Well suited scenario: Since I'm an user if u need any access to any of the software or if I'm not able to login to any of the software due to any issues. I can raise the request on JIRA. The ticket will be allocated to the concerned team. Then the concerned team will work on it to close the issue & update the same on the JIRA.

Doesn't necessarily need to be implemented in complex projects. Regardless of field, it will help organize teams. It is very useful for the scrum team, since it has different names than the tickets depending on the focus it will have, example: spike for when it will be to study. At the first moment of using it, the software is difficult to understand, but once it is used consistently, it is very easy to implement and use on a daily basis.

For use as a Project management tool, Jira has the go-ahead. It can provide a good space to manage and track tasks by assigning them to the people and deciding the priority.
When it comes to communicating a Roadblock, Jira doesn't provide a separate highlighted feature for it, we will have to write it down in the comment section and somebody has to read it, like how we have a separate section for brainstorming, development, and production, there should be a section for roadblock also.

Jira work management represents the solution that allows business teams such as Finance, sales or marketing to collaborate with technical teams within Jira. It has so many features like the List view, the Calendar view, the Timeline view, the Boards, Workflows, Forms, Project templates, Dashboards and reports and automation. Jira Core is very well capable of increasing productivity of the teams through centralization of information through these different types of views and the automation allows the teams to invest less time in configuration and more time in execution of work.

Jira Work Management has been well suited to obtain complete data on how much time is taking for each task to be completed. A detailed journey of each proyect cicle by allowing us to understand the challenges and opportunites each worker was able to solve and achieve. A better understanding of how efficient or not is the current work flow and how to improve it.

Jira is used for project management. The major issue is users not updating the tasks regularly. That causes stale information and inaccurate charts. This reduces its active usage. Especially when there is no dedicated project manager or product owner.

The main driver for using this is if your engineering and/or product team comes to you and says it is needed. Ultimately you want to make your team more effective and efficient and if this tool is identified by them as the one to use, then that should be all you need.

With Jira Service Management (Jira Service Desk), the biggest advantage is the ability to easily follow up and fix any issues that are raised. I also like that I can create different entry points (customers, partners, internal users, ...) and different types of requests (like product changes, feedback, product bugs or issues, operational requests, ...) and I can have different workflows for each request type. The customization and integration options are really powerful and the flexible workflows are a big plus for the product.

It is best for the projects where the users and related people of the projects are working on the same piece of work from different parts of the world. It can be called a common platform where people from different parts of the world can share their updates on the same platform. It's the best tool to track all the issues encountered in the project.

We use it for managing task planning and reviewing their status between the teams as it moves through the execution phases. We use it in addition to Asana because some functionalities are visually more powerful in Asana, but at the same time, Asana lacks some of the organizational features and integration that Jira has. Hence our internal solution is dependent on using both Asana and Jira together, with Jira being the stronger of the two. However, based on your organizations' workflow, either could suffice but I'd give higher preference to Jira for the feature set it carries.

It is well suited for project management for the development team and where collaboration with other departments can be done easily when wanting to connect for report issues and get follow-ups. Otherwise, we are using Asana for project management, timelines, and collaborating with the dedicated resources and the customers.

I believe that Jira is a bit too robust a solution for non-technical teams that have never had contact with task and project management tools. Which ends up requiring more adaptation and a longer learning curve when compared to technical teams that are already more familiar with all Jira features and specifics.

It’s well suited for longer projects from 3-6 months where you are working across several departments (Operations, IT, other management). It’s useful for communication and checking in on timelines. It’s less useful for weekly or daily touchpoints where you are really getting into detail on action items. We usually used a manual roadmap for that.

Great for agile teams of 4 or more that need to collaborate and communicate on projects, tasks, and bugs. This site works well for managers and individual contributors to gain exposure to details and updates without having to track manually and reach out to partners on projects to get details from them. You can @ mention teammates, mark items as complete, and add sub-tasks. Another great scenario is to utilize this in addition to collaboration platforms, like Teams and Slack. You can connect Jira here and create and add tasks.

Jira Work Management adapts very well to the creation of requirements for projects, excellent for defining responsibilities, times, and the status of a task, bug, etc. Its forms cover in detail every space needed to handle issues, including budgets. However, it is not very well suited for data visualization.

This is generally a competent project management tool for any kind of business. However, because it is so similar to Jira Software, I'd suggest it is most useful for software development. It's easy to use this product for teams outside of our engineering department and have it integrate easily with all other teams across the company.
