What is Hitwise (discontinued)?
Hitwise was a competitor comparison intelligence and audience intelligence platform from Connexity in Santa Monica (who acquired Hitwise and its technology in 2015 from Experian), which allowed users to discover characteristics unique to their audience vis-a-vis the customers of a competitor to to fine tune and improve future marketing efforts and outreach to new customers. Hitwise was discontinued in 2020.

Great for Smaller Clients & Websites
Hitwise is used mainly to look at online consumer behavior for search terms, traffic trends (seasonal or non) and up/downstream sites being used across industries, brands and products. Using Hitwise helps us make grounded media and strategy recommendations. Many of our clients are very small, so Hitwise is our best solution vs. Comscore.
