Having IBM Planning Analytics on the cloud has been a great improvement from our on-prem environment. We had little to no assistance from our local IT team when it was on-prem. Now on the cloud, I can submit a case and get a quick response and resolution. IBM PA takes care of all of the server maintenance and updates.

Support is good and you find many IBM Tech Documents and best-practices from the IBM Support Website. In our country we're missing local IBM Support and that means we have to be connected to foreign IBM Support with different time zones. However, the support works great and Support's response time is fast.

IBM Planning Analytics still has to improve on configurations and user interface. I have opened PMRs in the past with previous versions of TM1 and the response was to wait to next release and so on. It needs to have a better way to implement new functionalities in a quick way as the market is evolving fast.

IBM relies on 3rd party support providers & only gets involved if complaints are escalated at a high level with their tech support coming onsite. I'd prefer that they take a dual role to provide support earlier on.

While overall good; things like prioritization of new features take a lot of time or never come. Constant changes in management and product grouping within IBM keeps the development cycles very volatile. Roadmaps issued are never achieved in time.

There are good support people in Ottawa, but having access to the development team and a TAM make the support. Without that access I don't think IBM Support would be as highly rated.
