The low latency for best performance and improve productivity. This is very much suitable for all the usecases where data intensive processing need to be performed. The administration is very easy and logical. It helps to run the infrastructure at optimial cost and optimal performance. It offers great deal of virtualisation featurs and they are indeed very much powerful.

The flashsystem is more than capable of allowing for a hybrid setup. While the cloud side of things requires some background and more external knowledge, the manual and online resources do a serviceable job at enabling setup.

The integration into our SVC and the midrange systems are very well working. We do use cross site replication and global mirror which in turn is easy setup and the consistency groups are well maintained.

Our organisation needed a storage solution for all our different kind of data. We had several solutions that did not comply with our requirements. IBM Storage FlashSystem appeared as a great option due to both, a reasonable cost for our company and consistent and reliable solution that it offered for all the storage needs of the company.

I have found the system to very user friendly. We are currently using it for on premises storage only and have not had the need to leverage any of the cloud extensions. Being able to directly connect up to 8 hosts with dual controller fiber channel is a very nice feature for such a low cost SAN, which saved up quite a bit of money by not having to purchase fabric switches. This also keeps maintenance and power costs down and saves room in the rack.

The same storage is optimal to use in on-premises and compatible with the cloud vendors. This will be a win-win for the clients who have plans to move/host the data in the cloud. Due to the extreme IO-intensive storage capabilities, customers are mainly focusing to use in mission-critical applications directly hosted on the storage.

It is very flexible, it allows us to hire capacity on demand and also allows IBM to manage my storage, it is a highly recommended product for current needs such as the cloud and containers, without compromising security and performance
