What is Sage Intacct?

Sage Intacct is a cloud-based financial accounting software system with functionalities for small to mid-sized businesses. Sage Intacct delivers an array of core accounting applications such as a general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and order management to any accounting department or finance team. It also supports functionality for built-in dashboards, real time reporting, time and expense management, project accounting, revenue management, and global consolidations for multiple entities.

With an open API structure, Sage Intacct’s accounting solution also provides integration with any CRM, payroll, POS, or ERP system such as Salesforce, and ADP.

So, we need to manage all the things of USA in India so here we have created multi entity which is globally so we manage all the operations of USA and India in Sage Intacct where we smoothly manage all the operations here in this product.

Contract management is our most used feature. As a new SAAS provider, we have been able to set up automated revenue recognition and invoice schedules that do a lot of the heavy lifting for our new accounting methods. I particularly like the customization of preset billing schedules, as that is an often-negotiated feature of our clients. Before Sage, we always had to have calendar reminders for irregularly scheduled invoices, but now Sage can schedule them.

Sage Intacct continues to grow and expand modules for advanced usage everyday!

I appreciate that it connects to my companys internal account infrastructure. The teams that manage the tools and use it day-to-day for accounting and establish granular roles and permissions for timesheet review and approval. They can also pull reports for managers. The reports and navigation can sometimes be confusing as there is a difference in view when navigating from the applications menu. When you pull up say AP, the view and options are different on text only view versus the picture organization view.

We recently implemented multi-currency/global consolidations. While not fully functional yet, they should help us report on all entities within one ERP. However, the implementation process has been extremely disorganized, and it does not feel like we are receiving adequate support from the Sage implementation team to be brought up to speed on how to actually use these modules.

We use multi-entity management. The multi-entity function makes keeping track of and reporting on multiple entities very easy. When posting things at the top level that cross multiple entities, the system will post the due to/due forms and make the needed entry down at each entity level as well.

As I mentioned previously, we use the bank reconciliation module extensively. We have about 30 bank accounts (checking, savings, MM, investment, etc.) that we reconcile within Sage Intacct. Being able to match transactions, see discrepancies with ease, and create interest/service charge entries all within the module saves us probably 20-30 hours per week as a team.

It's been super helpful with the project/department accounting and if something is misclassified it's easy to reclass. We have several different projects and departments so that functionality is super import to us. Departments can easily see their budgets and expenses in real time, which they appreciate and need to view. This is all impetrative in a non-profit.

Sage Intacct has great Payment Processing and Effective Accounting Management Capability.

Through Sage Intacct is easy to keep track with various projects expense and project cost management to loss management this system is on top. Real time monitoring is effective and very helpful purchase order management software with responsive multi projects management functions. Sharing financial reports and ERP capability provided by Sage Intacct is productive.

I would choose Sage every time!

We do not use any of these functions; we keep it standard for our Sage uses. We have looked into using some of these functions, but when looking into them, our organization did not need to use them. We are hoping to implement some of these in the future.

We do have a two-entity environment (church and separate foundation) and so the ability to report separately on each "location" is essential. We can share a common chart of accounts which simplifies things, but can report separately based on location. We use Project Code feature in the AR Module to add an additional dimension in our transaction processing. This gives us the ability to report not only by department or expense line, but to also provide reporting on a particular event across the organization by tagging transactions with a specific Project Code. We also use the Project Code feature to provide additional detail for various revenue or expense lines. For example, in our school, we can have one line for tuition revenue, but then tag it with a different project code for detail (Standard Tuition, Registration Fees, Afterschool Program, etc.)

This was good enough when we bought is several years ago, but by today's standards there is a lot to be desired.

We use Sage Intacct to manage our accounting across five separate entities within one group in three different countries. The product has been beneficial for us because it allows us to deliver our statutory accounts for the consolidated group as well as the accounts for the individual companies. This has made the process more efficient and transparent.

Expense reporting, in particular, has allowed me to quickly be reimbursed for work-related expenses during travel, including per diem rates, mileage, hotel invoices, airfare, and more. After traveling for numerous weeks for work, Sage Intacct has given me peace in knowing I will not be wondering when I will have the money back in my account.

Sage 50 is an amazing program. I started out using Simply Accounting, which grew to Sage 50 over my 27 years. When the say things get better with Age, that is the case with Sage 50. They have taken all of the items that were a bother and updated them to a program that makes bookkeeping so much easier. It saves time and effort in getting reports done. The payroll portion of the program is so good in keeping things in track and allows us to send readable reports to our clients. Although the program is amazing, the service that comes with it is magnificent. They are speedy and when you do get someone online, you get quick detailed answers, so I do not have to call them back over and over again. Sage 50 makes my life easier. Thank you!

We use the multi-entity module since we have 2 entities. It is very helpful to be able to manage both in one place under one login. This allows for quick data entry and makes it easy to switch back and forth between entities. The ability to do intercompany accounting work is also a quick and easy process through Sage Intacct.

We would like to use these tools more, especially more advanced modules like multi-entity and global consolidations, project accounting, time and expense management, contract revenue management, and spend management. This would help us, but we would need to understand the capabilities before it would benefit our company.
