection system and information processing of mutual interest between customers. Another plus point to recommend is the technical support made up of attentive, friendly, and expert people who are always available.
  • We have achieved a significant increase in our productivity in [the] analysis of behavior and customer interests since the implementation of Heap in the company, we have the data collected instantly and with easy to understand reports for all users, this is what Heap does a better job and the ROI has met our expectations.
  • The cost of this tool is the most appropriate for the company, the quality and price ratio is at its best levels and we have confidence that thanks to Heap and we can know what changes we must make and this translates into the growth of the productivity.

Heap allows us to clearly segment between users based on actions taken in our application. It has allowed us to create and test various product experiences, both in-app and through our CRM platform. Heap has also allowed us to view user funnels and behavioral trends while interacting with the application.
  • Behavior Tracking.
  • Segmentation.
  • Trend Analysis.
  • Better walkthroughs.
  • Wider Integration Options.
  • More frequent syncs with integrations.
Heap is great for behavioral analysis, user segmentation, and integration with CRM platforms. It allows us to define cohorts and analyze trends based on actions taken in our product funnels. This functionality has allowed us to create waitlists, abandoned cart flows, message preference segmentation, and more. This functionality has been exceptional in helping us better understand our users.
We didn't choose Heap over the others listed above. But we use Heap in conjunction with several other platforms in order to better understand our user base. Heap has been a great addition to our repertoire of usable tools and we love how it has integrated with other platforms...especially Looker!

Product managers mostly use Heap, but we also have people from our data teams, communications teams, and executive teams that are using Heap on a regular basis. The wide use by people representing different business functions shows Heaps versatility and relevancy in how it allows us to achieve better business outcomes.

There are people from our data teams and our engineering teams that regularly make sure Heap is working the way it should. They are also able to add in new features or analytics upon request, which has been very helpful for making the platform more robust. There is a small learning curve to Heap, but it really doesn't take a ton of time to learn how to use.
  • Individual User Behavior
  • Cohort Analysis
  • Syncing with our CRM
  • A/B Testing
  • Syncing with Looker
  • Creating an abandoned checkout flow based on page views
  • Learning where our users go in the app
  • Product funnels from communications
  • More robust architecture with our CRM
  • Detecting bugs
It's a great platform. I'm glad that one of our product managers introduced it because it has allowed us to create all kinds of new functionality. We're not only able to create a better product experience from our communications because of Heap, but we're also able to generate all kinds of helpful analysis.

  • Product Usability
I wasn't involved in the purchase of Heap. But knowing the way the product manager who purchased Heap thinks, I can see that the functionality of Heap was a huge point of consideration. Fortunately, it has paid out because we've been able to learn from Heap. It is intuitive to use and offers a ton of features.
I don't think I would change anything about the selection process. We're happy with our purchase and will continue to use Heap in an ongoing basis. I'm confident that we did our due diligence of research prior to purchasing this product. That makes me feel confident that we made the right decision.
  • Don't know
  • We didn't encounter any issues
The implementation was smooth and easy. The Heap team helped us with implementation and it went great! Within a few weeks, we were fully up and running and utilizing the platform to its full capability. This is an additional thing that has made this platform so great and we couldn't recommend it enough.
Heap support has allowed us to troubleshoot and test a lot of different items. Their support team is always helpful and friendly, even when we come to them with the most complicated questions. I think this greatly improves the value proposition of the product because their support team is knowledgable and friendly.
No, we didn't purchase premium support. We have been happy with the support that Heap offers so far and don't feel the need to upgrade to additional support. If there comes a time when it might be needed though, we might consider upgrading to premium support. So far the support has been great.
No
I can't think of any right now.
  • Segmentation
  • Page view tracking
  • Building charts
  • None that I can think of
Heap has an intuitive UI. It has made business users like me, who mainly focus on marketing, feel empowered to use the platform and learn from it to improve the functions of my role. I greatly appreciate the overall design and ease of use when interacting with Heap's platform and think it is very usable.

Helps us understands the usage of our website better.
  • Tracking number of users coming on specific pages
  • Dividing users into different segments
  • Understand the user journey of customers on the website
  • Adding functionality where we can automate definition creation
  • Creating more lectures which would help users already existing functionality
  • Some more ways to audit multiple definitions at once
It is well suited to understand how long and which part of the website is being used the most.
  • Understand effects of product changes on customer engagement
  • Increase website transparency
They both are different products.

Both are from different domains.
  • Helping the senior leadership translate their ideas into numbers
  • Being able to see who are our visitors
  • Creating definitions that help reach the lowest level of granularity
  • By using the data to create VIZs
  • By implementing machine learning models in creating definitions
  • Adding event definitions
  • Adding data into Database
  • Tracking the live activities to create defination
  • Doing new analysis
It is easy-to-use software and I find the live tool to be the handiest. Additionally, the heap engine is always storing the data even for the actions that are not defined which makes it the best. There are a few limitations while analyzing the data in heap, but we can get the data in databases easily.

Heap is being used mainly by technology, marketing, and product departments to analyze conversion rates to make key decisions. We also find it helps identify areas where we need to improve the user experience on our website to push our audience down the right URL paths.
  • Analyze Funnels
  • Quickly define key events on a website
  • Produce graphs seamlessly
  • Use case tutorial videos
I love it for analyzing conversion rates across key pages and understanding where to focus my efforts on first
  • Increased conversion rates
  • Improved funnel visualization
  • Improved data visualization
Heap helps me compile the data I care about and find the answers I need more efficiently versus digging through pages of Google Analytics data.

Lead developers and IT staff control usage, limits, and approve new events. They also provide training and walk-throughs on the logic behind Heap and how to use it for specific use cases.
  • Understanding user journeys
  • Analyzing conversion rates
  • Understanding technical roadblocks
  • Track conversion rates for key paid search landing pages over time
  • Create digestible dashboards to explain complex projects and data points
  • Monitor conversions coming from specific parts of our website
  • Monitoring user behaviour to improve UX and usability of our website
Heap helps me understand key data points without fussing with the formatting of a dashboard. It gives me the benefit of data analyzation without the fuss of the formatting - as well as the ease of sharing data collected with my colleagues
At first, I found the platform difficult to utilize but with time I was able to navigate effectively.
The most challenging part of using Heap in a growing organization is the naming and structure in which reports and dashboards are organized. I work within the marketing department and our Heap leader internally works within the IT/Product department, which makes it challenging because we often don't speak the same language, so the learning curve has been steep without any specific use-case examples to leverage online.
I've never run into any issues with Heap's availability, Heap is always there when I need it. I haven't run into any issues like application errors or unplanned outages during my 2+ years of using Heap. Each and every time I log in to Heap I have a completely functional experience
Heap's performance can be described as very efficient. Most pages load quickly when creating reports and dashboards, however, in the event visualizer, I often find the experience to be a bit laggy and slower in nature in regards to page speed and overall experience vs other areas of the platform, especially on mobile.

We largely use Heap to measure the effectiveness of various marketing campaigns we are running to attract new customers to Saatva.com.
  • Detailed documentation.
  • Responsive support.
  • Robust API.
  • UI isn't as friendly as it could be.
  • Can be complex for less technical users.
Web tracking and analysis.
  • Increased engagement with certain customer personas.
  • Improved marketing spend on channels that make a difference on our bottom line.
The UI can be difficult to navigate and using the analysis tools required a good amount of trial and error. I'd like to see improvements in the usability and making it easier for a larger audience to easily self service.
Performance has never been an issue with Saatva.
