What is Ventiv Claims?
Ventiv Claims is a claims administration system that is comprised of one or more Claims Management modules and a variety of supporting modules, including Absence Management, Enterprise Legal Management, Workers’ Compensation, Policy Management, Billing Management, Claims Intelligence, Corrective Action Plans, and Incident Reporting. The system was designed as a claims management system from the perspective of claims examiners. Designed to make it easy to manage claims, it includes functionality like diaries, business rules, workflow management, notepads, and financial management. Ventiv Claims enables users to define custom workflows tailored to each client’s specific business process, to make claim, document, and policy administration more efficient.
Ventiv Claims offers an “out of the box” solution to clients. At the same time, the Ventiv Claims architectural design was developed with the fundamental requirement of flexibility to adapt to meet the changing business requirements of clients. The system modules, fields, interfaces, and reports are user configurable so that Ventiv Claims can be adjusted to meet most organizational processes without custom programming.

- New features are announced far before they are available, and, when they become available, it takes about a year before the features operate as expected; they also occasionally break other features.
- The reporting out of Ventiv Claims is difficult to support. For many functions, we move to a different platform.

- Most of my issues are with Digital. Users are able to select Submit more than once, they are able to type in fields that have a dropdown - which causes the claim to reject.

- Easier way to download data from the reference table and the ability to filter on active records - as some tables can be quite voluminous.

- The claims system, IVOS/Claims Enterprise, is user friendly.
- The Ventiv Claims technical support team is very knowledgeable and helpful.
- They are nationwide and affiliated with many other companies, making new project implementations more efficient.
- Upgrades can be difficult, as at times things you've fixed could now be wrong again.
- Tech support sometimes hard for them to relate to "claims people" who have little if any Systems experience making some of the conversations difficult when there are problems.
