- More work is definitely needed on the main interface to help make it even more intuitive and reduce the number of steps involved in reviewing candidates and "accepting" or "rejecting" them.
- More integration with social media. Our package was just upgraded, so this already may have been accomplished. We'll see.
- Emailing select groups of past candidates is still a little awkward. Would love to be able to sort the candidates and create more specialized groups and touch points to email them and create stronger ties and talent source pools. Would love to be able to tailor and send out newsletters, blog posts and specialized job announcements to them. May be create and advertise special events (job fairs & open houses).
- Would love to see a feature where candidates and others can recommend a friend seeking employment.
- Would love to have the ability to create email contact lists for job referral sources at colleges, labor dept offices, vocational schools, employment help organizations and others to which we could create and push out our job posts, e-newsletters and event invites to them with a click.

- Great organizational tool for recruiting effort. This has been HUGE for us.
- Not happy with the forced buy that took us up nearly $300 per month in usage fee - in one step. CEO is not pleased and will scrutinize value of the system more and cause us to be on the lookout for better deals with competitors.

- Success story. We recently ran a Veterans Job Fair and invested a ton of time in reaching out to military and Veterans groups by phone, email and snail mail. We spent several thousand dollars on FaceBook and regional newspaper ads. The day before the event we only had 35 candidates registered to attend. We were very upset with that kind of response. That same day we invited 9000 candidates from our iCims applicant data base and several hundred attended the job fair to save the day!!!!

- iCIMS is a very customizable system. We are constantly making changes and adding new fields in iCIMS and the best thing is that the system administrator has the access to make all these changes.
- The dashboard capabilities that iCIMS provides in its platform are amazing. You can literally tailor a specific user login to see only those dashboards that you feel they need access to see.
- The workflow feature that iCIMS has allows for cleaner reporting, as you can't skip a step when moving a candidate thru the workflow.
- iCIMS can improve the reporting capabilities as you can't have multiple logic setup when creating a report.
- I think they can improve the security administration piece as the system admin can't tailor the security. You need to contact iCIMS so they can make changes.
- iCIMS needs to do a better job when looking for partners to integrate their systems with. We currently are in the middle of integrating iCIMS with TalentWise and this integration has not gone too well.
- iCIMS has allowed us to view the full recruiting life cycle at a macro level.
- We can have data points in seconds when other systems take forever to process a report request.
- iCIMS has allowed for better accountability of our data.

- The added use of a position management function has help management determine where there headcount is in the process of hire/fire at any given point in time.
- an improved recruiting workflow has given our recruiters a precise view into there req load and the status of there candidates allowing them to handle more reqs with no added effort.
- A great candidate application process has lead to less "dropped" candidates and an increase in our candidate database. This has improved our sourcing efforts dramatically.
iCIMS stacks up against all of the above and is above average.
iCIMS is not a full blown Taleo product but is getting closer to that full blown product with each new release.
Nothing but Halogen can compare to the price of iCIMS. But I think iCIMS gives you more bang for the buck.
From Taleo to iCIMS...
- The system is intuitive from an ATS standpoint. It is easy to review candidates in a job.
- Customer service is available via phone or online ticketing system. It is rare that a customer representative who answers the phone can't handle the issue during the call.
- The software streamlines our offer letter and approval process.
- Integrating iCIMS with other software or departments is painful. We had a scheduled 12 week integration with iCIMS & ADP last more than 15 months.
- Not all members of the iCIMS team share the same customer service centric attitude that the help desk and our Client Relationship Representative has.
- The onboarding product could be improved. Currently this is done through "iFORMS" which are essentially word documents with fields that can be completed. It would be nice if the system allowed the fields to be re-formatted or have a more visually appealing look.
- Positive - We spend much less time having to administratively manage our job files to maintain compliance from an EEO/Affirmative Action perspective.
- Positive - Our previously heavily administrative offer letter creation process was eliminated with the ability to generate offers based on multiple templates from the system.
- Positive - The reporting features have allowed a greater insight into applicant trends.
