IBM Cloud File Storage and 1Password serve distinct purposes, catering to different organizational needs. IBM Cloud File Storage excels in providing scalable and high-performance cloud-based file storage, making it an ideal choice for enterprises grappling with storage management challenges and seeking robust backup and disaster recovery capabilities. On the other hand, 1Password is tailored for secure password management, offering features such as secure sharing and breach monitoring. The selection between the two depends on the specific priorities of the organization; IBM Cloud File Storage suits those with a focus on scalable file storage and collaboration, while 1Password is chosen for its expertise in individual password security and management.

IBM has a really compelling offering for businesses, offering greater scalability, and flexibility over the competing solutions. This is an ever more important area of cloud operations, and IBM offers a service backed by one of the biggest names in the industry, offering guaranteed flashbacked storage over an industry-standard NFS interface - most of the competing products looked at required some kind of proprietary software to integrate them.

IBM Cloud File Storage is easier to manage and easier to move on other datacenters to create new workflow. The ecosystem on IBM is more enterprise oriented and math company's customers requirements more than the other 2 providers. In addition we also wanted a different provider respect AWS and AZURE for this storage for high availability and disaster recovery.

Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage did not meet the set storage standards that we were demanding. The cost of maintenance was very high and the overall licensing price was not suitable. It is easy to work with IBM storage application with simple set features that can be adapted easily by new users. IBM Cloud File Storage customer support staff has been working closely with the implementation team to ensure our programs are not affected negatively in any way.

IBM Cloud File Storage, unlike other similar products, offers excellent Cloud data security and its overall data management quality on IBM Cloud File Storage is incredible and its data integration support is perfect because it allows big data migration across many Cloud platforms for effective data analytics generation and data visualization tools are great.

At the end of the day, for our group, the decision to go with IBM Cloud File Storage was for security purposes. Keeping data on a hard drive does not compete with a secure cloud solution that can be accessed anytime when internal servers go down. From what I know as well, the pricing structure with IBM was lower compared to other potential solutions.

  • Amazon Elastic File System (EFS)
In my opinion, IBM has produced excellent products that have been instrumental in the development of our business. We rely heavily on data to power the programs in our organization. Because our systems can be accessed from various apps without experiencing any downtime, integrating them with this platform is simple. The ability to tailor this platform to accommodate varying data quantities was a big plus for me.

IBM Cloud File Storage served well to our need to store and share files easily with team members in the office, and uploading files into the central library was very easy to collaborate on files with internal users. It allowed us to archive files and data with back-ups and disaster recovery in place across multiple data centers.

High speed to connection when using this platform is incredible with effective data encryption process and volume duplication and replication, always confident that your data is stored safely. Reaching for international dimensions to cater [to] our client's compliance requirements regarding the location of data within the national borders very easy and smooth process.

IBM Cloud File Storage is a supporting feature for many of the applications that can run on either IBM Cloud Virtual Servers or IBM Cloud Bare Metal Servers, because as the need for storage grows, IBM Cloud File Storage can be added as a complement.

AWS has much better tutorials and documentations to get started and implement their services directly to our tech stack. I found IBM very difficult to get around here. IBM support does not help at all. We mostly use IBM because of the cloud credits program, must choose AWS if you could. Also, there’s an extra cost to get employees familiar with IBM.

We selected in mainly because we are already in IBM's ecosystem. Our entire business infrastructure is hosted with IBM.

We use their cloud platform so you have to use tools that are complementary to your stack. You can roll your own tooling but it is just more costly and unnecessary if you don't need highly specific functionality.

IBM Cloud File Storage feels a little more businessy tough Google Cloud Storage is cleaner and simpler (and cheaper).

Right now I am giving it a go just for user data because the option to create just a bucket and connect it directly to the user machine is always valuable.

Yes, we are heavily using the AWS Cloud platform and they have a managed NFS service called Elastic File System (EFS). It workes really well with our HA architecture.

We selected IBM Cloud File Storage because of the company's reputation as a good provider of cloud file storage solutions and more generally, my company at that time relied heavily on IBM software. We hesitated a little bit with Amazon EFS which had some key features that IBM did not have, but all things considered, IBM was our best alternative.

IBM is well known for its amazing design and programming, plus server connectivity, so it made sense to first try their packages and then make a final decision on which one suits the company best. The amazing customer support and quick responses helped us understand everything about its use and options. It was quite easy to choose them over the others.

It provides a much higher level of security and uptime than Google Drive. It has a similar structure set up for the organization. Google Drive is easier to be set up but much more simple in its layout and uses. Both are great tools to use and depend on the size of your organization.
