What is Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud?

Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud provides a solution for organizations' IT security needs, blocking ransomware, file-less malware, zero-day attacks and other emerging threats. Kaspersky’s cloud-based approach helps users to work securely on any device, and collaborate safely online, at work or at home, from remote offices and in the field. The cloud-native console means the organization's security can be managed from anywhere, any time.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud aims to promote safe cloud adoption, with Shadow IT Discovery and protection for MS Office 365. When starting, there’s no need to set up a server or configure security policies, and users are protected from the instant they’re online.

Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) is a key part of Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud for providing visibility, and an automated response to threats. Adaptive Anomaly Control (AAC) with web, application and device controls efficiently hardens the system and minimizes the attack surface.

Ultimately, Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud helps SMBs to spend less time managing their IT security so they can focus on other high-priority business issues with the knowledge that their business is protected against known and evasive threats.

Its one stop solution on endpoint protection thru cloud based solution with peace of mind. The EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response) feature effectivess is very good and also not slow down the end point performance. The key technical engine of Adaptive Security Technology is one of the best engine in the EDR aspect.

We use it as an antivirus, and as an EDR to detect new risks that appear, it can detect ransomware, polymorphic malware, and some social engineering attacks. It is also capable of detecting compromised accounts. As something unfavorable, its EDR capabilities are not completely complete, and it does not have an agent for Linux servers.

Well-Suited Scenarios:Small to Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs): Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud is well-suited for SMBs with limited IT resources. Its cloud-based management simplifies deployment and ongoing security administration, allowing smaller businesses to benefit from enterprise-grade protection without the complexity.Distributed Workforces: In scenarios where employees work remotely or across multiple locations, the cloud-based nature of Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud is advantageous. It enables centralized management of security policies, ensuring consistent protection for all endpoints regardless of their physical location.Proactive Threat Detection: Organizations that prioritize proactive threat detection and response benefit from Kaspersky's advanced capabilities. The endpoint detection and response (EDR) features help identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time, crucial for industries handling sensitive data.Less Appropriate Scenarios:Highly Regulated Industries with Specific Compliance Requirements: In industries with stringent compliance regulations, organizations may require specialized solutions that offer more granular control and reporting features tailored to specific compliance standards. Kaspersky may need to enhance customization options to cater to these specific needs.Resource-Constrained Environments: While Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud is generally efficient, organizations with extremely resource-constrained environments, such as older hardware or limited bandwidth, might find the solution demanding in terms of system resources.

In dealing with other cloud based providers in the past, Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud has the advantage. There are support options subscriptions that can be added that allow you to have direct voice contact with a person in technical support, in a timely manner. For a client with limited IT resources, Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud is a key component of the cyber security journey.

For me KES Cloud is well suited for any company, small or large since it has a proper solution for anyone. As it's named Endpoint, it is because of the tools it has to solve each one of everything that can arise, from a simple virus to a full hack attack, helping on each one of the configurable options within the console for each company and also added to this to a personalized Security profiles by level of management, this because not all of the users need access to certain sites, data, networks, even applications when using standard PC image (as an example). All this is great although for IT can be work but it makes a better control by user level experience and guidelines that each department needs to have.

Ever since we have used Kaspersky, we have not had a single ransomware breach. With other products not only were breaches still an issue but the time to fix them also became troublesome. Having live reports has helped us and our clients deal with issues as they occur and keeps bad actors out of their systems.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud is a great tool to have and we can have all the requirements to our organization into this platform. Web Control, Web Threat, Ransomware protection and the detection and response to threats are the best among all of the other platforms that wwe found and th's way we recommend this product.

I think this cybersecurity product is suited for small businesses. It's simple to use but grants a good level of protection from the majority of threats. I would not recommend it for companies with hundreds or thousands of workstations since it lacks some advanced EDR/XDR features. In such cases, I would prefer other Kaspersky solutions such as Endpoint Security Cloud Pro or even other vendors' products (Trend Micro, Crowdstrike, etc.)

The Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud is best suited in providing the security to all the users and there data hosted on cloud also it is a great solution for all the IT related security problems. Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud is very useful in training the employee of the organization about Cyber Security importance and the threats associated with it.
I don't think that there is any scenario where Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud is less appropriate.
