Sage Intacct is a cloud-based financial accounting software system with functionalities for small to mid-sized businesses. Sage Intacct delivers an array of core accounting applications such as a general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and order management to any accounting department or finance team. It also supports functionality for built-in dashboards, real time reporting, time and expense management, project accounting, revenue management, and global consolidations for multiple entities.

With an open API structure, Sage Intacct’s accounting solution also provides integration with any CRM, payroll, POS, or ERP system such as Salesforce, and ADP.

My business uses multi-entity and global consolidations. As I am part of an international business these advanced features have been vital. It has enabled us to manage our financial data efficiently and provided improved visibility despite different locations. Without this feature it would be a struggle juggling accounting in the different countries we operate in and complying with the local regulations in each respective country.

Accurate insights into the organization’s financial health, which helps management identify cost-saving opportunities and potential risks. Higher employee satisfaction and trust due to shorter employee reimbursement cycles. Simplified employee expense reimbursement process by automating much of it, reducing the need for paper, lowering the amount of time spent handling expenses and minimizing errors. Improved productivity, cost savings and better compliance due to automated processes. Enhanced reporting helps with financial planning and analysis as companies assess current spending.

Multi-entity & global consolidations- we have subsidiaries in different countries and use Intacct to consolidate financial data from each entity and generate consolidated financial statements for reporting to stakeholders and regulatory authorities.

I like how it makes it easier to allocate indirect costs and revenue contributions across departments, projects, or products. The availability of a customer support team is an added advantage. Sage Intacct is highly customizable to suit your needs and it seamlessly integrates with other third-party applications that make it a super powerful product for accounting management.

We use multi currency. In reports this automatically converts using current exchange rates to GBP - something that Sage 50 did not do.
This gives a better overiew of how mcuh funds the business has as well.

Most of the businesses has different streams of revenue or they have subsidiaries under them, having different entities for each of these revenue sources really helps in keeping a track of there individual as well as consolidated reports. Sage Intacct allows you to use a different set of items or template for the Invoices which can be very useful in case of acquisitions.

We have used consolidations which works great. I would like to add expense management, amortization/prepaid feature which I think should come standard as it just reads a preset table to create future entries and track the progress. The add-ons are great but they cost more and some of the simple features like prepaid schedules should be included
