We used Red Hat Decision Manager for managing complex business rules for various front office and back office applications in our organization to automate business processes. Red Hat Decision Manager serves as the single source of truth to abstract and centralize any business and decision magic logic from the underlying applications that can be reused across different experiences.
  • Managing complex business rules
  • Automate decision logic
  • Configuration options for customization
  • Interoperability and integration with other tools
Red Hat Decision Manager is well suited for developing a microservices-based application architecture where reusable components / APIs can be used across different end-user applications. It however may not be well suited for use cases where business users need low code / no-code environment to maintain business rules themselves without any developer / IT team support
  • Business Rules Engine
  • Microservices Architecture
  • Red Hat Decision Manager has helped reduce maintenance costs for our Business Applications
  • Red Hat Decision Manager has helped improve time to market for launching new offerings
Red Hat Decision Manager offers better breadth and depth of features to support complex business rules when compared to Camunda. Also it requires less customization than Camunda to build business workflows

Red Hat Decision Manager can be scaled and adapted to meet the automation needs of the organization as it grows by reusing the components and business rules data which provides a high ROI on the renewal costs.
Yes
Red Hat replaced a home grown legacy application which monolithic and not scalable for our business growth.
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
  • Prior Experience with the Product
Red Hat Decision Manager provides diverse options and features to configure workflows for different use cases and business functions. Also it can be administered by business users for lower complexity rules which provides a quicker turnaround time to launch new business capabilities without high development costs.
I would have also evaluated the quality of service and support for the product to better understand what SLAs we can expect for our service requests.
  • Implemented in-house
No
Change management was a small part of the implementation and was well-handled
Leverage product support documentation and training material to provide both offline and live in person training workshops
  • Migrating data from legacy rules engine
  • Rolling out to users with local language interface
For high volume and / or complex set of legacy business rules, plan for adequate time for data migration activities.
The support for Red Hat decision Manager can be improved to be more omnichannel with better response times for the customers.
We did not purchase premium support because we did not see value in the cost-benefit analysis for it
Yes
It was resolved but required back and forth several times
In one case, Red Hat provided quick resolution to a production support issue which was impacting our business metrics.
Red Hat provides configurable rules and workflow interface that be used by Non-technical users like Operations, Finance etc to develop and automate their operational processes.

we use hybrid cloud solutions .We have on prem and cloud applications that being used for our customers .it benefited us about security, automation and monitoring and especially docker orchestration such as Red Hat OpenShift. The other issue was monitoring.By using redhat solution, we tackled with monitoring problem on containers and cloud providers (Azure,AWS,Google)
  • Does not matter which clouds you have
  • Supports Openshift as natively
  • Security ,monitoring
  • It should be easy to use because it needs more knowledge
  • You should be trained to your partner well
  • Well Documentations are needed
We were using Ansible for automation and Openshift for container management until Red Hat Decision Manager. It made the management on both sides simplified for us and visibled. Before the Red Hat Decision Manager,we were managing 2 products seperately .there was not any correlation between each others .The prediction by using AI made us more foresight
  • AI
  • Easy to manage (Ansible and openshift)
  • Security
  • Reducing man hours for management
  • prediction for errors
  • user friendly
Because, we are using Ansible and Openshift as on prem that belong to Red Hat and we have bunch of experince over Red hat products and we are familiar as well. We love open source technologies and their supports.Ansible and Openshift are must in our network that s why Red Hat Decision Manager is our valuable
Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Google Kubernetes Engine

Yes , i did.I think it is needed
No
I didnt see that
Implementation phase is very difficult .Of course ,you need to know bunch of things about cloud, container, automatization
  • integration is elegant
  • Before using, you need to know more technical knowledge
  • User friendly
  • implementation
  • Each features are difficult to understand
