Jamf is apple first and apple only. The architecture of the application screams that refined polishedness you'd get from Apple. The other applications that I've had experience with are not near as polished - especially for the apple ecosystem. I'd recommend Jamf for the apple centric organization or at least apple heavy org.

Jamf Pro - Apple's best friend
We used Meraki as a stop gap while were looking at Jamf Pro. Jamf Pro seemed more user friendly and the portal was easy for our technicians to use.
App deployment was more simple and easy to implement. The options for managing devices on offer with Jamf Pro also helped make the decision to go with Jamf.

Best in class!
While Kandji is impressive, it's not really parity equal to Jamf. Kandji has a lot of nice features, and the management pedagogy is very different from most other MDM solutions. However, it just doesn't quite stack up to Jamf, especially for a similar (if not more expensive) price tag. If you have Jamf, stay with Jamf. If you're new to the MDM game, then Kandji might be worth a look for your organization.

We briefly looked at the Kandji MDM, and at the time found the product was not as mature and widely supported as Jamf Pro. This may change sometime in the future but for now Jamf is the king in the Apple MDM space. The community and training opportunities etc around Jamf Pro really make a big difference.

Even thought we are using this solutions for different purposes (macOS device management VS mobile device management), I think at the end Jamf Pro is more focused or aimed for macOS management, and mobile device management is just a good addition to that. Same I can tell about Ivanty, is more about iOS/Android management rather than macOS.

Jamf Pro is far superior to any other MDM for Apple management, there really is no comparison. Jamf allows the organization to get down to the code of the computer to make changes. Where the others just apply policies etc.

First class product with a first class support
- Workspace ONE Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) Powered by AirWatch, MobileIron and Google Workspace (formerly G Suite)
Purchases are made directly through Jamf and not through a reseller or supplier. There was a test phase, accompanied by technical support, during which there was exceptionally good support. The price was unbeatable. There are many features that are not available with the other products. One of our legal entities has been using Jamf productively for over a year.

There is no comparison between Meraki SM and Jamf Pro. Just don't. If you're using Meraki SM, do yourself a favor and make the switch to almost any other solution. Yes, you can use Meraki to tie your device management to your network. And I can see reasons for why that might be a good idea. However, my experience was that SM was far less reliable at managing devices and far less easy to work with than Jamf Pro.
Mosyle is a different value proposition. If I were about to set up an MDM solution from scratch for a business, I'd be hard-pressed to decide between Mosyle and Jamf Pro. Both are fantastic solutions that offer day-one support. Mosyle Business is arguably better at integrating with Google SSO for identity and is more tightly integrated with its own Endpoint Security. We selected Jamf Pro because we had been using Jamf Now, and didn't know about Mosyle at the time. We recently evaluated Mosyle internally and almost made the switch. The reason we didn't? We had Jamf Protect set up, we had Jamf Pro set up, and switching to Mosyle would have been a significant project.

We have tried a variety of products but no other product has offered the complete ease of use and extensive support, both support base and community based, that Jamf Pro has. Jamf Pro simply has all of the best traits of any MDM on the market. It is slightly more expensive but offers so much more.

Creating a Policy is too difficult and Extension Attributes can not be created. So Collecting special Attributes are nearly impossible. Troubleshot from Policy and Scripts is not easy. - Log Files are not easy to read and to see where the problem is. It is an absolute no brainer to choose Jamf Pro because of the Simplicity and the Jamf Nation Community

even apple works with jamf pro, the connection here is simply 100% - there is no easier way to manage macOS devices and bring them to a secure state - it is important to our company that the software is up to date and this is always given with the jamf patch management - in case of problems help is also provided quickly and the jamf nation community is just overwhelmingly good

We have a two-page document [that] identifies all the key features and functionality that we rely on while using Jamf Pro to manage our Mac fleet.
Each time we're asked to compare and contrast other client management platforms, they all come up quite short of being able to provide the same functionality that we rely on with Jamf Pro. From there we then have to consider [the] cost for additional products to fill the gap, or lower our users' expectations. That is a non-starter.

Jamf Pro makes it easy to do my job

The correct MDM that I used from Lightspeed isn't [on] that list so I chose the next best thing. Jamf [Pro] has allowed us much more control. Lightspeed is geared towards business and not really education. Jamf Pro is more flexible and when we got Jamf [Pro] that was what was available. They now have even more options geared more towards education. Worth checking out. I understand how to use Jamf Pro so that is what we are staying with.
