I'm a huge fan of Watson Text to Speech, it's a language-agnostic API Service that converts written text into natural-sounding audio. I can integrate it into my apps and websites so that my users can enjoy a superior user experience. I was looking for a solution that would allow me to easily add audio capabilities to my applications and I found this. IBM Watson Text to Speech is a cloud-based text to speech service that allows you to generate audio in a variety of dialects and voices. The service is currently available in English, French, German, Spanish, Korean, Arabic, Mandarin, Cantonese, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Turkish, and Brazilian Portuguese.
  • Generate audio in various languages.
  • Easy to integrate in any platform.
  • Sometimes it mispronounced some words.
  • Lack of sentiments.
  • Need to work on accuracy.
If you're looking for a high-quality reading of your book, magazine, website, or blog, you can use the IBM Watson Text to Speech API to create a voice-over with a variety of language and voice options.
  • It has saved a lot of time in creating different content for different languages for different clients.
  • Easily integration to website thus saving the cost of high tech dev.
I've never been a fan of the robotic voice of text-to-speech tools and I've always thought they sounded flat and bland. Until I tried IBM Watson Text to Speech, that is. This service uses advanced deep learning techniques to synthesize speech output in natural-sounding voices. I was blown away by how good the voices were that I've been using it for personal stuff like journaling and brainstorming sessions. And I'm definitely going to be using this for podcasting and my YouTube channel.

We have clients that are all over the world and we were looking for a program with a voice to improve customer experience and engagement by interacting with users in their native language. This is exactly what we needed to use and it helps our current customers communicate with their audience.
  • Increase accessibility
  • Automate Customer Service interactions
  • Up to date system
  • User experience
  • Explain how data is protected
  • Support response time
One of the main features we love about this program is the accessibility to use on many different devices and platforms. It makes life so much easier to take away the language barrier and that is what IBM Watson Text to Speech does best! New updated instructional videos might be helpful to continue to be provided.
  • Excellent feedback from clients
  • Top of the line product
  • Cutting edge technology

The business problem was read a legal notice to the customer in order to stipulate the contract automatically. We need also other IBM Watson services: speech to text: in order to analyze human response tone analyzer: in order to retrieve the sentiment of the customer The join of all IBM Watson services was a great solution for our case.
  • Pronunciation
  • Many languages supported.
  • Many voice supported.
  • Add sentiment variation.
  • Add parameter in order to change the characteristic of the voice.
  • Use custom voice in order to tune the speaker.
I advise Watson for all scenarios where you need AI to speak. I don't use this for this goal, but I suppose that could be a good solution for tourism and travel: companies in the hospitality industry can make it easier for people to get around and offer tours in numerous languages, all at the same time. In telecommunications, could be used to create customized messaging that the caller can use with customers, and it can generate words from a customer’s records that are read to them in a professional and friendly voice. It's very good for English, for Italian is a little "robotic" but the pronunciation is right.
  • Voice assistant market is grow , new business high ROI.
  • Cost saving with Watson instead of other resource.
  • Correct conversation routing savings.
I found IBM text to speech easier to start, and the result with the English language was better than another platform There are a lot of examples and the reference described very in-depth. As a premium partner, we could access all documentation. The demo site is very good and simple to use.
