Intel® Ethernet 800 Network Adapters (up to 100GbE) deliver speeds up to 100GbE and are available in both PCIe and OCP form factors. New and improved features in the 800 Series, including Application Device Queues (ADQ), Dynamic Device Personalization (DDP) and support for both iWARP and RoCEv2 Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA), offer workload-optimized performance and the flexibility to meet changing network requirements. The 800 Series is designed to support high-performance server workloads such as NFV, storage, HPC-AI, and hybrid cloud. The 100GbE Intel Ethernet Network Adapter E810 and the 25GbE Intel Ethernet Network Adapter E810 are the currently available models.

A converged network adapter (CNA) is a dual-function network appliance for consolidating IT setups, achieved by connecting servers to an FC-based storage area network (SAN) and to an Ethernet-based local area networks (LAN), the hardware itself connecting to the server through a PCIe interface; essentially it spares one the need for two separate adapters.
