IgnitionOne is currently being used by six accounts at my agency. Several years ago, it was used all across the agency, but that has changed as competitor services have surpassed IgnitionOne's capabilities. We used IgnitionOne on clients that relied heavily on our SEM services. It was good in that it allowed us to manage multiple publishers from one place, but again it has fallen behind competitors.
  • Good customer service.
  • They were flexible in allowing us to access backend data.
  • Buggy!
  • Lacks many features competitors offer (like labeling).
  • No clear roadmap for the future with their SEM product.
  • Good for very basic management of a search program.
  • Not good for much else since it is buggy and lacks many features that competitors offer.
  • Also may be good for someone who is looking for a low-cost DMS.

The platform is noted for its bid management capabilities, of use in search marketing.

IgnitionOne is headquartered in New York and has grown fairly steadily from its inception in 2004, with about $68.1 million in funding from multiple investors, to become one of the largest vendors of digital marketing solutions, having now almost 500 employees across 10 countries.
